Chapter Fifty-One – Backup

Bethany laughed, no matter how serious he’d have liked to be at that point. “Did you just realize you are my father now? Okay then, sign the ownership of Allen Enterprises to me, huh?”

The old man frowned deeply. That was the very last thing he’d do. He glared as Bethany brought the knife closer to his face.

Would he kill him? And risk being chased by the government forever? But he was a mafia boss so he could get away with it by pinning it on a lackey.

What would he do? How’d he advert this? The old man’s eyes shook violently. Frightened by the seemingly impending death before him.

Bethany stared at his father’s frightened state. Did he fear death so much while dishing it out to others?

Annoyed, he dragged the knife across the old man’s face. Mr. Allen yelped in pain, holding his face.

Bethany had a serious expression. “I can remember you giving me a similar wound as a kid. You’re lucky it healed but I’d like to make sure yours doesn’t.”
