Prologue

"are you even listening" Kyle asked. 

"Uhhh yeahh, of course" Cheryl muttered.

"You seem lost" he said tracing her eyes which landed on a girl sitting at the other end of the restaurant.

"Do you know her" he asked.

"Some bitch I ran into today" she said glaring at the girl.

"You look uneasy since you came" Kyle queried, "you suggested this dinner" he said.

"I'm fine" she muttered still glancing at her phone which made a beeping sound almost immediately.

"I'll take my leave first" she said and left before he could say anything.

"What's up with her" he muttered and rushed after her but couldn't find her as he stepped out.

"Yes I'm on my way" he heard behind him and turned to see the girl Cheryl was glaring at, leaving the restaurant.

"I'm really worried about her" he said and his phone rang.

"Where the hell are you" his superior yelled.

"There's been another murder on woods avenue" he said.

"I'm close by" Kyle said rushing out.

"We are on our way" the superior said and hung up.

Sirens could be heard as the police rounded the area. They were patrolling, looking for every clue.

"Detective Kyle" his superior called out.

"Yes sir" he replied, "two bodies have been found so far and as usual their hearts are ripped out".

"This is all so confusing" the man said and immediately a loud cry was heard not far from them.

They rushed to the scene which was so dark, to see the masked killer about to finish a girl who begged dearly for her life.

"Freeze" detective Kyle yelled taking slow strides towards them.

"Still as handsome as ever, we meet again" the masked lady yelled with her knife still raised above the girl.

"I killed you" he said.

"I never die" she smirked, "today's your lucky day" she said to the girl and faced Kyle.

"Don't move" he said tightening his grip on his gun, "let her go" he said again.

"How about a little surprise" she smirked and slowly took off her mask.

"Cheryl" Kyle muttered as his shoulder dropped.

With that she dug the knife into the girl's thigh and took a sharp bend as the police shot aimlessly at her. 

"It can't be" he muttered falling on his knees, taking a look at the girl on the floor he gasped. It was the same girl from the restaurant.

The twins, Cheryl and Cherish Roberts are the only children of their parents, Mr&Mrs Roberts living in L.A. Mr. Roberts is a PA to the known Mr Newton of Newton's construction companies, while his wife, Mrs Roberts owns a boutique, and is closer to her children unlike their dad who is hardly around.

Detective Kyle Newton, the second son of Mr Newton of Newton's construction companies, a competent detective of the LAPD who has never failed in any case he handles, he always gets the culprits. He has kept this record for three years since he joined the force.

Laurel Adams, an ex convict who was jailed for the murder of her father becomes a serial killer and has been on the loose for two years, threatening the lives of citizens. Her mode of killing was so brutal as she always rips out the heart of her victims. She was always masked on her missions and all the police knew was that she is a female.

What happens when Cheryl gets entangled with detective Kyle after the demise of her twin, Cherish, and Laurel returns as Cherish after being shot dead by detective Kyle???

Is Laurel killing at will or does she have a superior? Why does she take out the hearts of her victims??
