The five people stood in front of Sean. One of the two women briefly glanced at him from head to toe, then turned to look at the fat man.
Being looked at in that way made Sean feel uncomfortable. He was offended. What's more, the person who was staring at him earlier seemed to look down on him.
Sean didn't know who they were and why the woman was treating him that way. However, they looked like people with power.
This was also reinforced by the fat man's reaction, which seemed frightened. Maybe they knew each other. That was good for Sean.
"We meet again, Mr. Hugo," said the woman who had been looking at Sean.
Sean looked at the fat man. The woman had called him by his name. It was obvious that these six people knew each other.
"We got a report about violence in a public place. At first, we didn't think it was you." The tallest man said.
The man named Hugo looked panicked. Then he said, "It's not what you think. I can explain it."
"You are very good at acting."
Another woman came in holding Hugo's wife who looked very messed up. She had several bruises, looked in pain, was confused and crying.
Hugo looked at his wife. His expression changed. There was no more anger that he showed at the poor woman.
"I didn't do that!" said Hugo.
He was about to walk towards his wife, but the tall man held him back. Hugo was annoyed by that. Then looked at Sean and pointed at the man.
"He did it! He was cheating on my wife, and I tried to save her from him." Hugo said very loudly and confidently.
The people around looked at Sean. Some looked at him with pitying eyes. Some looked at him with disgust. It was so easy for them to believe the nonsense of someone they didn't know.
Sean was stunned. He didn't know anything, but immediately felt judged by the gazes of all of them. This wasn't fair.
"I'm just a passerby," Sean quickly denied.
He gave Hugo an annoyed look. How could he say such a thing?
Sean didn't know them. Even today was the first meeting for the three of them.
How could he be accused of being his wife's affair?
This was absurd!
The five people looked at Sean. Then they looked at each other. The tallest man sighed harshly.
"Take them all to the office," said the woman who had been staring at Sean with a dismissive look. She seemed to be their leader.
Then, two men grabbed Hugo and the tallest man took Sean.
"Sir, I don't know anything. I'm not that woman's mistress."
Sean tried to struggle, but the man carrying him was very strong. It was clear that Sean's strength was not enough to fight him.
"Explain at the office," the man said.
"Why at the office? Why not here?"
Sean was still trying to break free. He didn't know what office they were referring to. Maybe a police station? But the uniforms they were wearing were not police uniforms.
This scared Sean. He didn't know where he would be taken and where he would end up.
The man who took him didn't give any answers. He looked very calm.
Sean felt his efforts were in vain. He chose to remain silent. Resigned to the circumstances that would happen to him.
When he was about to be taken by them, Sean had seen their leader chatting with a beautiful girl who was sitting in the same train carriage as him. Sean guessed, that maybe the girl had reported this incident.
Indirectly, the girl had also saved him from Hugo's rage. Because after all, fighting the fat man alone really had no possibility of winning. Unless Sean chose to run away. Like a loser.
But, who exactly were these people?
Sean felt that he had seen the pins on their lapels, but he couldn't remember where. This time his mind was completely stuck.
Arriving at their destination, Sean was immediately taken to a room separate from Hugo and his wife. He was left there alone for almost two hours.
Sean was bored, of course. He couldn't get out. Nor could he ask someone to let him out or simply come to explain what was happening. Even explain what this place was about.
Sean stared at the door in front of him. Other than thinking, that was all he could do for now. He was looking forward to someone opening that door and explaining everything.
As thirty minutes passed, Sean almost died of boredom. He should be on campus right now. Whether it was listening to a lesson, or perhaps being bullied by Arnold and his friends. Either way, he should be on campus, not in this place that he had no idea what it was.
The door suddenly opened. The man who brought him in earlier walked into the room. Sean immediately stood up and approached him. He was going to ask him for an explanation.
"Sir, who are you? And what is this place?" asked Sean.
The man asked Sean to stay calm and sit back down. Sean complied. They sat facing each other.
"First, what's your name, young man?" the man asked.
"Sean. Sean Alfie Edison." Sean answered with some hesitation.
"All right, Sean. My name is Alfred Jackson. You can just call me Mr. Alfred." The man also introduced himself.
Sean just nodded. He didn't want to repeat his question. That was his nature.
"Before I answer all your questions. I want to ask you first," Alfred said.
Sean just looked at him with a confused expression. He should be the one given an explanation as soon as possible, instead of being questioned.
"Do you know Mrs. Emma?"
Sean's brows furrowed.
Mrs. Emma?
Who was she?
As if he could read Sean's mind, Alfred continued his sentence.
"Mrs. Emma is Mr. Hugo's wife. The husband and wife who fought on the subway earlier."
"Ah, them!"
Sean remembered them, but he didn't know the name of the couple. No wonder he was confused.
"I don't know them, sir!" Sean replied with certainty. Because that's the way it was.
"Are you sure?"
Alfred looked incredulous. He gave Sean a probing look. That made Sean a little suspicious.
"Of course, sir! We even met this morning when they were fighting." Sean explained.
Alfred leaned back in the chair. He was still staring at Sean and watching every move of the man.
Sean was almost rendered helpless by Alfred's treatment. He didn't know what to do. Because he didn't understand the current situation.
"Actually, what happened, sir?"
Not wanting to get too lost in the awkwardness, Sean ventured to ask. He looked at Alfred with some hesitation.
A sigh came from Alfred's mouth. He leaned slightly towards Sean.
"Are you sure you don't know Mrs. Emma?" He repeated his question.
Sean's brow furrowed. Not understanding why Alfred was still asking a question he had already answered.
"Of course, sir! I'm sure!" replied Sean. He was starting to feel bad.
"But, Mrs. Emma says that you are her mistress and have been abusing her," Alfred said with an expressionless face.
"What?!"
Sean was shocked beyond belief. He got up from his seat and looked at Alfred in disbelief. This wasn't what he had expected.
Alfred watched Sean's reaction intently. This wasn't the first time he had faced a case like this. It had been many times, with predictable results."Sir, I don't know them. I don't know Mrs. Emma. How can I be accused of being her mistress?" Sean asked. He was visibly unsettled. Ever since he saw the violence Hugo inflicted on Emma, Sean had made up his mind to help her. But what he got now was unexpected. The couple accused him of being Emma's mistress. This made no sense. After all, he was the victim of Rose and Arnold's affair. There was no way he was going to have an affair with Mrs. Emma, who was far away from him in age.Even if he had to have an affair, he would look for a girl more beautiful than Rose. Perhaps one of the two goddesses on campus would be better."I'm just trying to help her from her husband's abuse. That's it!" Sean continued.Alfred sighed. He seemed to know a few things about what happened to Sean."What made you want to help a stranger, young man?" asked Al
After thinking for a while, and getting some advice from Alfred, Sean finally decided to talk to the woman. He would give it a try first.Although he didn't know what the result would be, Sean didn't mind. He also didn't mind if he couldn't persuade Mrs. Emma to retract her statement. As long as the money requested was not more than $5,000, he would be fine.Sean was honestly surprised. Why did Alfred tell him to do this?Shouldn't it be their job to talk to Mrs. Emma, and explain that what she did was wrong?Sean was about to ask Alfred about this, but the man had already gone out of the room. Right after Sean decided to talk to Mrs. Emma. He immediately rushed off.Sean was again left alone. This time he just hoped that everything would go smoothly. He couldn't stand it anymore and wanted to leave this place immediately. In less than ten minutes, the door to the room opened again. Sean saw Alfred carrying Mrs. Emma into the room. He immediately stood up and looked at the woman with
[Name: Sean Alfie Edison][Age: 21 years old][Vitality: D][Points: 600][Add nature element: +]Sean stared at the changes on the screen intently. Then, he recalled what he had gone through that day. Not much. Just stayed in the office of the Women's and Children's Protection Organization and talked with Alfred and Mrs. Emma."I only used the money for food, but why did the points add up so much?" Sean wondered in his mind.He didn't understand what had happened. This system was completely new to him. Even about how it worked, it didn't seem as simple as Sean thought.Sean entered his house. He went straight to his room and lay down on the bed. His mind was still thinking about the five hundred points he had just gotten. Then Sean remembered the name of the mission he had to carry out. It was a nature balance mission, which he thought was a mission to spend the money given by the system. But it was not that simple. Sean began to realize that maybe the mission he had to carry out was
Sean began to turn on the faucet. He let the water just flow. There was a slight hesitation in him.Sean stared at the water in front of him. He didn't know what he should do. Slowly, Sean aimed one hand at the stream of water.Five minutes passed, and nothing changed. The water continued to flow, and Sean continued to stand there."What's going on? Why is there no change?" he thought.Nevertheless, Sean kept trying. Until seven minutes passed, he felt bored. He also felt that his efforts were in vain."Maybe the level should be higher so I can control the flow of water," he said.In the end, Sean gave up. He decided to take a shower. After all was done, he went out to get something to eat.Now he had quite a lot of money. Sean was going to start enjoying real life.He went to his regular fast food joint. As usual the people there were very friendly to him. Sean ordered the food he usually ordered there. Then left after paying and gave them a little more money than he had to pay.The
Sean set up his stance hesitantly. He had never fought before, so it was only natural that he set up his stance carelessly. His hands were already clenched into fists, and he took a position to attack. He made his facial expression as normal as possible. He didn't want to look scared or pitiful in the eyes of these three thugs, who were very arrogant and rude.He already had a strong determination to fight them. As for the outcome, he hoped that he could defeat the three men. Because, in a way, Sean was very curious about the points he would get.Fighting one thief, he got a hundred points. Helping Mrs. Emma from her abusive husband, he got five hundred points. Then, if he managed to defeat these three men, how many points would he get?Sean looked very curious about that. The three men in front of him smiled dismissively. They had beaten people up many times. It might even be their way of life. Therefore, seeing the way Sean set up his stance already made them confident that they wou
Sean stared at the unconscious girl in front of him. He didn't understand why the girl was unconscious after seeing him successfully defeat the three men who wanted to harass her. She should have been happy, not scared.Sean looked at the girl's face intently. The room was only dimly lit, but she looked quite beautiful, even though her face was puffy from crying. Likewise, her body was quite sexy. No wonder the three thugs wanted her. However, it was obvious that the behavior of the three men was unjustified. They indulged in their animal-like lust too much. To the point of causing many parties to suffer losses.Sean's gaze wandered around. The three men, who had underestimated him, were already lying on the floor. He didn't expect to defeat them without much effort. This was a big improvement in Sean's life.He was really happy that he managed to defeat the three of them and save the girl. He really couldn't imagine what would have happened to the girl if he hadn't arrived on time. O
Twenty minutes passed, but the person Sean had called didn't show up. Wendy began to look uncomfortable. She thought about her fate again."Why aren't they here yet?" Wendy ventured to ask."The distance from their office to here is quite far. Please be patient."Sean tried to understand the fear that Wendy felt. He wouldn't do anything bad to her, but it was natural for Wendy to doubt that. In fact, according to Sean, it was a good thing and could be called a form of self-defense."Who exactly did you call?" Wendy looked at Sean intently."Someone from the Women and Children Protection Organization You'll be safe with them," Sean said.Wendy's brow furrowed. She had never heard of the organization. Nor did she know if there was such an organization in Silentfort."It is an organization in charge of protecting women and children who are victims of violence. They will protect you. Take it easy."Sean seemed to be able to read Wendy's mind. Then, he explained to Wendy what a wom
Alfred walked over to the location where Frank Matthew's corpse lay. He crouched down and looked at his condition. Some of his teeth were missing. The bones in his hands were crushed and covered in blood.Alfred sighed harshly. To be honest, he was glad that this fugitive was dead. Frank had committed many unforgivable crimes and had harmed many people. All this time, he was also too good at hiding. Even his family admitted several times that they did not know about his whereabouts. The information from the family made many people think that Frank had fled abroad. No one expected Frank to be in Yulricia. He was too good at disguising himself. Even now, Alfred barely recognizes him. If it wasn't for his partner, he probably would have just missed it.With all the crimes Frank Matthew had committed, Alfred was glad that he was now dead. However, in a way, the origins of Frank's family could not be underestimated, and that made him a little uneasy. Many had dealt with them, and not a few
