Chapter four

I discovered that Lucifer is at level forty-four while Lily is at level twenty, Cloud is at level twenty-five, Sexy is at level thirty and Alpha is at level thirty-four. I'm the only one at a low level with them, so I'm safe to be with them.

Furthermore, I also found out some rules about the game. When you have the same label, you can kill each other. But when your opponent is one level higher than you, he has the right to kill you, but you can't kill him because his level is higher than yours. If you are at a high level, you can kill those below you by only one level to increase your rank. But when at level forty and above like Lucifer, they can kill at any level as long as their score is lower. And the only ones who can kill them are those with higher levels compared to them such as those at levels fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty to one hundred.

But ever since I landed in this game, I have only known Lucifer with a high score. But at these times I heard that there was an even higher level than him and that is also why we are now hiding in the safety zone. Because there is a group that everyone fears and shuns. That is the group that has high levels and can kill any type of level.

Merciless, that was the name of their group of four men. King, Boss, Young master, and Black Knight. They are equally at a high rank and high level. They have memorized every rule in this game, and they have also honed their fighting skills. I even heard that they have never lost a game and no one has dared to challenge them. That is why every time they pass the road, it's always clean and no one can be seen around them. They are considered pros in this game, and maybe one of them will be able to return to the real world with the big prize he won. I heard that when you reach level one hundred you can leave this game and you can even take with you the cash prize you won. At first, I didn't believe it, but there was someone who once won and got out of this place. That's why I had the confidence in myself to reach the level that Demon has now so that it will be easier for me to rise in the ranks and I will be able to get out of this game immediately.

“Avoid the Merciless group as much as possible if you want to survive. Like the name of their group, they are impartial, and they kill anyone who blocks their path.” Lily said to me while we were still inside the elevator. Moments later, we heard loud shouts from outside and a series of gunshots more than twenty times.

I looked around at my companions inside. All of them with their heads bowed and there was a trace of fear on their faces except for Lucifer, who was holding his sword tightly and firmly and there was a trace of rage on his face.

Wow. Is it true that I see it now? Almost only in movies and fantasy games do I see such ignition in the hand. I can't help but admire the power he has. It's also not surprising why he has a scary aura because he was once a member of a group that has Merciless when it comes to killing.

I gained more self-confidence to know him and be friends with him. I need to know the secret of how he reached such a high level. Not only that, but I had to learn the abilities he had as well as his weaknesses. If I can surpass the level he has now, I will have to study how I can beat the Merciless group. “Genius one? What do you mean?” I asked her, and then she smiled and turned her gaze again to Cloud, who was now listening to music with his white cloud-shaped headphone.

“At first I thought he could read minds, but he can't. He can read your mind with his two eyes. The first time he looks at someone he knows right away what kind of person he is facing, and if you're planning to do something don't ever look him in the eye or make it obvious to him because he'll catch you right away.” In response, I just nodded my head and admired his intelligence. When I suddenly turned my gaze to player Sexy, who keeps staring at me with an enticing stare in her eyes. So, I turned away from her and swallowed deeply because I was suddenly terrified of the way she stared at me. Well, she's beautiful and has a sexy body, so I'm sure many men also like her, but she's not my type of woman, and I'm not ready to fall in love again.

“But you know? It's not Lucifer and Cloud you should avoid, but Sexy.” Lily whispered to me.

“I guess so,” I replied to her and she smiled.

“You don't hear her story yet of how she killed.” She said at once, she brought me closer to her, and she whispered in my ear. “Once she invites you to have a one-night stand with her, don't agree because she will just kill you.” She added, so my eyes widened, and I turned to Sexy again where she bit her lower lip and she winked at me. So, I turned around again and held my chest because I felt my body suddenly heat up and my heartbeat quickened.

I learned from Lily that she uses her charisma to kill people, and her only target is men. She once seduced Lucifer before, but he always pushed her away and ignored her. I also discovered that Alpha and she had a deep relationship, but it is surprising that until now, Alpha is still very much alive, and he seems okay even if we are with Sexy now. It appears that their relationship wasn't just a flirtation and I can see in Alpha's eyes that he still feels love for Sexy, but he just doesn't make it very obvious. Earlier I noticed that Alpha was secretly glancing at Sexy and I noticed that Sexy was trying to avoid looking at him, and she wasn't even looking at Alpha. Perhaps they also went through a deep break up and even though they try to avoid each other, we feel from them that they still care for each other. So maybe Sexy has been staring at me earlier because she wants to show Alpha that she is different from the woman he met before. And because of that, I even noticed earlier that Alpha was looking at me sharply, and I could feel in his clasped arm how much he was jealous of me. So, I just turned around again and didn't look back because I might get into a fight.

“Alpha is the best man for me.” What Lily said made me look at her with a look of astonishment on my face. I noticed that her two cheeks seemed to be red and the smiles on her lips were strange. She didn't even admit it to me, but I sense that she likes Alpha. One-sided, maybe. But I can’t advise her now to move on to him because she still looks blind to love, and she seems to have fallen deeply in love with him. So, I just shook my head and turned my gaze to Lucifer, who was looking at me also. So, my eyes widened, and I just bowed my head.

What are these people with me now? Isn't there anything normal about them, like me? Almost all of them have hidden abilities and strengths. While I am still not elevated to level three. I didn't know where to start or how to kill because I was so weak.

So, I slowly approached Lucifer as he followed me with his sharp gaze and raised one eyebrow. “What are you doing?” He inquired, and then I tried to smile on my lips even though my hands were shaking in fear of him.

“Can I call you my master now?” I replied once he frowned, and he faced me once he looked at me from head to toe.
