Chapter Sixty-Three – Visit

Dominic rang the doorbell then held up the gifts he brought in front of his face so that it’d be the first thing seen.

Someone opened the door. “Oh, Dominic.” Casimir sighed. “I thought Jean finally came back.”

Came back? Dominic dropped the gift from his face. “Did she leave to somewhere?” He walked inside the place when Casimir gestured in.

The house was beautifully furnished and looked new. Many things were made of glass than ceramics. A really fragile house.

“No, Jean went to buy cakes. She said she’d buy all the flavors she sees. It’s been a while so I’m expecting her any time from now.” Casimir explained.

“She must be bored out of her head to go on a cake hunt.” Dominic blurted. He regretted it immediately when Casimir heard it. He shouldn’t judge the siblings when he was related to why they were sober.

Casimir nodded. “She hadn’t been concentrating on work so she took a leave. I guess she’s really bored out of her head.”
