We sat there all day. We even refused to go outside for some fresh air. But we had a visitor. But only to tell us that we will be locked until we are punished for causing the damage we did. And that they will get our money.
We didn’t argue. We just allowed the man to tell us whatever he was sent to tell us. But they also seemed to not know that the father of the woman they were talking about was the most feared lord all over the planets.
We allowed that to slide as well. We have other things we need to attend to. But I was relieved because he mentioned nothing about the infinite stone of mischief. Which means they touched nothing that belongs to us.
The food they brought us just sat there ever since they brought it. We just carried on formulating a plan to leave the place because Maggie was able to sense her people. They were near, and we needed to hurry the hell up.
But Talon was already working on something with the forks he got from our food. I wonder why they even thought it best to bring us forks. They should have known better. But maybe they trusted their guards more.
We all waited for him to finish with whatever he was doing. I wonder how he managed to keep the things he was using to get what he was making to work.
Maybe I needed him on my team. I was thinking about finding friends and God just blesses me with them. Fate. Ask and you will be given.
He walked to us with a tiny, weird looking thing. But it was glowing at the center of the forks. It looked like a stuff. Only that it was small. About the size on my middle finger. But thicker.
“We can use this to unlock the locks.” He pointed at me and then zapped it at the bar that held the bed together. It froze and with just one kick it shattered to nothingness.
We all looked at him. Impressed. But Twelve been friends with Talon, he bowed his head at the man. Applauding the man for yet another work.
“But how will we get past the guards? They are like hundreds and more of them,” I asked as I walked to see if anyone was eavesdropping.
“Was that not supposed to be you and your girlfriend here? I do this and then you figure out something. Twelve will find your ship. You do have one, right?”
“Yes, I do. And she is not my girlfriend. She nearly killed me, man,” I scolded.
“We can beat only as much. By we need something that will work even better for us. As he is getting the ship, we find a way out of this place,” she spoke.
There was silence for a few heartbeats, then Talon spoke with a sigh. “You can get me to the control room. I will be able to lock down some of them to buy us time. And I can come up with something that will help us.”
“What is that something, Talon?” I asked.
“You don’t need to know everything, human. Just know I will find something and get me to the control room. She will try what she will try in the meantime,” he spoke.
“Well, this is fun,” Twelve spoke and silence broke in again. But this time, it took longer to vanish.
My mind again went back to trusting them. If I was making the best decision to allow them to work with me to find the infinite stones. As I said earlier, they all have potentials off killing me or betraying me.
But was I just going to hold on to the hope that they are good? That they will work with me because of what they just told me?
It all made sense. I mean, I didn’t even know it was Xenda’s game I was playing all these years I have been leaving. All because he wanted to get the stones.
He failed to get them himself and decided to use us. I wonder if they all know what they have stumbled into. Well, not all play the game. But once you are in, you can never leave. Until death do you apart.
I looked at the thing Talon made. It was impressive. It worked on the leg of the bed and that means it can work with anything metal related. Locks, for example.
Then I just burnished the thought that hooved in my head. Betraying them will not help me in this case. They know I have the stone and they know of its value.
I’m just hoping they turn out to be better for me. I just hope they help me get the stones and we go on leaving our lives. But that is if we all have to survive what Xenda will do to us once he finds out we a looking for the infinite stones and that his daughter was working with me now.
The man will flip and I need to be ready for that. By first we need to leave this place before his people reach the place.
“Guys, we need to leave. They are just a few planets from here,” she spoke.
“But we can’t just go now. The guards are all here. At least they sleep or something. That is the only way. Other wise we are as good as dead,” I suggested as got up from the floor.
“We are dead if we stay here. We need to leave. I will distract the guards and keep them busy until you reach the control room. Twelve, you need to find the ship as soon as possible and meet us at the gate,” Twelve nodded to her.
“You can’t take on all the guards alone,” I suggested.
She walked to me and stopped about three feet from me. “Dealing, you have no idea whatever’s possible,” she smirked and looked back at Talon.
As I said. They might be my death or happy life. Because she is crazy and the cat is even more crazy.
We finally to put our plan into motion after Maggie nearly had a nervous breakdown after realizing her people were only about three planets away.Talon was ready to do his computer things. And Twelve was also ready to go and get my ship wherever they put it. But that was for him to figure out. I was good with my part of the plan.Make sure Talon reaches the control room and then we can bust our asses out of this godforsaken place. Not to forget Maggie will keep the guards distracted by whatever she will come up with. All I was hoping for was for the plan to work. Or will die. Well, I needed to only make sure I survive what was coming our way. Look after me.But I also didn’t want them to die. I still have doubts about trusting them into helping me find the infinite stones. Not my idea, but it seemed pretty fear. Hence, I needed them all live because they all have their special skills.Mostly Talon. He is a cat and yet he can do wonders. What he did with the forks was impressive enough
We all pointed our guns at each other. The lord of my planet looking at me with angry eyes. Rage burning in them.I couldn’t kill her. Shooting her would invite war. They would all want to kill me for that. And I don’t need the whole planet on my back chasing the leaving hell out of me.The infinite stones were enough to worry about. I don’t need that on my back at the moment. I risked a glance as Talon and he silently told me we need to hurry the hell up before we all die here.“Drop your weapons,” she spoke. She was the goddess of beauty on the planet. No wonder they made her the lord of the planet. With a slim, perfect body that would have every man running after her or looking as she passes by.“Try anything and we will kill you. I know you think you are clever. You have escaped every time we have something on you. Or that idiot has kept you out of trouble because deep down, he thinks you are his son. But what you did today was enough to have us lock you up,” she spoke with a grin
I took my pouched that contained the infinite stone. And looking inside, it was there. Talon took his things and that of Twelve and I just got things for me and Maggie. Then we rushed outside. Running to the door as fast as we could. The guards were not much now. The drones did an amazing job at that, and the prisoners came in hands.Overall, our work was reduced. Finally, we reached the gate and with just one touch at the screen that hovered in the air, Talon opened the gate and we found them waiting outside on my ship.“You are safe, my beautiful Ive. They didn’t touch, did they?” I spoke as I entered my ship. They all just looked at me. Questionably. But there was nothing to be surprised about this. People name their things all the time.“Let’s just go before they come here,” I spoke and went to sit at the drivers sit.“I will not allow you to drive us. I will take the lead. You just follow. You failed to operate things inside there until I came in,” Talon spoke and sat on the othe
I drove my space ship to my destination. Telling the rest to be careful once I leave. To keep the spaceship in invisible mode. Not until I get back. But Talon has already left to do what he was supposed to do to keep both him and Twelve safe. And I was going to free the boy if I needed to survive what Xenda might send my way. Because I just started a war with him. Getting myself involved because I might have feelings for his daughter and because I might just want to save the world at large.I got up, and she took over. Then I put on my armour and helmet. Then walked to the door as she landed the ship in a dust place. It looked like a desert. No sign of water or anything apart from sand. I wonder how I always end up in such places. Stupid planets.I looked at Twelve who I noticed was looking at me. Worried. Was this how he was programmed? To be all nice to anyone he meets. Because we just met and he was acting as if we have known each other for some time now.Was that what Talon just t
I slid on the steel floor as I dodged his sword to finish me off. Well, my dagger, actually. At some point in our fight, the damn bastard took my dagger and was now using it against its master. How ironic. And after I failed to decapitate him, he was more pissed that I even tried to do that to him. I only managed to injure him on the neck, enough to make some blood splash. He then kicked me before I got up from the floor and do what I actually wanted to do. I went flipping on the floor, then stopped about a few paces away.He came running in my way before I could even shake off what happened. Then he spit some blue thing at me, I sidestepped, and it missed me. But the steel wall where the blue spit hit melted.I looked at him, and his eyes were burning with fire. Shit. I was doomed. So, I did the dumbest thing ever. I went running to him. Shooting at him just to keep him busy. But he was using his blue things to keep himself safe and also to distract me.I dodged and ducked, but that
I was trying to make sense of what Talon just told me. We left the ship there to be guarded by Twelve. So, how the hell did it vanish from where I left it? Looked at Talon as he looked at our surroundings, Twelve was his friend, so if Twelve really took the ship, then he would know. And if was a planned thing to dupe me and Maggie, then he would be here to rescue me. So, maybe Twelve didn’t take the ship. But if not him, who did it? How often do you meet people and they act all good to just stab the crap out of you behind your back? After all she was the daughter of the man that wanted to rule all the galaxies. But again, for what I witnessed and saw, she might be telling the truth about hurting her father because of her mother’s death. But there was no assurance to that. So, I couldn’t count on it.“We need to leave,” he spoke looking at me as I caught my breath. Making sure my weapons were intact. Because we might just run into anyone here. They were all alarmed now and knew we were
After they outmaneuvered all our moves, the Destroyer took us in some kind of opening. That looked to be our execution place. Because I saw a number of bones and they were some kind of table in front of us that seemed to be containing blood. All the people of the planet were here to watch. They all sat around us, screaming for us to be eliminated, that we destroyed their house or something like that. That we don’t deserve to breathe the same air as they did.The boy pulled my shirt that now contained nothing but gut from the ones I killed and the people they killed right in front of my eyes. And they even destroyed it in some parts of it.“I thought you had this figured out. How the hell do you come rescuing someone without a proper escape plan? Mother should have chosen better,” he spoke. If it wasn’t for his mother wanting him well and alive, I could have beaten him or made sure he would never open up until we reach his home.Yes, some of his words were true, we should have thought
Went flying and flipping in the air as the damn creature beat the crappy out of me. Then only stopped upon impact with the boundary of the ring. Before I could even do anything, it stretched some kind of vines and wrapped my body into it, then it swung me in circles for a couple of times before letting me go and I went sliding on the ground, only stopping when I stabbed my daggers on the ground.Swiftly stood up with straggle and spit a mouth full of sand that I might have gotten at some point. I looked up, and the king was enjoying this. He was actually talking to Talon, I’m sure telling him I was screwing up and that he will be saying bye to this fine air.Sidestepped as he sent some green slime at me and then went running its way, zig and zagged as much as I could to prevent any of its attacks to affect me in any way. Then slid to the ground and sliced off its legs. As it screamed, I stabbed my daggers in its thighs, allowing it to scream even more.I took two steps back and looked
