The Spartans made their way to the Kingdom of Neserus, and were finally approaching the entrance. After being greeted by a few Knights in King Musa's Order, they started walking down the golden path. The Golden Path was the infamous long road made by pure gold which led straight to the Kingdom. After remembering what he saw, Domitia began to point out how well the Kingdom looked after being totally destroyed.
"I forgot to tell you guys this." He started. "King Nebuchadnezzar completely trashed the entire kingdom with a wave of energy he unleashed. But, King Musa was able to fix the entire thing immediately."One of the many other young Spartans caught up to Domitia to ask him a question."How did he do that?""You should have been here, Kratos." Domitia replied. "He has an ability called Luck Share, which basically allows him to increase his chances of getting the possibilities he favors. And he's able to combine Luck Share with another ability he has called the Sphere of Promise, which can change the quality of both inanimate and animate objects. He would use chi to break pieces of the ground. Then, he would use his Sphere of Promise to fix the broken pieces of the ground. Once he incorporated his Luck Share, the pieces of the ground would not only be repaired, but could also be turned into gold or diamonds.""That's probably how he got so wealthy." Kratos deciphered."Initially, yes." Domitia replied. The group made their way into the castle, as many villagers began to notice their presence."Look! It's the Spartans!" They heard distant voices say. After a few steps, one knight from Musa's Order appeared before them. It was Mona."King Musa already told me that King Leonidas had other matters to attend to." She said. "So, I won't question his absence. He also told me this meeting was urgent, so let's move quickly...follow me."Mona swiftly led the group around a corner to see Musa's castle in the distance. He was standing at the top of the stairs before the entrance."So that's King Musa, huh?" Kratos uttered."Yep." Domitia replied. "Hopefully you'll get to see his ability sometime.""Greetings, Young Spartans." King Musa called out. "Before I begin to tell you what I summoned you here for, I would like to ask you all a question that I want everyone to answer. So, you have permission to speak as freely as necessary."The young spartans glanced at each other in silence as they awaited what King Musa wanted to ask."It may sound strange to hear at first, but I can assure you that there's no ill intention in me asking. Well, I wanted to ask how well will Spartania function without King Leonidas.""What?" Domitia uttered."What type of question is that?" Kratos added."Choose your words carefully." Mona interrupted with a cold stare."Relax, Mona." King Musa advised. "I granted them the permission to speak freely. It's fine.""Well, if you ask me, I think we'd operate as usual." Domitia stated. "We'd remain loyal to your allies, we'd continue abiding by our established methods, practically everything would be the same. Except for one thing...""We would be sad." Kratos added. "We'd still be able to function. But, our emotional state would be really bad.""We've told Leonidas multiple times that we would most likely become mildy depressed in the case of his death." Logias explained. "It's just how we are.""Yeah, that's pretty much how I would respond to that question as well." Mephistopheles chimed in."As the next in line to rule, I'd say I probably lose the will to do so." Hercules answered. "It's a position I'd take because I have to, not because I want to.""So that means all of you would also be willing to lay down your life for his sake?" King Musa asked."Of course we would!" Domitia and Kratos said in sync."Leonidas is supposed to be the first one to fall if anybody does and he has made it a rule pretty much. But, that's the only one that I probably wouldn't be able to obey." Logias replied honestly. "Especially in the heat of the moment.""The only ones who would act like Leonidas wants us to are the two Spartan Captains." Mephisto answered. "Instead of trying to save King Leonidas, they'd finish whatever task they were assigned. The rest of us would definitely prioritize his life over the task.""If that's the case, I probably shouldn't tell you what I was going to." King Musa claimed."Wait, is King Leonidas in trouble?" Logias asked as he took a few steps forward.Mona instinctively entered her guard, but was able to calm her nerves."Did something happen to him on his way to the Kingdom of Namunda?" Domitia inquired. "Please, just tell us.""Well, I have received the news that Leonidas entered the Kingdom of Namunda around the same time you reached the Golden Path." King Musa explained. "He was challenged to a duel by King Nobunaga as soon as he entered."As soon as they heard that King Leonidas was challenged to a duel, the expression of worry changed to the expression of joy. Domitia and Kratos began to laugh, as everyone's mood began to brighten up."You had me concerned for a moment." Logias admitted. "But, we all know King Leonidas is more than capable of taking care of himself when it comes to single duels.""Being that it's a duel, they shouldn't have the intention of harming each other. We have certain rules to ensure it's a pretty safe contest." Hercules explained. "It's fair to assume that since King Nobunaga was the one who challenged King Leonidas, he accepted those rules that we made for dueling.""What type of duels do Spartans engage in?" King Musa asked."Well, there's two types of duels. A singles duel and a utility duel." Kratos answered."A singles duel involves two warriors engaging in close quarter combat. The use of chi and weapons are prohibited unless the two warriors agree on otherwise." Logias continued."A utility duel is consisted of a variety of team based war games. The last utility duel was a war race with myself and Logias against Kratos and Domitia." Mephistopheles said. "I carried Logias on my back and Kratos carried Domitia. We were to run from one side of the outer perimeter of Spartania to the other while defending or attacking the other team.""I see." King Musa stated."If King Nobunaga challenged King Leonidas to a singles duel, there's nothing to worry about." Kratos concluded."Well, I suppose I should begin the conversation I intended for us to have." King Musa stated as he began to walk down the stairs. "But, it would be better for it to wait until King Leonidas is present and accounted for. How about we all spectate King Leonidas' and Nobunaga's duel instead?""Wait, you can do that?" Domitia stated.King Musa equipped a small pendant that had a translucent space in the shape of a square in the middle of it."Yes, young spartan." King Musa replied. "I've learned to transform the impossible into the possible."The translucent space in the middle projected a block of light that began to show the current events happening in the Kingdom of Namunda."Damn, he wasn't joking." Domitia thought as he saw his King waiting for an incoming clash with King Nobunaga's blade. "He really does do the impossible."*A FEW MINUTES EARLIER* King Leonidas was teleported to the entrance of the Kingdom of Namunda. "Logias' Lacuna Breach has improved." Leonidas thought. "He always tries to downplay his ability, but it's one of the most developed of all the young spartans." As Leondias began to walk towards it, he felt a certain energy that spiked his senses. This made him curious, but also very defensive. "King Leonidas." He heard a voice say. He looked up to see King Nobunaga jump from the top and land just a few feet away from him. "I know you're here for Yasuke, but I have a few things I need to tell you." He revealed. "Despite how it may look, our wishes for Yasuke aren't that different. Yes, there are a few things I want to use his powers to accomplish. But, I don't view him as some lifeless object. I sincerely want him to be happy and prosperous as well." "That's good." Leondias vaguely replied. "I also care about his safety." King Nobunaga continued. "And that's why I'd like to challen
"I hope this experience teaches you something." King Leondias uttered as he walked past King Nobunaga. "King Leondias, wait!" Nobunaga uttered as he scrambled to his feet. "I didn't plan to inflict such a heavy gash on you." "You didn't plan on it because you didn't believe I would give you the opportunity. But, once it occured to you that you could, you wanted to." King Leondias replied. "There's no point in sugarcoating anything. You already said you wanted to make sure I could protect myself and Yasuke. And to really test if I could protect him, you had to attack with killer intent." "King Leondias is so naive that it's almost endearing." Nobunaga thought as he watched him walk away. "It's okay if he takes Yasuke, I have another plan." King Nobunaga followed King Leondias into the Kingdom of Namunda, but as soon as he entered, he went on his own way. After witnessing their duel, King Musa and Spartans left to their own duties. The Spartans left to return to Spartania and awaited
Perseus's body was brought back to the Kingdom of Spartania, where it was kept and cared for directly under Hercules. Once Leonidas returned from his journey of taking Yasuke to the Kingdom of Objibwe, Hercules was enabled to relinquish this position to his king. After a few days, Perseus began to show signs of consciousness. Leonidas was doubtful at first. But, he quickly realized that this was a part of Perseus's ascension. Everyone, including the Spartans, agreed with the notion that you can not escape death. When one's life has expired, there's nothing they can do to prolong it. However, those who were chosen became able to overcome the very concept of death. He who rises above the inevitable force known as death reaches Nirvana, the highest level of enlightenment. Once King Leonidas realized the change Perseus was going through, it became hard to say the same composed leader he usually was. For the first time in a long time, the Great King Leonidas smiled. Yasuke was alone, meditating in a field of lush greenery a few hours before dawn. This has become a routine for him as King Agasga instructed him to do so. His words began to echo in Yasuke's head. "Everyone always gets the idea of Nirvana wrong. They say it leads to being able to heal the diseased, to beat the unbeatable, but it is all wrong. To reach Nirvana means to do only what your chi enables you to. There's no personal feats once you've reached Nirvana. We are merely just pawns blessed to be vessels of this legendary force. We have to work to have enough resolve and remove ourselves from greatness. I do not think. I do not act. I allow the nodes of Nirvana to manifest in my body. First, young Yasuke, you must learn to go with the flow of chi in its purest form. Do not think. Do not act. Just allow the chi you're surrounded by to govern you." Soon, Yasuke's chi began to form. "The first thing you need to implement into your technique is a feint attack." Logias explained. "A feint attack is simply a deceptive attack or movement that's used to distract your opponent. With a feint, you make them think you're going to do something, and then you do something else." Domitia instructed. "When you're dealing with a technique that's going to take a few moments to set up, feint attacks will buy you the time needed." Logias continued. "If they're too busy focusing on feint attacks, they won't be able to see the real attack coming." Aristodemus stated. "Exactly." Domitia replied. "So what type of feint attack should I use?" Aristodemus inquired. "Well, that's something we can not teach you." Logias answered. "Yeah, feint attacks are just one of the many fundamentals of combat. Everybody should study and truly learn all of the fundamentals of combat. But how you choose to incorporate them into your arsenal is completely up to you." Domitia replied. "But, I can g
A lady was riding horseback through a open field, heading towards a cluster of trees. "It seems I've lost them...for now" she thought as she momentarily looked back. On the side of the horse, there was an open basket attached to the saddle with a baby wrapped in a blanket in it. The baby seemed to be enjoying the bumpy ride, as a still-developing smile was engraved on his face. She looked down at the baby to see the radiant, reddish-orange sky reflecting in it's eyes, and began smiling back. "They won't be able to find me after the sun sets. It won't be much longer now" The lady carried on as the sun fully set, which left her in the company of the night sky. This didn't stop her, however. She lit a lantern which help illuminate the path as she continued on her journey. *THE NEXT DAY* The lady washed the baby's face and body in a bathtub. The greyish-warm water had various green herbs floating around in it. When she dipped the baby's body in th
"Keep in mind that this is what you asked for!" Botaro stated. Eradius rushed towards Botaro as his chi flowed around his feet. "Ferocious style?" Botaro thought. "He's stronger than I thought" *SWOOSH* *SWOOSH* *SWOOSH* Botaro was able to catch Erad's first two kicks, but the third one connected. Botaro's body was pushed back as a result of the force. Amadia's chi caused rocks to float around her. As she thrusted her arms forwards, the rocks began to soar towards Botaro. Erad jumped out of the way as Botaro cover this head and chest with his arms. *TINK* *TINK* *TINK* Once the rocks came into contact with Botaro's skin, they were absorbed. "You two aren't half bad, actually" Botaro stated as the rocks began to blast out of his skin. "It's a shame you have to die" Erad and Amadia barely evaded the rocks, as Botaro charged at them. "Hardening style, Iron Fist" Botaro stated as his chi gathered at his arms.
There are five stages of enlightenment. The first, labelled the "Awakening Stage" was reached once a person learned to channel Chi and could also gather chi in one of the various ways. The second, labelled the "Empowerment Stage" was reached once a person learned to empower themselves with Chi energy. Second stage users also learned the Three Combat Kata, being Ferocious style, hardening style, and intercepting style. Ferocious style enabled faster and more dynamic movements through the application of Chi. Hardening style was centered around enhancing one own's body with chi, to be able to cause more damage and to be able to take in more damage. Intercepting style, was the first indications that one could reach the fourth stage. Much like the fourth stage, labelled the "Third Eye Stage", intercepting style revolves around one attaining a better sense of chi. It allowed more chi to be detected amongst other chi users, and from plant-life when gathering. Those in the third stage, labe

A man was sitting on one of the many hills in a field of grass. There were plenty of different flowers and bushes in the field, but none close to the position he was in. His eyes were closed, but he was looking in the direction of the sun. His feet were planted into the ground and loosened soil was up to his ankles. His hands were raised above his head yet appeared to be in a relaxed state. It was the man that Yasuke saw before. The man that had the same brown pigment on his skin that Yasuke had and was very thin. Soon, he was joined by another person in similar clothing to his own. "King Agasga!" King Agasga lowered his hands and opened his eyes to look at his visitor. "The imbalance is becoming greater and greater." The man said to him. "It's becoming worse than we thought. I think it's time you come out of retirement and solve this issue." "No." King Agasga replied. "It's not my fate to end things this time. It's Yasuke's." "My King...the child is still too young. He can't han
"The time has come for you to join the rest of them." "You seriously think you'll defeat me? Come try your luck then?" Two swords rose from two sets of opposing hands. Both of the two warriors wielding the swords entered their stance with a look that expressed everything that wasn't being said. No regrets, no remorse, no shame, but most of all, no retreat. One of the warriors lunged forward first, with the tip of the sword pointed at the opposing warrior's head. *TING* The other warrior used the hilt of his sword to offset the trajectory of the attack, and countered with a quick sword spin that resulted in his foe earning a stab to his lead shoulder. The stab forced the initial warrior to drop his blade as the other delivered a kick that forced him to the ground. Before he could realize, he was without the option of evading and watched the tip of the blade soar towards his face. "You should've joined me when you had the chance, Yasuke." *SWOOSH* "I won't join you!" Yasuke yell
After Botaro and Kaji made it back to the Kingdom of Namunda, they were met with King Nobunaga. He was cheerful that they managed to take Yasuke from Neserus despite what happened to King Nebuchadnezzar. Despite King Nebuchadnezzar's condition, Nobunaga's onto focus was throwing a celebration. "My King, I know it may be hard for you to hear. But, King Nebuchadnezzar fell in his battle against the Spartan Captain Perseus." Botaro explained. "He managed to capture Yasuke, which is indeed a win. But losing King Nebuchadnezzar in battle is still a loss. I'm having my own herbalist treating him with medicine currently. But, I think we should have the Order's head herbalist working on healing him." "No, that won't be necessary." King Nobunaga stated as he poured himself a drink. "You have your guy doing all he can, which is fine for me. Don't stress Botaro. You should have a drink, try to enjoy yourself." "I'm glad your in good spirits but I can't celebrate knowing King Nebuchadnezzar wo
