The next day which was the 24th of march 2020, the Biller's manor was buzzing with servants moving left and right, decorating and preparing for today's event.
The Biller family would host a party to welcome Mr Charles Biller from the hospital and for his safe and quick recovery. It's was 06:15 AM but everybody was wide awake doing one thing or the other except for a certain oblivious someone. In the servant quarters, a stone throw away from the manor, a certain someone was still fast asleep, not knowing of today's event and how busy everyone was.A female servant who was assigned to clean the servant quarters today was doing her job obediently but when she got to the male room, she noticed someone was still lying on their bed.She frowned a bit and walked up to the person, she tapped lightly on his shoulder but the person wouldn't move an inch. She leaned a bit towards him and noticed he was the new male servant that was appointed just yesterday."If he keeps slacking off in this manner, he could loose his job." She whispered to herself a little worried for this newcomer and as she stared at his sleeping face, she then noticed how handsome he was.It made her wonder why someone like him would be here. He was way too good-looking to be working here as a servant. She proceeded to lift her hands to touch his face when..."Olivia!" Her name was screamed by Madam Maeve, the head of the servants.Olivia became so startled that she straighten up her back immediately before Madam Maeve stepped into the room, looking as grumpy and scary as ever."What are you doing slacking off, get this done and quickly come to the kitchen, there's so much that needs to be done." Madam Maeve ordered and was going to step out when she noticed a silhouette on the bed."Who's that?" She asked no one in particular as she squinted her eyes in the direction of the bed."He is new..." Olivia trailed, hoping this young man wouldn't be punished for sleeping during work hours."New?" Madam Maeve asked and walked towards him, she frowned down at him with her mouth pursed and Olivia knew that look from Madam Maeve was not a good sign. And after staring at him for a few seconds, Madam Maeve left and walked into the bathroom.Seeing this, Olivia quickly walked closer to the young man to wake him up because she knew what Madam Maeve was going to do if she walked out of the bathroom. She tapped and shook him vigorously but the young man was nowhere near waking up.Hearing Madam Maeve's footsteps, Olivia quickly stepped away from the young man's bed. She silently sighed as she watched Madam Maeve empty the bowl of cold water on the young man.And that followed with a loud gasp and coughing as the young man quickly stood up from the bed.He looked really shocked and shaken by what he just went through.Xavier wiped the water from his face as he tried to understand what just happened. With an unending gasp, he tried to catch his breath, he looked around the unfamiliar room he was in and then his eyes caught sight of two big gowns. That meant two women on big gowns were inside the room with him.He quickly lifted his head up to meet two stares coming from two different women. One that looked younger was staring at him with concern in her brown eyes while the other older woman was staring daggers at him with the anger of a wild boar.Who were they? And what was he doing in this unfamiliar place? Xavier questioned in his head as he looked at the messy room with different bunk beds that showed people stayed here. And then out of nowhere, his head began to ache uncontrollably. Making him groan while placing his hand on his head, trying to ease the ache. While Olivia was feeling sorry for him, the same could not be told about Madam Maeve."Have anything to say?" The older woman asked Xavier and he noticed how her voice sounded like a snoring wild boar..."Huh?" He asked as a response, seeming lost and confused as to why he was here. And at the same time tried to calm his aching head."Why..." He proceeded to ask only to be interrupted by the harsh slamming of the bowl on his head.Madam Maeve slammed his head with the bowl so hard that Xavier wouldn't stop groaning. What she hated the most was lazy servants and not to mention, he was new. He wouldn't even last here a week before he would be trashed away. Madam Maeve was very sure of that.Seeing the situation, Olivia decided to help by speaking up to the young man, "It's working hour and you shouldn't be here sleeping when...""And what are you here doing? Shouldn't you be working?" Madam Maeve interrupted, she asked with her hands akimbo and her attention now on Olivia.Olivia nervously smiled and quickly left the room, feeling sorry for the young man."And you!" She then face Xavier and pointed at him, almost poking his eyes."Huh?" Xavier looked up at her, a deep frown on his face, his hands still on his head."Follow me and not another word from you." She ordered and proceeded to leave the room.Left with no choice, Xavier followed her, still lost and very confused. They left the servant quarters and into the the main house, Madam Maeve was headed somewhere but Xavier wasn't bothered where she was taking him to because right now, he was simply admiring the interior of the house. And he was oblivious of the stares he was garnering from the other servants."Who is he? He's so handsome," A female servant who stood by the kitchen door with Olivia and two other girls beside her asked as she couldn't take her eyes off him."Handsome, right but a servant? That's a huge turn off for me." Another female servant responded, causing the others to stare at her and she shrugged in response.Madam Maeve was still walking with Xavier right behind her, he drank in the sight of every luxurious things around the house.'How much hard work did it take to achieve this? This is probably inherited, that's right.' He thought to himself, wishing this was something he could own. But who was he kidding?"Move faster, no time to slack." Madam Maeve spoke up, this time increasing her footsteps. What's the rush? Xavier wondered but he too had to increase his steps to match Madam Maeve's.And finally they got to the east side of the house and after passing arrays of doors, they stood before one and Madam Maeve knocked and they both stepped in after receiving approvals.A/N: Thank you for reading this far. I hope this book is to your liking. This is my first time writing a male lead story and I'm a bit skeptical about this. But I can only move forward with your reassurance that I'm doing just fine.Right after Madam Maeve knocked, she opened the and stepped. A confused Xavier had to follow suit but not after thinking for a second. But the moment he stepped in after Madam Maeve, his senses was first assaulted with the luxurious smell of lavender, followed by the magnificent view of the spacious bedroom and then the soft sound of music coming from the stereo. He was awed at how a place could feel like heaven but that didn't last for a minute because his fantastical thought vanished the moment he recognized everyone in the room, even though he couldn't see their faces and didn't make eye contact with them. The awe and admiration disappeared from Xavier's face immediately after he recognized the people in the room.'These lunatics of a family...' he cursed and was about to voice out the thought he had kept deep in his heart, waiting for the right day to voice it out. However, Xavier was quick to remember who he really was, a pathetic weak loser that could never fight or stand up for
No amount of words could explain how Xavier felt as he stepped out of that hell of a room he had thought was heaven. But one thing's for sure, what he was currently feeling was nothing near pleasant or a good feeling. He felt the most horrible way ever and the only thing he wanted to do was just disappear from this world and never to be seen, that way, his sufferings would end.Yes, that's right, he would disappear from this cruel world and never to be seen again. Living this life was not worth it.He walked around the huge mansion looking for the exit and not being aware of how he was catching so much attention. With anger, rage, pain, regret and so many other emotions blurring half his eye sight, he finally found the exit out of this shitty hell hole and he left the house through the front door. Now all that was left was to finally leave the premises and then look for what proper way to die and leave this world.Xavier was walking, not knowing where he was now but he knew he was hea
It took Xavier almost a week to recover from all the injuries he had sustained from the dog bites and to his surprise, the Biller family were sending doctors to him every once in a while to check up on him. Xavier refused to see any kind intentions behind that.To him, they were just treating his dog bites just so he would be healthy enough to work for them. There was no way the Biller family could be so kind to just treat him, there's got to be a reason and Xavier was sure it was for their own personal benefit and nothing else. And of course, Blair wouldn't stop pestering him to the extent where he became uncomfortable around her. Through out his days of recovering, she would constantly visit, behaving weird and asking him questions that made him almost freak out. She was another bunch of trouble to him and he wanted to avoid her at all cost.Today was Friday, the last day of the week days before the weekend and today was also the very first day of Xavier working for the Billers and
A personal driver? Was this good news or bad news? Xavier wondered to himself while trying to digest this piece of information.Maybe this was good news after all. Being a driver was way better than being a lowly male servant. At least he wouldn't have to clean or serve. Neither would he get to face this annoying family all the time. But it seems someone was against this."What is the meaning of this? What do you mean by personal driver? Do you realize you are giving him a promotion when he hasn't even started working? For someone like him to be promoted to the position of a personal driver, he has to work for it. Don't be ridiculous." Preston ranted as he pointed out, it was clear he was against this sudden promotion, as he'd deemed it."You talk too much and I wasn't asking for your opinion neither do I need your permission. And this is not your father's company where you can control almost everything." Blair fired, not backing down as she stared at Preston's bloodshot with a rather
By the time Xavier drove to the club Blair had directed him to, dusk was already fast approaching and soon night would fall.Though his body and mind were exhausted, he needed to get rid of the exhaustion and stay active for the whole time the ladies would stay clubbing. He found a good spot in the parking lot and parked the car. Without saying a word, he patiently waited for the ladies to step down and he would have the car to himself and would use the opportunity to take a quick nap.Xavier looked at Blair through the rearview mirror and could see the happy smile on her face as she tilted her head to the side to look at the club's entrance through the car's window. She looked super excited as if she had not been to the club for ages. Like a child who had finally gotten the candy, he had so much wanted.Blair could hear the booming sound of music coming from the club and happiness bubbled inside her and it could explode at any time, she just couldn't wait. She turned towards her frien
Xavier in his slightly tipsy state of mind followed the strange man who had Blair in his grasp, he tried as much as he could to meet up but the strange man was still faster. After a while, Xavier saw the man enter a room and his senses were heightened. With a deep frown on his eyebrows, he wondered what the man was up to.Were his intentions pure? Or does he plan to do something bad to Blair?Though Xavier knew he was just a driver and not a guard but Blair was handed over to him, if anything bad happened to her, he would be held accountable for it.Due to how far they've gone, the music from the club had died down and as Xavier looked to his side, passing by many arrays of doors, he wondered if this place was attached to the bar.He soon reached the door he had seen the man enter with Blair in his arms, the door was slightly open. Though it was dim and barely lit, Xavier could see inside the room was pitch dark. And without wasting further time, he pushed the door open and walked in.
Making sure not to wake up Blair, he stood up from the bed completely naked, a frustrated sigh escaped his mouth as he took in the sight of the bedroom and the state he was in.The room was littered with their clothes all around. With a swift movement, Xavier put on his clothes and would leave the room to behave like nothing ever happened. After making sure he looked normal and nothing was out of place, he walked towards the door and just when he was about to open it, the door was forcefully pushed from outside and it almost slammed his face.Xavier stood there like a statue, his eyes wide from shock. His lips moved but no words came out of his mouth.Standing outside the door was Preston, Mrs Edna and three other men and from the look on their faces, Xavier knew they must have found out what happened. Though he wondered how now wasn't the time to worry about how they found out.Preston was the first to step in and Mrs Edna followed right behind him.The moment Preston saw who lay on
SLAP! SLAP!! The sound of a palm landing heavily on Xavier's cheek resonated the whole coffee shop from the counter table, the slap was loud enough to catch the attention of customers who sat around inside the shop. "You fool! You are nothing but a piece of sh*t! How many times have I told you to be attentive to the orders of the customers?" A short potbellied man spat in rage as he vented on Xavier who stood before him behind the counter table. Murmurs and whispers filled the place as the customers witnessed the scene unfold before them. And amidst the the murmurs and whispers of disapproval towards Xavier, the pit-pat sound of the heavy rain hitting relentlessly on the roof of the spacious coffee shop filled the whole place. Now was the time Xavier was supposed to make a coffee delivery, but it was still raining and pouring heavily. He had purposely delayed in the hopes that the rain would stop soon but it didn't, if anything, it only got heavier. And that one decision of del
