"Oh right, how many level 999 adventurers are there in total?"

Garun pondered for a bit: "Well, master, there are a lot of differences between level 999 adventurers."

Garun then continued: "One, if you have certain skills, you will need to level them up, there are quite a few unique skills in this world that don't require leveling, but that doesn't mean much compared to those that you've leveled to the peak."

"A great example of that is, a peak divine ranked skill being used by a level 300 adventurer can definitely kill a level 999 adventurer who isn't proficient enough and has little to no skills available for defending such attacks."

"So, in terms of being an expert adventurer, there are only a few dozen of them in this world. Those that are about to reach the limit of their potential."
