"That was an okay fight."
Amelia stretched her body with interest. The fight was too slow for her, and the techniques looked Medicare at the best. They had no proper aura and no proper technique. She felt all these cheers to be hollow. Even though she knew this was the very best these people could do, it wasn't exciting to her anymore.
Besides, even the basic warriors of the Crystal Pulse had better techniques and control. Of course, they had no time to reach the level where they could impress her, but Amelia felt those humans had the ability to reach that point in future.
On the other hand, this flashy fight with a combination of moves wasn't enough for her to see a future for those two. Even the winner wouldn't grow beyond the basic level.
She saw a similar uninterested expression from Jason. He was too old to enjoy a duel at this level. As for Hanna, her sole focus was on her snacks and telling stories to her Void Ripper.
"Shall we?"
She felt excited when she thought about going against Jason. He wasn't as strong as her and certainly lacked experience with his age difference. Still, Jason was the oldest living person on Yuriel by his mental age being well over six hundred years.
With the maturity and the will to win, Jason was the only opponent who could take her interest.
‘Except his aura!’
Amelia didn’t like the fact that Jason only used Mana to create his aura. Of course, she knew he couldn’t use aura like her, and his cosmic power came as a wizard. She would love to take on Jason as a wizard, but he couldn’t show his strength to the world.
‘It is good that he can’t use it in front of everyone.’
She never forgot that Jason could truly harm her while she was in this physical form. The last time Jason unleashed his potential was when he awakened his power, and it harmed her energy core.
Which, ultimately led to Jason using his own power to repair her energy core. Amelia never forgot the look she saw on Hanna’s face when she realised she was draining Jason’s energy with no care. In the end, one who truly got hurt was Hanna who thought both she and Jason had hurt each other.
Since then, she had been careful when sparring against Jason.
‘And he really thinks he could harm me, doesn’t he?’
She felt amused when she thought how careful Jason was when they went against each other. Seeing his worried looks and taking his step back at the right moment made her amused. However, she wanted to see what Jason was truly capable of, and there was no better day than today.
“My Lord, My Lady, the stage is set.”
Amelia raised her head when she heard Garth’s words.
She already felt the guards coming closer, and Xanders and Garth taking their positions.
‘I can protect her even when I am in the middle of the arena.’
She had no trouble flattening this entire arena if she wished to do so, yet it was better to have some time to focus on Jason without having to care for their child.
“You have to stay here and be good, okay? You are a brave girl.”
“Hanna is a brave girl, Mommy. Hanna is obedient.”
Her sweet response made Amelia smile, and she held back from kissing Hanna.
Hanna’s father was too soft in raising their child, and she had to act at least a bit strict. Otherwise, Hanna would always get her way.
“Shall we take a walk?”
Amelia patted Hanna’s head before looking at Jason.
Hanna seemed to be getting better with time. She wasn’t avoiding people as she used to do, but she still wanted to be with either her or Jason. It wasn’t a problem for both of them since they always took turns taking care of Hanna. Either way, her innocent smile made Amelia feel satisfied.
They raised their child well, and it wasn’t an easy task to be parents. Still, she felt they did a great job in taking care of a child who had a challenging past.
“A walk?”
Jason, who placed Hanna on the chair, already had his foot on the balcony.
“Yes. Why? Are you in a hurry to get beat up?”
“Ah… No!”
She swallowed her laugh when she saw the look on Jason’s face. It was rare to see his baffled expression, and Amelia knew exactly how to catch him off-guard. It was obvious he wanted to simply jump off and approach the stage. However, Amelia wasn’t in a hurry.
It was rare for them to have an opportunity to chat other than at night when Hanna was asleep.
“Come on. We don’t have all day. Don’t you have awards to give out?”
“Yes.”
Amelia simply passed through Jason’s subordinates who were looking at them.
‘What are you all looking at? I am talking to him.’
She gave them a cold glance before taking the lead.
…
“I am not going to suppress my strength.”
“Huh?”
Amelia smirked when Jason stopped on his trail. He looked a bit shocked and confused by her words.
She heard the sound coming from the outside. Bruce, Jason’s media coordinator announced their entrance to the arena, and she heard the voices slowly dying down. They had enough privacy while they walked down the main seat to the arena through the underground route.
They only assigned several guards to ensure the safety of the contenders and to make sure these long corridors didn’t become completely empty.
“What? Didn’t you think I wouldn’t notice you holding back? You better prepare to use everything you have.”
“I don’t think I can fight with you if you use your full strength.”
“I won’t kill you, so don’t worry.”
Amelia smirked again before taking the lead.
She wanted to laugh when she felt Jason staring at her with a stunned expression. If anyone knew her true strength in her current form, it was Jason. However, Amelia knew she shouldn’t underestimate Jason.
If Jason fought her with intentions to kill, she knew he would have a better chance of doing so. She knew his weird summon considered Void Rippers as food, and she never even heard of a creature named Arcane Spawn.

"Aren't you worried about that old man? Shouldn't we get rid of him?"Amelia only brought it up once Hanna had drifted to sleep, still clinging tightly to her.Jason didn’t look up from his papers."He isn't snooping around, is he?"His hand moved smoothly, turning a page with practised ease. The light from the magic lantern caught the fine lines of modern paper, not parchment.A subtle sign of change. One of many Earth-born advancements quietly seeping into Yuriel under his guidance.Amelia brushed a soft strand of hair away from Hanna’s face, her eyes lingering on the child's peaceful expression."Hm. But none of your people can stop him."Her voice was calm, but the edge beneath it was unmistakable.Jason finally looked up and met her gaze."Let's wait and see," he said."I don't think he’ll stay long. He’s one of the Shadows. They carry out the Grand Wizards’ will. People like him don’t linger—they act."He paused. The words that followed were slower. More thoughtful. He didn’t bot
307 - Peace
"It is indeed impressive. No wonder those fools from the Brodice Kingdom are terrified of you."The hooded figure removed his invisibility, stepping out of the corner with composed movements. His voice was steady and regained the cool confidence of someone who knew his worth.“And you are indeed a powerful woman, Madam Amelia. This is my first time witnessing the presence of a Peak Grandmaster. They are… extremely rare. Rarer than Grand Wizards, in fact.”Despite his previous caution, the Master Wizard now carried himself with certainty. He wasn't someone easily intimidated—and though he wouldn’t pick a fight here, his pride wouldn’t allow him to remain cowering either.“Eh! The ghost is here! Catch it!” Hanna started struggling in Amelia’s arms with sparkling eyes.Amelia held her firmly."That is not a ghost, baby." Jason’s voice was gentle, but his gaze stayed fixed on the now-visible man.The atmosphere in the hall shifted.Tension rippled through the officials as they realised th
306 - The Messenger
The atmosphere grew heavier, the tension thickening with each breath. The envoys from the Brodice Kingdom stood their ground, their jaws clenched in barely contained frustration.Their eyes—especially those of the Grandmasters—never left Amelia. There was fear there, even if none of them dared to admit it. One step too far, and they knew she could crush them where they stood.Still, their leader stepped forward, holding a scroll with trembling fingers masked by feigned authority.“We are envoys of the Brodice Kingdom,” he declared, voice echoing with forced confidence.“I stand here on behalf of His Majesty—the absolute ruler of our lands. In his name, we extend a proposal of peace. We are willing to lift the bounty on your head... in exchange for removing the bounties you have placed on His Majesty and his subjects.”His words were rehearsed—measured—but anyone could see the nerves behind them.“No.” The room froze. The envoy blinked.“W–What?” Even the officials of Light Shone looked
305 - Tell Me
‘This place… it’s really busy…’ The hooded figure observed the bustling administrative hall in silent awe. He had expected chaos—a disorganised mess of self-proclaimed rulers who were unfit to govern. But instead, what he saw was efficiency. Decisions were being made on the spot, minor issues were being resolved instantly, and orders were being swiftly relayed.Even without direct oversight, everything flowed seamlessly. The alien humans had a system, and they had something else, something his people lacked—Instant communication. He knew of it. They called it a forum or something.‘A divided authority, yet still centralised around a leader…’ His gaze flickered toward the two empty seats in the center of the hall. A symbol of true leadership. Those seated around them were not aristocrats, not nobles, but humble-looking men and women dressed in practical, simple clothing. Yet their eyes were sharp, their minds sharper. Each of them radiated competence.‘These aren’t placeholders. These
304 - An Overwhelming Prescence
‘So, this is Light Shone.’His hidden eyes scanned the streets as he walked leisurely, moving unseen alongside the startled envoys.‘Still too small, but… this is serious potential.’He had slipped out of the carriage as the guards inspected it, effortlessly avoiding their scrutiny. While his invisibility shielded him from their eyes, he still occupied physical space—and he preferred not to take the risk of being noticed. With measured steps, he blended into the bustling streets. What he saw defied his expectations. The village was alive. It wasn’t just busy—it thrived.Shops occupied every available space, their owners negotiating prices with eager customers. People bustled past him, engaged in work yet carrying an air of contentment, their movements purposeful, their faces filled with ease. This was not the Light Shone he remembered.‘Back then, it was different.’It had been just as lively, but the stench of blood clung to the air, and signs of death lurked at every corner. 303 - The True Kingdom
"Is this... alright, My Lord?""Yes. And pretend I was never here. Once we pass through, you won’t see me again. Do you understand? No one must know I was ever here.""Yes! Yes, My Lord!""And... no one else knows I am here, correct?" The hooded figure’s voice sharpened deliberately."N-No! No, My Lord! We... we are departing soon!" The envoy stammered, his body trembling as he hastily retreated to the far corner of the carriage.‘Sigh… How useless.’The hooded man barely spared him another glance. The Brodice Kingdom had neither the power nor the will to resist the Grand Order that had been issued. It had been nearly a decade since the last decree from the Grand Wizards, and that one had shaken the world, announcing the arrival of an immortal alien.‘But this might be the first time in centuries that they had to step in to stop a minor war.’He turned his gaze to the passing scenery outside the carriage window, watching in silence. No one, aside from the envoy and a handful of high-ra
