"That was an okay fight."
Amelia stretched her body with interest. The fight was too slow for her, and the techniques looked Medicare at the best. They had no proper aura and no proper technique. She felt all these cheers to be hollow. Even though she knew this was the very best these people could do, it wasn't exciting to her anymore.
Besides, even the basic warriors of the Crystal Pulse had better techniques and control. Of course, they had no time to reach the level where they could impress her, but Amelia felt those humans had the ability to reach that point in future.
On the other hand, this flashy fight with a combination of moves wasn't enough for her to see a future for those two. Even the winner wouldn't grow beyond the basic level.
She saw a similar uninterested expression from Jason. He was too old to enjoy a duel at this level. As for Hanna, her sole focus was on her snacks and telling stories to her Void Ripper.
"Shall we?"
She felt excited when she thought about going against Jason. He wasn't as strong as her and certainly lacked experience with his age difference. Still, Jason was the oldest living person on Yuriel by his mental age being well over six hundred years.
With the maturity and the will to win, Jason was the only opponent who could take her interest.
‘Except his aura!’
Amelia didn’t like the fact that Jason only used Mana to create his aura. Of course, she knew he couldn’t use aura like her, and his cosmic power came as a wizard. She would love to take on Jason as a wizard, but he couldn’t show his strength to the world.
‘It is good that he can’t use it in front of everyone.’
She never forgot that Jason could truly harm her while she was in this physical form. The last time Jason unleashed his potential was when he awakened his power, and it harmed her energy core.
Which, ultimately led to Jason using his own power to repair her energy core. Amelia never forgot the look she saw on Hanna’s face when she realised she was draining Jason’s energy with no care. In the end, one who truly got hurt was Hanna who thought both she and Jason had hurt each other.
Since then, she had been careful when sparring against Jason.
‘And he really thinks he could harm me, doesn’t he?’
She felt amused when she thought how careful Jason was when they went against each other. Seeing his worried looks and taking his step back at the right moment made her amused. However, she wanted to see what Jason was truly capable of, and there was no better day than today.
“My Lord, My Lady, the stage is set.”
Amelia raised her head when she heard Garth’s words.
She already felt the guards coming closer, and Xanders and Garth taking their positions.
‘I can protect her even when I am in the middle of the arena.’
She had no trouble flattening this entire arena if she wished to do so, yet it was better to have some time to focus on Jason without having to care for their child.
“You have to stay here and be good, okay? You are a brave girl.”
“Hanna is a brave girl, Mommy. Hanna is obedient.”
Her sweet response made Amelia smile, and she held back from kissing Hanna.
Hanna’s father was too soft in raising their child, and she had to act at least a bit strict. Otherwise, Hanna would always get her way.
“Shall we take a walk?”
Amelia patted Hanna’s head before looking at Jason.
Hanna seemed to be getting better with time. She wasn’t avoiding people as she used to do, but she still wanted to be with either her or Jason. It wasn’t a problem for both of them since they always took turns taking care of Hanna. Either way, her innocent smile made Amelia feel satisfied.
They raised their child well, and it wasn’t an easy task to be parents. Still, she felt they did a great job in taking care of a child who had a challenging past.
“A walk?”
Jason, who placed Hanna on the chair, already had his foot on the balcony.
“Yes. Why? Are you in a hurry to get beat up?”
“Ah… No!”
She swallowed her laugh when she saw the look on Jason’s face. It was rare to see his baffled expression, and Amelia knew exactly how to catch him off-guard. It was obvious he wanted to simply jump off and approach the stage. However, Amelia wasn’t in a hurry.
It was rare for them to have an opportunity to chat other than at night when Hanna was asleep.
“Come on. We don’t have all day. Don’t you have awards to give out?”
“Yes.”
Amelia simply passed through Jason’s subordinates who were looking at them.
‘What are you all looking at? I am talking to him.’
She gave them a cold glance before taking the lead.
…
“I am not going to suppress my strength.”
“Huh?”
Amelia smirked when Jason stopped on his trail. He looked a bit shocked and confused by her words.
She heard the sound coming from the outside. Bruce, Jason’s media coordinator announced their entrance to the arena, and she heard the voices slowly dying down. They had enough privacy while they walked down the main seat to the arena through the underground route.
They only assigned several guards to ensure the safety of the contenders and to make sure these long corridors didn’t become completely empty.
“What? Didn’t you think I wouldn’t notice you holding back? You better prepare to use everything you have.”
“I don’t think I can fight with you if you use your full strength.”
“I won’t kill you, so don’t worry.”
Amelia smirked again before taking the lead.
She wanted to laugh when she felt Jason staring at her with a stunned expression. If anyone knew her true strength in her current form, it was Jason. However, Amelia knew she shouldn’t underestimate Jason.
If Jason fought her with intentions to kill, she knew he would have a better chance of doing so. She knew his weird summon considered Void Rippers as food, and she never even heard of a creature named Arcane Spawn.

“Will Daddy come back, Mommy?” “He did promise, didn’t he?” Amelia tightened her hands around Hanna, feeling conflicted about her own words. “Daddy promised to come back to Hanna and Mommy.” Hanna’s voice was firm but refused to take her face off Amelia’s bosom. It was obvious she was sad without Jason, but she acted bravely. “Then he will come back for us.” Amelia again looked at the spot where Jason disappeared. This was the first time the mysterious entity took him away in broad daylight. However, this wasn’t the reason that made her worried, it was the message she saw on Jason’s armband before they took him away. ‘Genetic shackles, isn’t it just a myth?’ The message directly said Jason should find a way to undo his Genetic shackles to successfully advance further. When he asked about the Genetic Shackles, Amelia wondered if he was joking. According to what she knew, Genetic shackles were a concept she only heard in legends. ‘Where is this?’Jason found it odd when he felt the mushy wet feeling surrounding him. He slowly opened his eyes and felt a sense of uneasiness as the blinding light pierced through his eyelid.“Screech….”A loud screech of a soaring predator greeted him as he slowly raised his upper body off the ground. ‘A forest? And why am I like this?’His body looked completely normal, and he found the surrounding environment normal. Unlike previous scenarios, he wasn’t in some devastated and ravaged land. ‘Wow!’Jason’s eyes widened as his senses became clear. ‘Is this a normal forest? What kind of place is this? These animals… They are normal, but there are some species I have never even heard of before.’He felt many things in his surroundings, and what made him feel odd was that everything felt normal to him. There were no abnormalities in his surroundings, except for the several creatures that he found odd. There were foxes with extra tails and birds with vivid coloured feathers. Some i
Wizard Of Cosmos 259 - Mutated Human
“Hm? A human?” The older man looked into the forest. It was an old man working on a stone sculpture. His work was almost complete as he carved a perfect human figure from a boulder. The sculpture looked perfect, almost too perfect to be true. It was an open patch in the forest, and the surroundings had many similar sculptures of different creatures. All the stone sculptures looked at a near-perfect level of detail, and the old man seemed to have carved them over the years. “Doesn’t matter. I will wait for you to be here, anyway.” He turned his attention toward the sculpture, but it was only momentarily. “Is that… Magic?” The older man turned his body toward the direction Jason was coming from. His eyes remained dull as before, and his tone didn’t change. It was as if the man himself had no emotions. However, his movements showed signs of wariness. “Wind and Fire. He is commanding the elements of two domains.” Humans were the only intelligent race that didn’t belong to a part

He felt it was afternoon by the sun's position, but he wasn’t sure about the time.“There are animals, but why do they all look terrified?”The village looked similar to the villages in Yuriel. Actually, it looked similar to Light Shone as the village bordered the forest he came from. The houses were made of wood, clay, and stones, and he didn’t see any modern technologies in the surroundings. He felt this was a world of magic similar to the Yuriel, but he wasn’t keen on finding out while he felt vulnerable. ‘There was no change after that weird incident, but it is better to be careful. The alien humans had a system, and they had something else, something his people lacked—Instant communication. He knew of it. A symbol of true leadership. Those seated around them were not aristocrats, not nobles, but humble-looking men and women dressed in practical, simple clothing. Yet their eyes were sharp, their minds sharper. Each of them radiated competence.‘These aren’t placeholders. These

"What a small place," the hooded figure muttered as he entered the heart of the Brodice Kingdom’s capital. His voice, a slightly older male tone, carried a mix of amusement and disappointment. "And why is their security so bad?" he added, his sharp eyes scanning the bustling streets.Soldiers packed every corner and alley, their inspections meticulous. Even the citizens were forced to pass through layers upon layers of security just to move about. Yet, despite the apparent vigilance, no one noticed him. Draped in a black cloak, the figure walked openly down the middle of the road, his presence going entirely undetected."Well... they have to be careful. That bounty is indeed tempting," he muttered to himself, a sly grin creeping across his hidden face. "Ah, I wish I were as young as I was back then. She had a few healing potions tucked away in her pack, but she knew she couldn’t waste them. Supplies were limited, and every soldier had been issued a fixed amount by Crystal Pulse. 'His mutation is changing. Or... should I say improving?' Amelia observed Jason closely as the changes in his body unfolded with each passing second. The starry night-like texture on his left side began to expand subtly toward the right, slowly overtaking the black, armour-like skin. However, the transformation seemed restrained, as though the artefact lacked the power to fully support Jason's demand. The process lasted nearly an hour before the dagger, once brimming with ominous energy, dulled completely, its power entirely drained.Jason’s body underwent slight changes—a small part of his pitch-black armour faded, replaced by the cosmic texture of the starry night. Finally, he opened his eyes, feeling a rare sense of relief. The artifact's mutation had been neutralised; it would no longer corrupt anyone or anything. For the first time in a long while, he felt as though a small part of his burden had been lifted.“Well... you can’t go out like that!” Amelia’s voice pulled him from his
