He tried his best to stay composed. “Yes, Emily, you do. You know that I will never let anyone, even myself, hurt either one of you. That’s all you need to know in order to trust me,” he said seriously.

It seemed that Emily was flustered by what he said. Her mind flashed back to how Leon had bravely punched the mutt and taken a stand for them against Watt, despite being in the hospital himself.

How he had saved her that night from Bale’s villa and also from the kidnapping. She felt a little guilty of the things she had said when she had forgotten about his sacrifices for a while.

“Okay, since I have no other option right now, fine. I’m trusting you,” she finally said. Leon smiled in relief.

He was glad that Emily seemed back to her senses again. He can’t afford to let her think badly about his intentions. Leon knows within himself that his intentions are pure and he never thought of harming either one of them.
