Eleanor's POV

The next day, I went to work at the company, as agreed.

It had been a long time since I'd last been on the premises as an employee. I was still a little uncomfortable, wearing a simple suit.

I stroked my work tag and gave myself a mental pep talk. I didn't want to be the woman protected by Lawrence at home, I needed to maintain a normal social life. I needed friends, of course, but the most important thing was to keep an eye on Bena, making sure she stayed within the bounds.

As I walked into the secretary's office, I heard the voices of my colleagues commenting on our situation inside.

"It's a shame to hear that Mr. Lawrence is going to be working from home. I guess we won't be seeing him anytime soon."

"Oh, Daisy, are you still pining for Mr. Lawrence? It's a pity he's married. Eleanor has got her wedding ring out, hasn't she?"

Daisy covered her face and made a pained sound, "I still think Mr. Lawrence makes a handsome couple with Miss Bena. She really is beautiful."
