CHAPTER 53

For a moment, Emily was caught off guard by his sudden movement and felt herself frozen in her place. There is a strange feeling rising in her chest.

But the next minute, she understood that he must be freaking out. “Did you have a dream?” she asked softly.

Leon then realized what he did and he was a bit embarrassed. “I’m sorry, Emily. I didn’t mean to do it,” he apologized for wrapping his arms around her waist.

It was an aggressive gesture and he might scare the woman. But Emily just smiled. “It’s okay, Leon. We’re okay. Whatever you had seen in your dream, it was not real,” she told him with a calm voice.

Just then Leon seemed to realize what he was doing and he immediately let go of her which he should have done a while ago.

He winced and looked so apologetic but Emily just shook her head as if it was a sign telling him that it was fine with her and there was nothing to worry about.
