Kinanti, like Patrick, looked down, as if she was hiding something. Zach was aware of his mother's feelings of guilt.

"What's the matter, Mom?"

Kinanti simply shook her head, making no sound. She only bit her bottom lip.

"Because we are in the same situation as the residents of the simulation floor," Patrick explained after another sigh.

Patrick's statement astounded everyone. They were silent for a while.

"What exactly do you mean? We've never encountered the Lord of Darkness." Greg shook his head, stunned.

"Right, that's impossible," Erica mumbled.

"Take a look, Pat!" Hans made a clapping motion with his hands. "We are more than just souls!"

"Yes, that's correct. Pat, maybe you're getting old." Another person stated.

"The king of darkness managed to take us before we could hide. Only Kinanti and I were still awake at the time."
