Yasuke, Chapter 9 : Yasuke's Vision

King Nobunaga the Second was sitting comfortably on his new throne. Humming his favorite tune cheerfully as he watched his underling enter the room.

"You forgot to knock." He spoke.

"My apologies, but I received urgent news about Yasuke. I knew you would appreciate the information regardless." His underling replied.

"Is that right? Well tell me what it is, Botaro."

"King Nobunaga, I received confirmation that Yasuke is heading to Spartania."

"SPARTANIA?" Nobunaga stated as he sprung up in his seat, nearly falling over.

"Yes, my king. King Musa has allowed for King Leonidas to train Yasuke."

In many eyes, Nobunaga was an immature teenager who was self centered and arrogant. Everytime he was spoke of, it was about how his big ego prevents him from bettering his skill. However, there wasn't a single person that considered him foolish. He was very cunning and a quick strategical thinker. He could be given a scenario and determine the most probable of all the outcomes. He knew in this moment that Leonidas teaching Yasuke the ways of the Spartans would make achieving his goals much more difficult. He couldn't wait. If his dreams are to be achieved, he'd have to act immediately.

"Botaro, I want you to choose a team. Four knights and one bishop. Go retrieve Yasuke and bring him here." Nobunaga instructed. "Make it quick and quiet, do not make a mess."

"I'll gather them now." Botaro stated as he quickly turned around and walked towards the room exit. "The King is giving me a chance to prove my worth by allowing me to lead a team, I have to make sure we take Yasuke without any commotion. Who should I pick? Ah, I know exactly who."

Botaro continued down the hall from Nobunaga's room. Once he reached the stairs at the end of it, he saw one of his fellow knights waiting on him there.

"Amadia." Botaro recognized. "I'm glad you decided to wait for me, Nobunaga just assigned a mission to us."

"I thought I told you to call me Captain Amadia." She replied. "I am your superior, after all."

"Tch." Botaro thought. "I've regretted recruiting her since she became a Bishop. All of my hard work throughout the years was forgotten just because she bested me in combat one time."

"Anyway, what's the mission?" Amadia continued.

"Something that should be rather easy, considering your a part of the squad." Botaro explained. "First, let me gather the rest of us. Then, I'll give you all a briefing."

"I'll be waiting for you here." Amadia stated as she sat down on the bottom step of the stairs.

Botaro left the area, darting around a corner that led to a different section of the castle.

"Something rather easy...considering I'm a part of the squad?" Amadia thought as she watched Botaro leave. "We've been on plenty easy missions before, but he never said anything like this. What type of mission will this be? Should I ask the King for details? No, I'll just wait and see."

*MEANWHILE IN NESERUS*

"Try again." Eradius stated.

Yasuke extended his arm towards paper targets that were approximately fifty feet away from him. His potent aura covered his body as a projectile made from his energy soared from his hand. The projectile was moving very quickly, until it got about halfway the distance between Yasuke and the target. Then, it slowed down to the point where any regular person could snatch it out the air. Finally, it completely disappeared.

"I'm not sure what to do" Eradius thought. "I thought it would be a good idea to sharpen Yasuke's skills before he goes to Spartania. But, it's not going well at all. He's still having trouble with the fundamental stages."

Eradius was joined by Samor, one of Musa's bishops.

"Do you think Leonidas will be able to help me?" Yasuke asked.

"I'm not sure." Eradius replied. "All I know is that whatever he teaches you will be extremely valuable. You know he's considered the best warrior amongst all the kings, right?"

"Maybe he'll teach me how to use a sword." Yasuke suggested.

Eradius' curiosity perked up one he heard this.

"Is that something you want to learn?" Samor asked.

"If Eradius would allow it." Yasuke replied.

"Woah, I don't make decisions for you Yasuke." Eradius quickly corrected. "I've always allowed you to do what you feel."

"Leonidas is one of the best swordsman I know." Samor explained. "I'm sure he'd be glad to teach you everything he knows."

"We should go now." Yasuke suggested.

"What?" Eradius said. "Why?"

"Because everyone says my safety is a top priority." Yasuke replied.

"It is." Samor stated. "Why are you saying this?"

"Do you believe that your not safe here?" Eradius asked.

"I won't be." Yasuke replied. "Before leaving for training with Leonidas, we will be in danger."

"What's going to happen?" Eradius asked.

Upon hearing this, Samor channeled her chi and began using her psychic transmission skill and connected to Yasuke's thoughts. She then saw destruction. Briefly, she saw five knights sporting the Namunda Kingdom emblem on their garments, hovering over a broken castle. With the main one amongst them having Yasuke's unconscious body over their shoulder, she knew exactly what Yasuke meant with his earlier statements.

"Eradius, there's going to be an attack." Eradius heard Samor say. "It seems Nobunaga the Second will send a group of knights and a bishop to take Yasuke back."

"Damn, that means he knew Yasuke was here the entire time." Eradius thought. "Wait, how did you gain this information?"

"As soon as I connected my mind to Yasuke's, I experienced a vision that he saw." Samor answered.

"Yasuke is seeing visions?" Eradius pondered. "This kid's enlightenment is like no other I've seen before."

"I have an idea." Samor stated. "First, give me a moment to relay this information to King Musa."

Meanwhile, in the center of Neserus, Musa was sitting on his throne. He was nearly sleep as he was dozing off until Samor connected her mind to his.

"King Musa!"

Musa rushed to his feet and looked around in the room. Once he saw no one, he knew it was Samor using her trademark skill.

"Yes, what is it Samor?" Musa nonchalantly replied as he rubbed his eyes.

"I'm going to emulate a certain vision that Yasuke had that I found." Samor explained. "I have a good idea how to go about dealing with what the vision shows."

"Yasuke is having visions?" Musa said. "Interesting....yeah go ahead and show me. Also, let me hear about this idea after it's done."
