67. A Comforter

It's been over two weeks since Leonard resumed school and Elsie began living with them and within those two weeks, he and Elsie had grown much closer than how they were before which was a good thing to Leonard. The people responsible for the bank shooting hadn't been found and Leonard made a promise to himself that he would look for clues that could help him get the thieves.

On an evening on a rainy Friday, over a candlelit dinner at their favorite Italian restaurant, Elsie's voice trembled slightly as she told Leonard about her growing suspicions. They sat across from each other, the soft glow of the flickering candle casting shadows on their faces and even from where he sat, Leonard could see how worried she was and he hated this for her, hated to see her this way.
