Yasuke, Chapter 16 : King Nebuchadnezzar's Might Part Two

After hearing his voice, Gozu, Botaro, Perseus and the two others found themselves within in presence. After a divine flash of light rose in the sky, they found him standing amongst them in the flesh.

"King Nebuchadnezzar, it's a honor." Botaro uttered as he struggled to raise his arm for a respectful gesture.

"Praise not, elder one." Nebuchadnezzar replied. "The Black Dahlia has been secured, he is already on his way back to Namunda."

"Is that so?" Perseus replied. "That must mean you had to defeat Domitia, Mephistopheles, and the others."

"Think not, brave one. There's no point in trying to defy me in the slightest. I can assure that you can and will be dispatched with ease." Nebuchadnezzar responded. "You should rush to your fellow Spartans aid, they need it right now."

King Nebuchadnezzar snapped his fingers, which seemed to let out a wave of energy that fully eradicated the pressure of Perseus' Deep Blue. Botaro, Nala, and Kaji found themselves able to move again and quickly stood on their feet. Upon seeing this, Perseus went into action and used one of his strongest techniques.

"Poseidon's Trident!"

His chi formed into a giant male figure, which acted as a statue of his father. It looked exactly like him, just with a more lush and slightly wild beard. The giant male figure also had a giant spear in it's hand that it prepared to be throw. It lined up a shot with it's leading hand while holding the Trident in the rear.

"Think not, I should." Nebuchadnezzar suggested. "This is a tribute to your late father, Poseidon. I know much of him and you are definitely his splitting image."

Nebuchadnezzar built his chi as it began to spread around them all. After spreading across the entire area, the chi came together as if it was pieces of a puzzle and slowly built a giant temple around them.

"Resist not, brave one." Nebuchadnezzar stated. "You are now a part of Esagila, the hunting ground of the mushkhushshu."

"The Mushkhushshu!" Botaro recognized.

"What's the Mushkhushshu?" Nala thought.

"It's known as the omni-serpent" Botaro explained. "Within the Temple of Esagila, it's omnipotent. It can see all, it knows all, and it can kill all. It's even known for some type of poison that can render your chi completely useless."

"Try not, Spartan." Nebuchadnezzar warned. "The moment you make a move, the omni-serpent will have it's fangs wrapped around your throat."

"No matter the result, I will not submit without a fight." Perseus replied. "You haven't even seen the beginning of-"

"What we Spartans are capable of." Nebuchadnezzar finished. "I know that quote all too well. The first time I heard it your father said it proudly. That's until he had a hole in his skull."

"I'll give you one to match it." Perseus replied as his chi flared up once again.

"Blue Aegis Shield!"

The giant statue of Poseidon grew two more arms. The two arms both contained a shield with the face of a woman with snakes as her hair on the front. Perseus' body became the center of the statue as he levitated in the chest part of it.

"This is such a treat, to be a part of it I'm so glad." Gozu expressed. "Because he's using so many techniques I didn't even know he had!"

Perseus rushed towards Nebuchadnezzar, Botaro, Gozu and the others. The steps the statue took left major dents as footprints as the entire landscape began trembling with the force. As he came forward, mini snakes began to slither out of the ceiling of the temple.

*SWISH* *SWISH* *SWISH*

The snakes became entangled and immobilized in the outer layers of the statue.

"My chi is potent enough to hold them in place for awhile." Perseus thought. "This gives me the time I need to finish them all."

While King Nebuchadnezzar stood tall a couple feet in front of where Botaro and the others were, they began backtracking step by step. Everyone except King Nebuchadnezzar slowly retreated.

"I know you don't plan on taking his attack head on." Kaji stated. "Even someone of your statue won't leave unscathed."

"He won't make it that far." King Nebuchadnezzar replied. "Allow the mushkhushshu to adjust to his chi's potency."

"I'm not one others are able to push over so easily." Kaji explained. "But taking this chance, despite what you think the outcome will be, is crazy. We shouldn't stick around." "Hesitate not then, unwise one." Nebuchadnezzar replied. "If you don't believe in the mushkhushshu, he'll reveal himself to you personally."

As the others continued to slowly back away, Botaro planted his feet behind Nebuchadnezzar.

"The Mushkhushshu couldn't have built such a reputation for no reason." he thought. "It will find a way to overcome Perseus'strength."

As Perseus got within a few meters of where Nebuchadnezzar and the others were standing, the snakes began to slither through the outer layer of the statue. This seem to make it easier for the following snakes as well, because they broke through much more easier than the ones before.

"They've began to infiltrate the inner layers. If what they said is true, I cannot let them touch me." Perseus thought as he noticed this.

*SWOOSH*

Perseus dispersed the giant statue of his father and used the chi to send himself towards Nebuchadnezzar. The snakes fell to the ground, before quickly leaping in the air after him.

"I may over-exert my energy, but I cannot allow this potential threat." Perseus thought as he built his aura mid-air. "Wall of Tartarus!"

Perseus extended his arm out to Nebuchadnezzar as his chi formed four walls around him.

"I'm sure I can twist this technique to be more like his own" Perseus thought. "All I have to do is wait for the window of opportun-"

*SNAP*

Perseus' thoughts were interrupted by one of the snakes wrapping around his extended arm and sinking their fangs into his neck. The force of the bite put Perseus off balance, and his chi began to fade directly after.

"He's at Mushkhushshu's mercy now." Nebuchadnezzar stated as he turned around and began to walk away. "He's as good as dead."

"Asserting premature victory is not something you should be doing, because if you pay attention you'll see that he hasn't stopped moving." Gozu pointed out.

King Nebuchadnezzar turned around just in time to see Perseus guiding Poseidon's Trident directly at his head.

"The Legendary King Nebuchadnezzar is no longer!"
