Rowan, Howl, Straz, and Minka found themselves suffocating under the weight of Gaige's gaze alone. His oppressive aura and intimidating presence made their knees weak.

Rowan swallowed hard, mustering the courage to voice his concerns. He said, "I know we may seem like people who persistently want to harm your family, Gaige, but they are a threat."

Gaige could genuinely grasp their fears and the suspicions the four had voiced repeatedly. However, what irritated him most was their persistence, seemingly acting without regard for the potential harm not only to his feelings but also to those of others, especially Axel.

"They are not dangerous. Rowan." Gaige said. "Minka wouldn't be in that state if she didn't attack first."

"But are you going to just keep living with purgers, not knowing they will suddenly change and purge you all instead?"
