Chapter 57

“That was great!” Alpha Jon clapped, knocking me out of my stupor. “Is that one way you train your wolves in combat back in America?” His question threw me off and I exchanged glances with Draugluin , neither of us saying a word. “Hurry and get dressed,” Alpha Jon urged, “we have a big day ahead of us.”

“Big day?” I was puzzled. I thought we’d just had dinner only hours earlier and I didn’t remember falling asleep.

“Yes,” Julianna pushed up her glasses, “It’s midnight, the start of a new day.”

“Does that mean at noon the days over with and I can roll around in boredom all over again,” I questioned. My sarcastic enthusiasm was returned with a sneer from the perfectly put-together woman. Julianna seemed to have gotten over the fact that Draugluin was more powerful than her, no longer nervous. I have to say a frightened Julianna is not as fun as a stuck-up, haughty one so I wasn't complaining.
