‘The forum is about to explode. Again. I guess Jason’s name itself is enough to make it happen almost every day.’

Roger looked at the man, who seemed to be oblivious to all this.

Yesterday’s events had too many witnesses, and he had a feeling that the players would turn on the recording the moment they saw Jason. Because there were so many videos of the event.

Bruce, who was sitting not far from him, especially went around collecting all the recordings he could to create the best video possible. They broadcast it on Sky News as a small movie with all the events from when they started moving from Forestedge.

There were even videos that showed the interaction between Hanna and Jason, which seemed to be trending through the internet. Some people, however, argued that Jason was taking a game too seriously. After all, Hanna was ultimately an NPC.

However, what exploded the player community of The Endless was the blandness of the other continents and regions compared to Forestedge.

‘I don’t know what to do.’

Compared to the online community, Aegis had a completely unique reaction. They started reassessing their plan to use Light Shone as their base.

Mr Scott promised to reach Light Shone within a week. He did not know why their board of directors looked so serious, to the point where they had to watch this meeting with the village head through a live-stream.

‘There is a problem with those people, too.’

Dane and the others he found suspicious had very sensitive identities. They belonged to the US government, which he had no power to clash with. However, they were still far from getting familiar with Jason.

‘Government? Seriously? Just because he became a celebrity? Are they trying to influence him or protect him even inside the game?’

If he wasn’t a member of Aegis, he wouldn’t have learned this. He couldn’t even reveal this piece of information to Logan. It was simply too much.

He looked around the room to capture a better view. There was Logan and the people from the Synccrop, Bruce, and Jason. Other than Amelia, there was Hanna, who caught Jason’s full attention.

She was happily playing with the dolls Jason bought for her, sitting between Amelia and Jason.

‘She is so powerful. I would not even sit here if this wasn’t a game.’

He felt Amelia was a walking nuke.

“Ehem….”

Finally, the host of the meeting, Xanders, cleared his throat to gain attention.

“Well… Since everyone's here. We should discuss what to do.”

“Good! I have to go and meet Master Merlin.”

Jason took his eyes off Hanna and focused on the meeting.

“Bruce! Don’t make the content of this meeting public. There might be some important information.”

“Sure, Jason.”

Bruce had no complaints about this. He had enough content to gain attention. Like the videos of preparations, they had before attacking the bandits, and the settling of people they brought to Light Shone.

The events around Jason’s actions had turned into a mini-series on Sky News. People actually wanted to know about the destiny of those rescued prisoners and the bandits who followed Jason. There was an enormous fan base for Hanna, and Amelia’s charm had caught many eyes.

‘It would have been great if her face didn’t have that slight scar. I wonder if there is a magic that can heal it.’

His eyes darted to the fading scar on Amelia’s cheek.

“Well… We need to discuss expanding the village. There are too many people to settle. We don’t have enough houses, and the village is too small.”

He was just a leader of a small declining village. This place wasn’t what it used to be ten years ago. Once, Light Shone had been at the gate to the Dark Forest for the adventurers. However, after it declined, people moved away from this village. After seeing the poor state his village was in, he returned to Light Shone.

He protected the village, hoping things would eventually get better. However, he didn’t have any capable people with him, and he saw no hope until Jason came.

A young man with ambition and capability. Their first agreement reached a point that he didn’t even think of.

“Sigh. The first step is to clear the old land closest to the village and prepare a wall. We can build a small set of houses in that area. Do we have anyone good with architecture?”

Jason looked around at the others. He had zero ideas about these developments.

“I can look, Jason.”

Roger knew they only sent soldiers to the game, but he promised to try.

“We can look for one too, Jason.”

Dawn wanted to bring her own people before Aegis.

“We can wait for someone with skill before starting that, Mr Xanders.”

Jason nodded to the responses.

“The problem will be to sustain the people until then. What about settling the women and children?”

He focused on Dawn. Those were the most fragile group of people they had.

“We settled them in a couple of houses, Jason. But some of them are still scared. Some of them might need medical attention soon.”

“I see….”

Jason pondered about what he could do.

“Hey, I am supposed to ask questions.”

Xanders felt like they left him out. After all, this was his village.

“Huh? Oh. I agree. Go on.”

Jason realised he was intruding on Xanders’s place. Honestly, he just wanted to finish it quickly.

“Ah….”

Xanders suddenly felt speechless. He realised he had nothing to say.

There was nothing he knew about these alien humans, and they had various talents gathered together. As for him, if he didn’t go through his old organisation, he had no way to gather people. Light Shone actually didn’t have many skilled people left.

“Well… You can continue.”

He had nothing to add.

“Hm! What can we do to gather skills?”

Jason didn’t argue with Xanders on this matter.

The reason for him to gain this fame was to gather skilled players.

“About that… Jason, I have an idea.”

Bruce, who was always the side character, actually thought about this yesterday.

“How about we promote quests and missions?”

“Quests and missions?”

Jason pondered for a second as he looked at Amelia. However, she had a look in her eyes that said, ‘Don’t look at me.’

“So, you are talking about creating a group of missions on our own? That is a great idea.”

His eyes brightened in a moment. This was a great way to find skills and expand the village at the same time.

“We can create missions for our people. They are not afraid to die, and they are here looking for such things. This way we can use them and get your goal fulfilled, Mr Xanders. I am just wondering how to announce these?”

Jason explained the details to Xanders, wondering if the forum was the most effective way.

“That is a great idea, Jason. We can use a point system. Like giving points for their work, and base the rewards on the number of points.”

Logan felt enlightened.

“Yes, I think an external website would do. We can use it to arrange the missions and use the forum to promote.”

Dawn was wondering about the rehabilitation of the victims they rescued. This could be done using missions. As long as it was Jason’s request, Mother Superior would consider it a priority.

Even after witnessing yesterday's showdown between Amelia and Xanders, Mother Superior considered Jason a priority.

‘Mother superior is right. She knows better than me.’

Amelia showed no interest in the matter, even if she was here. Xanders seemed to be lost with what to do. In the end, it was Jason who made the decision. As for the wizard named Merlin, he was nowhere to be found.

“Hold on, what are the rewards you are talking about?”

Xanders frowned.

“Well… How about combat lessons? Some food and other necessities. Weapons, maybe… some other items….’

Roger considered the things they could gain through this.

“Hm… That can be done. We can do that and give some lessons as well….”

Jason again eyed Amelia.

“What? Why are you looking at me? You can teach them the sword.”

She simply raised her brow.

“But… Aren’t you better than me?”

“Hm? I can do it, but not for free. I will give some lessons when I train them.”

Amelia nodded her head at Logan and Dawn.

“Of course, we should also calculate points for assets we brought.”

Jason agreed to her words.

“Should we give rations to players?”

“How about five days?”

“Then we have to register them….”

“We need management. People with accounting and similar skills. This one is urgent.”

Jason raised his voice after listening to all the suggestions coming from everyone. They had to assign points, calculate, set up and all, but none of them was at that level.

“Does any of you know someone who can reach Light Shone within the next couple of days?”

“This….”

Roger had Mr Scott and some of their people coming, but they weren’t what Jason wanted.

“We….”

Dawn looked at her sisters, who looked equally troubled. Even if they could find someone from the real world and bring them to The Endless, how could they control their spawn point?

“Sigh….”

Jason felt troubled for a moment before looking at his armband.

Dane and his people were following him, and Jason didn’t miss the number of players that seemed to be associated with Dane and Iris.

He wondered if he should use them.

“Let’s give this a try….”

“Eh… Jason…?”

Dane casually entered the house Jason invited him to, but then he froze.

He didn’t think he would see these people here. The two Grandmasters that made him shiver were sitting inside the house.

Unlike these oblivious players, he knew these were real people, and their power was true.

‘Damn it, we knew nothing like this….’

The information they got from the World Builders looked like a hoax when he personally witnessed the power of the Grandmasters. The surprise he saw on Chief Magnus’s face told him everything. They weren’t ready for a world like this.

“Dane. I am looking for people who can do accounting and management.”

“Jason?”

He still could not get his head around the situation. These were actually powerful aliens in front of him.

“Players. I need players who can do that. Can you find them?”

“I….”

Dane was at a loss.

‘Damn it….’

He cursed in frustration, but Jason was their priority target for protection.

“I can get you two people within two days, Jason.”

“Two days?”

“Yes. I will have them here for you.”

They still had some quota left with the World Builders. He had to fulfil Jason’s demands as long as they were within boundaries. It was also good to get their people inside. After all, they took a gamble by protecting Jason like this.

Chief Magnus was betting their and their country's future on Jason’s success.

“Great.”

Jason nodded his head in satisfaction.

“Great idea, Bruce.”

He patted Bruce’s shoulder.

‘Ah… That is not what I meant….’

Bruce watched the entire discussion in a daze. What he meant was giving some clues about quests related to the Will of God and the war Jason was talking about. He thought that would easily attract players to Light Shone.

The discussion went completely astray, and he had no idea how it turned into them developing missions for players.

“We are going to need your help in promoting these missions.”

“Ah… Yes, Jason. I actually have an idea for that.”

He was wondering how he should invite Jason to a live program. This might be the opening he was looking for.
