CHAPTER 88

After their dinner, Charlotte told her father to sleep in the room they prepared for him inside the mansion. She will see him again tomorrow morning after visiting the Royal Palace tonight. Although his worries are useless, the Count still asked if she will do something dangerous. Charlotte appreciated her father's concern and simply told him that she just need to see Prince Marius and give her reports. After reassuring her father, she left the mansion in secret and goes straight to the Royal Palace.

There is another reason why the female General asked her father to stay in their mansion tonight. Before they eat their dinner, Charlotte received a report from Sir Lance that a few suspicious people are monitoring the Count's movement since last night. They still haven't discovered who are those people but Charlotte can guess they probably came from the opposite faction. Maybe those people are thinking they can use Count Byron against Charlotte now that they know their connection.
