An hour before Gaige's surprise attack on Andy, Andy was peacefully babysitting a group of first-graders while dressed in disguise.

"Grandma! Tell us a story!" one child from the first-grader group implored.

"Tell us a cool story!" another child chimed in.

"Yes! Yes! The one with wings!" yet another child eagerly added.

After the children had expended their energy running around the classroom, they started pestering Andy, who was sitting in the corner, looking like an actual old lady. They dragged him to the center of the room, where they excitedly handed him a pile of fairytale books.

The majority of these books featured tales about how wonderful and beautiful heaven was. When Andy glanced at the covers of these storybooks, his face soured.

However, he randomly selected a book, though he had no intention of actually reading it to them. Gradually, the frown on his face transformed into a benign expression, and he instructed the children to find their most comfortable spots to sit

[Warning: Killing Earthlings is not allowed.] [You'll be penalized.] Gaige simply rolled his eyes at Adal's system warning. He doesn't intend to kill anyone, not even the grade schoolers. He may have looked like someone recklessly wreaking havoc inside the elementary school, but in fact, all his movements are calculated. There is no such huge effect as him losing access to his skills because he can simply use his divine powers. While the four thug-like men dropped to the ground one by one, Gaige's black hair slowly turned into its holy-looking blond color. He then approached the four men, who were rolling on the ground in pain, and made them scream more in pain when he grabbed them directly on their wounds. "Never get yourse

"They are noisy," Gaige remarked bluntly, his gaze fixed on the grade schoolers who were crying loudly in front of them. "Police and other people are coming. What should we do?" Howl asked, panic evident in his voice. All eyes were on Gaige, waiting for his guidance, as he remained remarkably composed even in the midst of the chaos. "Shall we kill them all?" Gaige casually proposed, a statement that sent shockwaves through the group. Minka and Straz instinctively embraced the children to shield them, while Rowan and Howl shot Gaige angry glares. "I'm kidding," Gaige clarified without a hint of a smile or laughter. He approached the kids, and a holy glow enveloped his body, then radiated outwards, causing the children to slump to the ground and fall into slumber. "What did you do?" Rowan inquired with concern. "I put them to sleep. They won't remember a thing when they wake up," Gaige replied. He strolled out nonchalantly, with the others following closely behind. "Is it okay to

Back in Aogriv, the return of Minka, Rowan, Straz, and Howl with Gaige and Ainspenser at their residence took everyone by surprise. The expectation had been that the four would be taken to Ademordna or the Sky God Church, yet they were back at their residence as if it had been a brief excursion. Eric displayed the most evident dissatisfaction with their return. He immediately approached Gaige, asking, "Why are they here again?" with no concern for whether the four could overhear his displeasure. "A lot happened. I forgot to drop them off somewhere else," Gaige replied with reluctance. He patted Eric's shoulder as he reminded him, "In any case, that's the least of your concerns," a statement that conveyed a deeper meaning Eric was well aware of. "I know. We've also informed the others about the upcoming hunt," Eric grunted. He cast a pointed glare at the four before turning around and sitting down to discuss the impending hunt with the other purgers. Antur, who sat beside Eric, was

  • Welcome back Transmigrator   Chapter 229: "Prep Time"

The three purgers in front of Gaige regarded him with curiosity. They couldn't help but be intrigued by the villainous smile he wore while exuding a holy aura. Gaige's saintly appearance, marked by his dark black, long, silky hair, healthy glowing fair skin, elegant posture, and benevolent emerald eyes, often left them feeling uneasy when he seemed to harbor wicked thoughts despite his divine appearance. "What are you thinking about?" Ainspenser asked. "Hmm, let's not participate. Let's just watch the hunt," Gaige replied with a wide smile, as if he had a brilliant plan in mind. "Watch? But what will happen to the purgeable beings here? They'll be seized by the spirits," Ainspenser reminded him. Gaige's smile expanded even further, and everyone was taken aback when he suddenly kissed Ainspenser on the lips. "My wife finally learned to care for my family," he happily commented, which caused Ainspenser to keep her silence. She can't say anything because her intention is different fr

Gaige returned to the church he had once destroyed. He didn't anticipate that he would feel regret for his actions, and he certainly didn't expect the church to be of any assistance to him. In his eyes, the church had been more of a burden than anything else. "Saint Gaige, welcome back," the head priest greeted him, despite Gaige's previous request not to use the title. It vexed Gaige that the priest continued to address him in this manner. "How long will the repairs take?" Gaige inquired as he made a full bow in front of the altar, which was essentially the only part of the church that remained standing. Referring to it as "repairs" felt almost shameless, given that the church intended to rebuild the entire structure. "It will take more than a month, Saint," the priest replied. Gaige clicked his tongue in frustration. He recognized that his role as a saint would prove useful in his pursuit of revenge this time, but it would be rendered useless without a church to serve. [Do you want to collaborate with a purger named Ainspenser for the purging? Yes/No] Gaige read the text that popped up on his system and asked Adal, "Are you protesting?" Adal didn't respond, so he said, "Stop sulking and do your usual thing." He called for her because nowadays his notification comes out in the form of a popup message instead of Adal's verbal notice. [Adal is not sulking.] "Oh, I thought you forgot how to talk." [Adal is not stupid like the user.] Gaige snorted at Adal's remarks. He knows that Adal got into trouble because of the last thing he asked her to do, so he just lets her be. He pressed the "no" button on the screen and focused more on the purgeable beings in front of him. "You're enduring well, child," Gaige softly said. He called the man a "child," even though it looks like someone in his early twenties. He just had the habit of calling a believer or devotee "child" because he sees them as children who always whine to their gods, even with a small bi

Gaige realized he needed to be more cautious when assigning tasks to the church members. He hadn't anticipated the overwhelming response to his straightforward request for the media. The reporters he had expelled just a few days ago returned as if nothing had occurred. What's more, there were multiple groups present, crowding the forest near where the former church had stood. It was exactly what he had ordered. The church staff had set up a sizable tent for the devotees to find shade, but it was insufficient to accommodate everyone. A thousand devotees, their origin a mystery, disrupted the peace of the forest near the once-small church. "Adal, please, stop bothering me," Gaige bluntly requested. Unfortunately, the unyielding wisdom core didn't cease, making the monotonous noise in his head even more aggravating. Even though Adal was now capable of speaking with emotion, it remained annoying that she intentionally maintained a monotone tone. [The system reminds you of your mission

Axel rubbed his eyes, struggling with dizziness and blurred vision. He had found little time for rest due to the intense work he'd put into preparing for their upcoming hunt. Assuming the role of the leader of the purgeable beings had made him appreciate the challenges Rowan and Gaige had faced during their first hunt. Observing everyone lying down in the living room, he decided to encourage them to take a nap since he, too, was thoroughly exhausted. Being the first to rise, Axel made his way towards the door, only to be startled by a sight he initially believed was a hallucination. "What happened?" "I tripped." Gaige nonchalantly passed by the living room, blood gushing from his chest. Ainspenser had left him to comfort their son, who was terrified by the sight of his father with a hole in his chest. "Did you trip into a booby trap?" Axel inquired. "You could say that," Gaige replied with reluctance. "Do you need any assistance?" "No. Just don't disturb my sleep." "Okay." Ev

Chapter 256: "Welcome to the End!"

Once Gaige Feryuson returned to Earth, the system was no longer with him or anyone else. He was overjoyed when he gazed into his reflection and saw his appearance revert to what he recognized as his original and very first identity—the average-looking Kim Nery. Though he looked plain, weaker, and less imposing than the main character-like appearance of the Commander Knight Gaige Feryuson, he loved his Kim Nery look because it granted him more peace and a sense of calmness. "Papa! You look uglier!" Lambert pointed out, and he immediately jumped into Gaige's arms when he noticed him descending the stairs. "You don't have to be rude anymore," Gaige said. He laughed at his son's apt remark. "Bert, the purger system is all gone," and he gave him a kiss in appreciation for the fact that his son still recognized him despite his current downgraded appearance. Lambert pouted, causing Gaige to laugh even louder. Lambert said, "I am just being honest, papa." Everyone gathered one by one, draw

Chapter 255: "Welcome back, Kim Nery!"

The chaos surrounding Gaige Feryuson showed no signs of abating, even after the one who initiated it had perished. Explosions and fires raged, and the air echoed with screams and cries. The streets were strewn with corpses and blood, and despair loomed over everything. Gaige Feryuson realized that the world had indeed been abandoned because the once-familiar skies were now devoid of the countless angels he had grown accustomed to seeing. For Gaige, it was far from comforting to gaze up at a clear sky for the first time without spotting any celestial beings lazily drifting through the heavens. Despite the departure of the immensely powerful creator, this didn't imply that only humans would remain. The remaining purgeable beings still existed, and although their extraordinary abilities would gradually wane, new returnees would continue to arrive. This was a fortunate development for the returnees and transmigrators, although not all of them were benevolent; some certainly posed a thr

    Chapter 254: "Dandelions"

Each existing world has its own set of rules and foundational principles. Whenever something or someone violates these laws or disrupts the foundation that sustains its existence, the gods, along with the celestial beings, step in to intervene. The Purger system is one such example of divine intervention. Its purpose is to ensure that Earth remains exclusive to single-lifers, and this exclusivity serves a specific objective. Single-lifers are inherently less powerful than multiple-lifers, making purgers indispensable for Earth's stability and balance. However, the gods retain the freedom to abandon a world if it becomes excessively troublesome and burdensome to maintain, regardless of the significance of its inhabitants. In the case of Earth, the loss of an archangel, a significant decrease in the purger population, and a recurrence of errors have made the gods less inclined to rectify the situation and more inclined to forsake the world. Abandoning a world is a relatively straigh

    Chapter 253: "Shut it down!"

Gaige Feryuson and his family had safely departed Yawyklim City. Each member settled into their seats while Gaige piloted the minibus. It was a moment of respite, albeit brief, as an unexpected and massive explosion rocked the entire city of Yawyklim. Gaige slammed the brakes suddenly, causing all his passengers to lurch forward, then quickly settle back in their seats. Everyone peered out the windows, their curiosity piqued by the sudden explosion. "Hasn't the hunt concluded?" Cain inquired. In response, the others simply shrugged, equally perplexed. As they were leaving, they had witnessed angels descending from the sky. They assumed it was the angels' responsibility to restore order following the hunt's chaos. They didn't quite comprehend the methods the angels employed. Gaige mumbled, "Hmm, it's not the angels." He enhanced his vision using his divine abilities to see farther and observe the events unfolding inside the city. Although his vision was somewhat limited, it was enou

Chapter 252: "You steal the life out of me!"

The administrators and gods had convened in one place to investigate the individual responsible for tampering with Earth's purging system. They had initially waited patiently for Andy YDna's summons, but several seconds had already passed, and the elusive purger had yet to appear. The significant time difference between Earth and heaven meant that waiting for even a brief moment in heaven translated to hours on Earth. The delay in receiving the summons was causing irritation to mount among those gathered. One particular god, his patience worn thin, unleashed his frustration upon the system administrators, angels, and toads. "What is going on? How much longer must I endure this waiting?" he growled. As a god vented his frustration, the surroundings quaked, and those beneath him gasped for air, momentarily losing their ability to breathe due to the sheer force of his presence. "Please, remain calm," Lord Lintian urged, trying to maintain composure. He sighed while his hands were occu

Chapter 251: "Beware of Bugs and Errors"

Ainspenser couldn't comprehend why everyone was staring at them with evident dismay. Frustrated by the situation, she questioned, "Why are they acting like this?" Gaige Feryuson, however, merely let out a heavy sigh and chose to ignore her inquiry. The murmurs from the onlookers continued, with voices speculating, "Which side is he on?" In reality, Gaige didn't align himself with either side. He walked away from the gathering to avoid getting caught up in the brewing drama. As all eyes followed him, they were taken aback when Gaige's fist struck something that appeared invisible. A resounding noise filled the air, and an invisible figure was sent tumbling. The invisibility spell concealing Andy shattered upon impact with the wall. He struggled to regain his footing but couldn't utter a word. Gaige reappeared in front of Andy, aiming his gun at Andy's forehead and firing without uttering a word. The sudden gunshot sent shockwaves through the onlookers, rendering them momentarily sp

Chapter 250: "WARNING: You got scammed!"

The Central Plaza was enveloped in the suffocating aura of death. Purgers opened fire fervently, even before they touched the ground. Fortunately, the purgeable beings were ready. Those with the ability to create shields covered those charging forward, allowing the others to engage the purgers immediately. As the two sides collided, the area became drenched in blood, and the acrid scent of death hung heavily in the air. The triumphant shouts of the enemy were nauseating, but no one wavered. "We can win!" declared one of the leaders upon seeing the purgers sustain more damage. The initial elation and confidence of the purgers quickly dwindled as the purgeable beings gained the upper hand. No one had expected these typically fearful and feeble individuals to respond with such ferocity. It caused the purgers to feel iffy about the sudden change. Also, the purgers' morale declines even more as they worry that they might not respawn as a result of the system's ongoing failure to co

Chapter 249: "Why are you targeting me?"

Except for Gaige and Ainspenser, everyone had gathered at Yawyklim Central Plaza. It was an unprecedented occurrence during the hunt, where opposing sides engaged in direct combat instead of scattered skirmishes. Purgers typically operated individually or in small groups, and rarely had they united en masse. On the other hand, purgeable beings were usually helpless and unprepared during the hunt. However, this time, they had learned how the hunt worked and gained the knowledge of how to combat purgers. The fear and vulnerability that once filled their eyes had given way to determination and a will to survive through their own strength and abilities. All of these changes had come about due to the efforts of both Andy and Gaige. Gaige had successfully persuaded the purgeable beings to cooperate, while Andy had effectively led the purgers. Even the angels observing from above found themselves anticipating the outcome of this rare event. With no clear distinction between hunters and pre

Chapter 248: "Are we still playing?"

A gentle breeze carried an oily scent through the air. Distant roars, initially faint and unclear, gradually intensified in volume and significance. Suddenly, Gaige Feryuson found himself in an open, expansive area that left him feeling uneasy. Perplexed by his circumstances, Gaige slumped down, gazing vacantly at the sky while making feeble attempts to grasp at the mud beneath him. "Why am I in the mud?" he wondered, his words being spoken with his mouth but only echoing within his mind. As he continued to survey the peculiar scene, he struggled to recall what he might have forgotten. Just then, a powerful gust of wind tore through the space with swiftness. However, the wind seemed to be coming from his eyes, so he turned his head to the side to shield himself from it. Gaige's face stung as the mud struck him with force. It was at that moment that the open space abruptly transformed into a confined area, resembling a dungeon. "Haha! Seriously." He laughed as he finally realize
