The human list

In the evening, Huang sitting in the corridor of their family shop heard some rumors.

The discussions were all focused on the issue of branch sect selection. The more Huang listened the more confused he become.

At the City sect branches apparently, all disciples could only reach the heavenly realm.

The genius disciples would be at the peak of heaven level before taking on main sect exams.

Apparently, in all sections of the sect, some rankings were assigned. The information circulating was more believable due to having been received from some disciples already in the sect branch in the city.

Huang views it as an opportunity to grab important data on the branch sects.

The situation is similar to his current world's campus studying as students could be required to stay on campus.

The situation in the sect is slightly different as the requirement is a must and only those that met certain requirements could be able to leave.

The task can also provide opportunities to disciples other than improving in the realm. For him, this situation could be deemed as a small matter.

Considering his parents had another child to raise he did not have to worry about them missing him for the time being.

Knowing more about the place he might have to stay for the next years was indeed very necessary.

"All this rumor seems to indicate the situation in the sect branches is not as simple as it appears on the surface. There even exist three levels human, earth and heaven martial artist division." he was beginning to get more excited as he got in contact with practice knowledge.

The thing he was more interested in was the library of the sect branch. He was sure the information there could enhance his information.

He needed it more than anything else, after all without proper information he could not be sure how to act or handle himself.

He even just heard rumors about the existence of some demons and wanted to get information about it too. Listening to everyone talk about the rankings in the sect branch he become more interested.

In a certain restaurant, a family was gathered together observing some kind of list.

"Is this the human list, all of the ones ranked top twenty are said to be geniuses? Half of them are already the students that have entered the academy a few years back."

"Look at number 18 I heard rumors he has not yet joined the academy. Being on the ranking is indeed an indication of his talent. Most of the individuals on the list have higher chances of getting on the earth or even heaven list in the future."

The one that spoke was a parent and the intention of this was to tell the kids to make friends with those on the list.

In another corner, some parents just browsed the list and lost interest. To them, their child had already entered the earth level.

In the batch of new students entering the academy, he might even be treated as a genius.

The more discussions being held about the list and even in the corridor of the ship Huang could hear them.

Surprisingly he also heard of the so-called human list, and he was also sure he had stepped into the human level but not for long.

The human list was also something that was being advertised even in the cities, it however did give him less motivation.

As far as he could see the list might not be very accurate.

The number of people on the list was only twenty and the new ones had yet to be tested in combat.

The good thing was the lists were always being renewed.

Once they entered the academy it would also be done every half a year.

But in the academy, evaluations conducted every once in a while could lead to student positions indeed changing on the list.

The list is important when it comes to main sect selections that happen every year.

Students would be taken to the selection if they have applied for it and meet the criteria.

Those whose ages are older might be under a lot of pressure but Huang has thirst for knowledge and strength.

He would however not be in a rush to make a hasty move.

He wanted to be clear about the human ranking before he even appeared on it.

As for the other issues in the sect branch, he preferred to not get involved.

After listening to all the discussions that were being held in the place he got up and took the direction home.

On some other balcony of a building, some old men were observing a sixteen-year-old handle a bunch of pickpockets.

He did not fight but used mere words to make them feel threatened they fled.

Even if Huang could see it he might indeed end up being impressed.

"who is that kid? So smart than our young master."

"How can that be smart? He just used his mouth to get out of trouble. If you ask me I think that is not the style of us practitioners"

Another man smacked the one that had just spoken in the head.

"Who said he is doing anything in a bad way, the way he solved it is more practical. Besides he does not know if they have a backup or hiding their strength."

"The best way to solve problems is not always to throw fists, the situation might get out of hand at that moment who can help you."

As the pickpockets ran to their hideout the old men were wrong. The kid did not plan to let them go.

They saw him follow them slowly and well-hidden they could not find him.

" What is that kid doing, I thought he was already leaning after he had convinced them to leave him alone."

"Interesting, let's see what he is up to, aren't we here to observe the new batch entering the sect this time. Perhaps we can get some interesting fellows to take back to the main sect."

The group of men was not something Huang was aware of at all. To him, the current situation could not even be imagined.

He assumed the entry tests were just that, he had no idea how complex the situation was in the end.
