Chapter 35: My Fate

Lukas and Kirsten had finished the procedures long ago and waited for a couple of hours.

Soon, a white jade urn was delivered to them.

Kirsten took it and the two went out.

As soon as they left the hospital, Kirsten and Lukas heard a commotion not far away from the hospital.

Kirsten's face darkened, while Lukas couldn't help but chuckle.

"They are too shameless, it's really disgusting..." She couldn't help but utter, tears rolled out of her eyes: "This is the last day I'll look at them as my relatives."

Lukas wiped her tears and smiled: "Sometimes, cutting off ties is the best path one can take, after all, not everyone is your friend nor your enemy."

Kirsten nodded her, she then looked at Lukas: "You sound like you've cut lots of people?"

Lukas smiled: "You know, I was in a state of my life... where I thought I had no more path... but since you're seeing me here, I guess it wasn't really that much, huh?"
