66: I pity your woman
As Irene looked visibly surprised by Clara's words, Henry couldn't help but feel a pang of embarrassment. A flush creeped up his neck and inside, his mind whirled with embarrassment and anger.

He became aware that the wealthy customers dining around them had overheard all the insults hurled at him.

Although they laughed briefly, they soon returned to their own conversations, focusing on their meals. However, Henry caught snippets of their whispered remarks about him.

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the two wealthy businessmen watching with poorly concealed amusement.

"Then what the fuck is he doing in this expensive restaurant?" one said with a sneer. "Just to impress his girl?" He took a sip of his exorbitantly expensive red wine, which cost around five hundred thousand dollars.

His companion laughed uproariously. "Didn't you see their meal? Even my dog's dinner is more expensive than theirs. What a cheap man!" The other chimed in, and they burst into a round of laughter.
