Nothing Is What Is Seems

"No, I don't love you, I hate you, you killed my beloved master,"

Ah, how much he wished now to be able to change the past, but how could he? The deed was already done. He was the cause of her pain. Yu Bin was in pain now because of him... if he could change his decision made that terrible night. If he had stayed with her, if he had stayed with the master. If he could change what happened that night, he would gladly do it. He would give his life to be able to change the past and to see that innocent smile once more without any worries.

But the past cannot be changed, the tragedy of that night cannot be erased. That's why he will always stand by her side. If he can take on himself even a fragment of her pain, then he will.

" I'm sorry..." He whispers slowly as if just for him. He wanted to get down on his knees and ask for forgiveness and cry until he had no more tears, but who was he to do that? Who is he that Yu Bin should forgive him. That's why all he said was I'm sorry.

"I hate you," Yu Bin said, but the moment the words 'I hate you' came out of her mouth, she felt her soul breaking. Really? Did she really hates him? In front of her was the man she loved more than anything in the world, but at the same time in front of her was the murderer of her parents, in front of her was the one who had killed the master. She had to hate him, she definitely had to...

"I love you ..." the answer came and her heart clenched strongly. It had been so long since she had heard these words.

A strong pain shot through her chest. Whatever it is, she can't love him. It's not possible for him to love her, if he loved her he wouldn't have killed them all.

The man in front of her is a monster.

"I hate you, Xian Chen," She answered with a trembling voice. The pain in the chest became overwhelming as it passed. The arms around her should have warmed her, soothed her. But the arms that once did this, today made her feel boundless pain.

"I love you, my princess, my Yu Bin, my life." Xian Chen answered by hugging her and gently stroking her hair.

"I hate you," Yu Bin said, crying painfully.

"I know, I am sorry... I'm truly sorry."

"I hate you ... " Yu Bin said, sobbing and gripping him tightly in agony.

Xian Chen held her tighter, trying to comfort her despite her words of hatred. He knew he had hurt her deeply, and he regretted every moment of it.

"I will do anything to make it right, my love. Please forgive me," Xian Chen whispered, his voice filled with remorse.

Yu Bin looked up at him, tears streaming down her face. She could see the pain in his eyes, the regret in his expression. Despite her anger and hurt, she knew deep down that she still loved him.

"I will never in my life forgive you, Xian Chen. ," Yu Bin admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

Xian Chen held her close, kissing her forehead gently.

"I know, I am sorry. I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you, my princess. I promise." Xian Chen replied tenderly, his voice quivering in pain.

He really loved her, nothing in the world is certain, but his love for her surpassed anything in this world. He also realized how much he loved her, but it was too late for them now. Their past stood against their future.

After a while Yu Bin stopped crying and calmed down. Xian Chen took her on his back and went to take her home. It was late and they couldn't find any taxis and the buses had stopped running for some time, so they had to walk home.

"Xian Chen..." Yu Bin called out to him softly and Xian Chen answered softly by turning his head and their cheeks lightly touched

" Hmm ..."

"I love you," Her words were out of her mouth before she realized it, but she didn't feel sorry.

What was worse was that "I love you" was hurting her more than "I hate you".

"Hmm ... I love you too, " Her words made his heart tighten with pain and a tear fell from his eye instantly followed by another.

"I hate you,"

"Hmm ... I know. I'm sorry." Did her words hurt more because he knew it was a lie? Maybe if she really hated him, she wouldn't suffer so much.

But deep down, they both knew that their love was complicated and messy. It was filled with pain and hurt, but also with moments of joy and happiness. And despite everything, they couldn't deny the fact that they still loved each other, even if it hurt.

They both knew that love wasn't always easy, but they were willing to fight for it, even if it meant facing their demons and insecurities. Because at the end of the day, they knew that their love was worth it, no matter how much it hurt.

"Xian Chen..."

"Hm .."

"Idiot ... why did you do it?"

"Because I'm an idiot ..." Tears began to flow strongly from his eyes. Even if he had no right to cry, he is still only a human, and being a human crying is natural when you are in agony.

An intense silence covered the night now. Sometimes, a car would drive by, or a couple would giggle, but there was silence in their hearts. How many times did this happen? How many times did their heart beat in unison in misery?

Yu Bin and Xian Chen in the daytime were completely different from Yu Bin and Xian Chen in the night when they drank together.

It was unbearable, but it was the only time that Yu Bin recognized Xian Chen.

At first, he couldn't believe what he saw. He was happy and unhappy at the same time, he was happy that she didn't remember anything but at the same time miserable that he couldn't take care of her when she needed to, instead of taking care of her he destroyed her. Later, he learned that this Yu Bin was his Yu Bin when she was drunk, but everything she said hurt him terribly.

It's not like it wasn't worth it. It's just that the pain was unbearable at times.

"We are here, baby ... " Xian Chen said tenderly, turning his head to the side to look at her. Lifting her head behind his shoulders, Yu Bin saw that she was in front of her house. Their journey had lasted so little. Xian Chen's back felt so warm that she wanted it to last a little longer.

"Um ... thanks ... I'll go inside."

"Okay, good night, baby."

Without looking at him, Yu Bin entered the house, left her bag and jacket, and got into her bed. It wasn't long until she fell asleep thinking about the past

"Master, when will you teach me how to fly with a sword? huh, huh?"

"You're not ready yet."

"I'm not ready?"

"Yes."

"How am I not ready? Kids my age are already experts at this. They always show me what they can do, and I can't show them anything."

"If you want to fly, just tell me, and I'll take you up in the sky."

" Oh, will you take me whenever I want?"

" Yes."

"Even if it's mid1night."

"Even if it's midnight, midday, a sunny day, a rainy day when you're happy, sad, whenever you want."

"Then .... are you taking me now?"

"Hm ..."

"Yeahhhhh, great."

Yu Bin said, her eyes shining with happiness. A wide smile was plastered on her face, and she rushed her master outside.

Bao Fang unsheathed her sword, scooped Yu Bin into her arms, and flew up.

It all looked so great up there. They were able to see how immaculate the river was.

They could see trees and flowers, and nature looked so wonderful.

"Master ..."

"Hm?"

"It's so wonderful ..." Yu Bin said, looking down at everything.

"I can't stop looking at it. It's so wonderful and magical, isn't it master?" She added

"Yes, it is," said her master, staring tenderly behind her.

Yu Bin's long hair fluttered like magic, and her smiling face grasped Bao Fang's heart.

"I wish I could learn to fly. After I learn to fly, I will take you with me to show you the magic of our world."

"Um, one day."

"Why not now, master?"

Yu Bin said, leaning slightly on her master's chest.

"That's a secret." The Master said, whispering in her ear.

"I don't like my master's secrets," Yu Bin said, leaning on her.

"Let's go down, I'll show you something ..."

"Oh, well, let's go."

As they came down, they reached a forest, the sounds of a multitude of birds reached their ears, and the land of Flowers in front of them made the place look like paradise.

"Come on, I'll show you something. "

said Master, and taking her by the hand, she pulled her through the flowerbed to a deep cascade.

"Wow, master, you're the best. This is impressive. How incredible. Look, there are sparkling fish, is it possible? I never knew there was such a thing

"It is ?" said the Master, smiling,

but the next moment, the landscape changed.

No flowers, no rivers, no sparkling fish. The celestial place has now turned into an inferno.

Lots of living corpses were coming out of nowhere."It is ?"

"What is this? Yu Bin shrieked in shock

"This ?.... The reality..."

"The reality? Master, what's going on?"

"This place is known as the place where darkness shines."

"What ... ?"

"Here, my dear, you will have to fight for your life. "

said the Master, smirking devilishly.

"Are you kidding me, master? Did you fool me? I assumed we were having fun, but did you take me to train here? ughhh, I hate you, master," Yu Bin cried out.

" I love you more, now, my dear princess, fight. Show me what you can do, and I'll think about training you to ride a sword."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

Yu Bin wiped away her tears and stood up, determination in her eyes. She knew that her master believed in her, and she was ready to prove herself. With a newfound sense of purpose, she picked up her sword and began to train with all her might. And as she fought, she felt a sense of pride and accomplishment, knowing that she was one step closer to becoming the warrior she always dreamed of being.

Master Bao Fang watched her closely, she was right behind her at every movement, sometimes teaching her what to do, but she never raised her sword, instead, every time her master was in danger, Yu Bin confronted the monster and destroyed it before it touched her master.

"Master, you're bothering me. Go and stay somewhere safe."

"The safest place is behind you ... I trust you."

"You are an incredible master. I thought you were taking me out to play, but you did that ..."

"Well, isn't that great? ..."

"Hm,"

"Yu Bin, don't forget, nothing is what it seems. Just because something looks amazing doesn't mean it's good. That amazing thing can be the darkness itself."

"Ah yes ... like you."

"Ah, hahaha ... yes, like me. However, this is the lesson for today. Never forget that. Nothing is what it seems. You can find light in the darkness, and you can find darkness in the light."

"I understand ... Master, master, ... Master, where did you go? Master? ..... Master. " Yu Bin screamed and woke up.

She realized she had been dreaming and the wise words of her master still echoed in her mind. As she looked around, she saw the darkness of the night outside her window, but she also saw the faint glow of the moonlight shining through.

She understood now that even in the darkest of times, there is always a glimmer of light to guide her. And even in the brightest of moments, there may be shadows lurking in the corners. And with that, she closed her eyes and drifted back to sleep, feeling at peace and ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
