Did you like here

Hadi was in his room, sitting on his bed, keeping the laptop in his front, he paused his work and rested his back from the bed to relax.

His day was very busy today, he spent most of his time in his mother's company, he visited the factory, took briefings on the orders that had been completed and those in progress, and also met with their important customers.

Manager of the company handover the piles of data to him, which were the work they had done on Tania Paracha's planning and the decision she took. Now he was reading to all of them, his mother was indeed a good designer and businesswoman.

He also has some plans related to this company but for this, he first needs Mahtaj's opinion, he had to wait for this considering her condition.

He was lost in his thoughts when the door was knocked and Hashim came into the room, looking at his friend's face, Hadi smiled and stood to hug him.

"Had a good sleep?" shoving his hands in his trousers pocket, he asked from him.

"Thank God, I was so tired, there was a pool of activities, and staying far away from home it is very difficult, I missed you all" Hashim slumped on the couch in his room.

"Yeah, I can understand" Hadi nods at him and close the lid of his laptop placing it on his bed's side table making space for him to lie down.

"Don't tell me you were doing office work, like seriously, I don't get how you guys like the business, you people even don't stay at home in peace" Hashim flinch at his own words.

"Actually, I am looking at mom's business right now, so in the limited time it's not possible for me to catch both businesses, therefore, I brought the work at home." Hashim looked at him intently, they both never hid, anything from each other, they were cousins and close friends.

"Mom told me about aunt Tania's death, I'm sorry for your loss." Hadi nods at him.

"Also, I'm sorry for mom's behavior with Mahtaj, especially what she did the night you brought her here." Hashim was embarrassed when he learned about what his mother has done in the past few days.

"How is Mahtaj? When I reached in the afternoon, I didn't meet her, she was at her university and then I went to sleep, and I guess now she would be sleeping." Hashim asked about the girl, which was becoming a headache for his mother, and he couldn't find the reason behind it.

"She is much better now, she doesn't talk much, you can meet her in the morning." Hadi's lips curled in a smile while talking about his sister.

"Hm," Hashim listened to him and nodded.

"Why are looking at me like that?" getting irritated by his continuous stare, Hadi asked him the reason.

"You are worried, something is making you unrest, want to share? I am listening" Hashim said what he was feeling since he sat in his room, while Hadi rubbed his hand in his hair, Hashim was right he was tensed but he doesn't want to share this with anyone.

"Thanks, but currently I am fine, will surely come to you when will need a listener"

"No problem"

"Leave this and tell me how was your trip?" Hadi asked him and Hashim got excited to tell him every minor detail of his trip.

-----

Everyone in Paracha's house was busy in doing breakfast, On the dining table's head seat the eldest brother Aleem Paracha was sitting, and on its opposite was Ali Paracha. Mrs. Madiha wife of Aleem Paracha was sitting beside its right side while his eldest son was sitting beside his left side. Hashim was sitting with his mother, and Fatir's family was sitting beside him.

Whereas Hadi was sitting beside his dad's left side and Mahtaj was on his right side.

It was not easy for Mrs. Madiha to tolerate the presence of Mahtaj but she had no other option as her husband had asked her to stay silent and see what they do next.

Mahtaj was in her own thoughts, she was not a kid and was understanding the dislike of her uncle and aunt towards her, but she couldn't figure out why they hate her so much. She was blankly taking bites of her food when Hashim caught her attention.

Before answering him, she looked at her brother's face, he was normal, which means that talking to him will be no issue.

"Yes?" Hashim was the fourth person in the house to whom she was talking, rest she didn't initiate the talk nor they did.

"Did you like here? And the people of Paracha house?" Mahtaj just shrugged her shoulder at him, what can she say to him when she was not welcome here, daily she ignore the hate stares of two pairs of eyes.

However, she was coming out of her trauma, it was a slow process, but she could feel that her condition is improving, maybe her busy routine is helping her or actually, her brother had played a key role here.

"Ahh, so you didn't like" Hashim took her silence and act as her dislike, all members of the table shook their heads at his comment, while his mother rolled her eyes.

"You can say" Mahtaj didn't miss the chance to express her hate or despise.

"Not even you dad and brother?" he questioned astounded.

Mahtaj did not answer him, she won't know the right answer to this question. She doesn't hate her brother, she admits that her brother is best and loves her but what about her father, he hasn't talked to her since she came here.

When it took long for her to answer, Hadi slapped Hashim's hand, motioning him to stop teasing her.

"Just ignore his questions, by the way, he is Hashim and he is Aleem's uncle's youngest son" Mahtaj smiled at her savior.

All were stunned seeing her smiling, it was her first time since she's here.

"Come on finish your breakfast, today I will drop you at the university." Hadi was glad at the positive change in her.

Ali Paracha lowered his head to hide the tears from everyone.
