Friends Till The End (2)

Kronx kicked the door open. "GET READY!" Kronx yelled to the others, outside there was a bloodbath like the school. There were bodies across the pavement. Rose grabbed me and dived behind a car, I looked at Lucifer. "So, what's the plan?" I asked. "Shhh." Lucifer put a finger to her lips as Mr. Waterworth broke the doors and looked around.

"Are you sure, Aryton?" Brick asked, he rested Aryton against a tree. Aryton looked at him, he was as pale as a ghost. "Yeah… I'm sure." He smiled. Brick aimed a gun in the air, they gathered guns from the nearby dead militia. Brick fired the gun, getting Mr. Waterworth's attention. Brick ran away.

Mr. Waterworth stared at Aryton and charged towards him, particles of dirt and concrete flew behind him.

Rose looked at me. "Do you still have your gun?" She asked and I nodded, pulling my gun out. "Are you ready?"

"As ready as ever." I took the safety off. "Aim at the windows." Rose yelled, Lucifer aimed her gun and fired at a school window, breaking it. Causing Mr. Waterworth to pause and look around.

Rose shot her gun, she backed up into me due to the impact of the gun. I grabbed her. The bullet hit a car window, which lured Mr. Waterworth away from Aryton. He looked confused on why there was tons of noise.

Finn threw a brick into a car, causing the alarm to go off. Mr. Waterworth ran towards the car and kicked it, the car now had a huge dent in it. Maverick threw another brick into another car, Mr. Waterworth. kicked another car, and it began to rain.

Aya stood up on top of a car. "WOOHOO! OVER HERE FATASS!" Aya yelled. My eyes widened. "What the!" I stood up. "WAIT NO IT'S PART OF THE PLAN!" Aya looked away from Mr. Waterworth as he charged towards her.

I ran towards Aya, I grabbed her hand and pulled her down towards me seconds before Mr. Waterworth slammed his fist into the car.

I landed on the concrete, holding on Aya tightly. "It's part of the plan!" Aya yelled. "A stupid one!" I yelled, tears dripping down my face. "MIRA IS GONE! I CAN'T LOSE YOU TOO!" I yelled. A car rammed into Mr. Waterworth, causing him to fall over. Kora honked the horn. "IT STILL WORKED THOUGH!" Kora smirked.

Tears dribbled down Aya's face. "Cody…" she sighed, hugging me. Brick went over to Aryton. "I did absolutely nothing." He sighed and watched them try to beat the biter.

Mr. Waterworth turned around and grabbed the car Kora was in, he grunted and tipped it over. "SHIT!" Kora yelled as the car toppled upside down.

Kora kicked the door, but it was jammed. "Oh fuck." She paused, looking around. Suddenly the car shook violently as Mr. Waterworth jumped on it. The car began to cave in slowly. "SHIT!" Kora tried to get out.

Bandy threw the meat tenderizer at Mr. Waterworth. "OI FUCK FACE!" He yelled, he ran towards him, claws shot out of his fingers. He jumped over the car and scratched him across the chest, he roared in pain and backed off the car.

Bandy looked at Aya and I. "There's biters heading our way, handle them." He yelled. I nodded. Lucifer ran over to us. "Come. We will take them on and buy Bandy and Kora time to handle that fucker." Lucifer mumbled as they ran towards the front gate, the gate used to be there. But it was broken due to the biters.

I aimed my gun at the incoming biters and fired, killing a couple of them. Lucifer shot a biter, causing it to slide against the pavement. Aya aimed her gun, her hands were shaking. "You can do it." Lucifer looked at her, Aya aimed it at a biter who was running straight at us. She fired, the first bullet hit its chest, then she aimed again and shot it in the head.

Maverick and Finn ran over to help Kora and Kronx. Kora kicked and broke the windshield within a couple of hits. She crawled out as soon as Mr. Waterworth kicked the car in anger, causing it to flip over.

Rose went over to Aryton and Brick so that she could keep Aryton alive. A biter ran towards Rose, she aimed the gun and fired it. Killing the biter. Aryton blinked; his ears were ringing.

Brick aimed his gun and shot a biter, Mr. Waterworth swung his arms around. One of the arms hit Maverick, which sent him flying. "MAVERICK!" Finn yelled as he watched his friend collide into a car.

Mr. Waterworth swung at Finn, Kronx went in front of Finn and grabbed Mr. Waterworth's hand, digging his feet into the pavement. "FIND A BETTER WEAPON THAN BRICKS!" Kronx yelled, Finn nodded and checked on Maverick. "I'm fine." Maverick coughed. "I'm just winded out dude." He chuckled.

Finn nodded and began to search the bodies of biters. Kora shot at the monster; the bullets bounced off. "Tsk." The monster turned its head to look at Kora, Mr. Waterworth reacted by swinging his other arm. Kora acted quickly and used her arms to protect her chest.

Her arms broke within the hit, and she was sent flying into the school's wall. She didn't necessarily get through the wall, she slid down, coughing out blood.

Mr. Waterworth swung Kronx away from him and charged towards Kora. Bandy ran towards him, his claws out as he swung at him again, trying to save Kora. He swung his arms, causing Bandy to fly back. Kronx landed on his feet, he looked up and down. "Shit!" Kronx ran towards Mr. Waterworth.

Hayden just laid there. Aryton looked at him. "You're a dickwad. You know that, right?" He responded with a grunt.

Bandy's eyes widened. "KORA!" He yelled. She looked up at Mr. Waterworth. "Go to hell." She snickered and aimed her gun at Mr. Waterworth, she fired the last bullet in her gun which entered through Mr. Waterworth who screamed in anger. In response he kicked Kora into the concrete, which killed her. "NOOO!" Bandy landed on his feet. Kronx's eyes widened. "Fuck!"

I looked over, witnessing Kora die. "SHIT!" Lucifer looked at me. "J-Just focus on the incoming biters." She sounded unsure about winning this fight. Rose noticed that the gates were jammed into the dirt. "Help me!" Rose snickered, Aya nodded. I aimed my gun at a biter, but my gun clicked. "I'm out!" I yelled and ran over to help Rose and Aya with the gate. Lucifer covered us with her gun, firing at a biter.

We finally got the gates out of the dirt and pulled it towards us, our arms ached badly. Rose let go as soon as we were almost done. She went over to the other side and shoved the gates against the lock, the gate slightly locked, but it was enough to keep the biters out.

My eyes widened and I tried to grab Rose. Rose looked at me and smiled. "I'll lure them away." I tried to grab Rose again, she grabbed my hand and smiled. "Thank you." She turned around and aimed her gun into the air, firing the rest of her ammunition in the air.

"ROSE!" I yelled; the biters turned towards her. She yelled a few other words and ran away; I couldn't hear though because of her own yelling.

Rose ran off with the biters following close behind. Lucifer rested a hand on my shoulder. "I'm so-" I shoved her away as gently as I could. Aya just watched us, tears running down her face. "Cody…" Lucifer tried again but I shoved her away. "Go."

Lucifer sighed and hugged me tightly. "I know how it feels." She whispered, I stopped and looked down. "Yeah… I know…" Aya went over and just joined the hug.

Aryton couldn't watch anymore, so he stood up. He used all his strength; he began stumbling towards Mr. Waterworth, Finn found a grenade. "I FOUND A GRENADE!" Finn yelled and pulled the pin. "FUCK YOU!" He screamed and threw it towards Mr. Waterworth.

Mr. Waterworth turned his head and stared at Aryton. Aryton stared at the grenade, he caught it and ran at Mr. Waterworth. Aryton jumped up and shoved his arm into his mouth, who chomped down onto his arm, he winced in pain as the grenade blew up, it was a bigger explosion than we thought, Aryton and Mr. Waterworth were both engulfed by the explosion. Once the smoke cleared up Aryton was nowhere to be seen, Mr. Waterworth's head was gone, he stumbled and fell.

I watched the whole scene and limped over, the fire from the school created ash. Ash fell and it looked like snow. "ARYTON!" I yelled; we began to search for Aryton as the battle was now over.

"ARYTONN!" Brick yelled, Kronx called out for him. Finn helped Maverick up. "Are your legs okay?" He asked, Maverick nodded. "Yeah."

Finn was worried so he just helped him, Lucifer yelled. "I FOUND HIM!" She screamed. I ran over like my life depended on it, Aya followed me, though she was faster because of my leg.

My eyes widened and I stared at Aryton, Aya gasped in horror and looked away, Brick frowned and hugged Aya. Aryton's legs were missing and his left arm, which was bitten off Mr. Waterworth.

Aryton seems drowsy, but we all knew he was nearing his passing. "Did I do it?" He mumbled quietly, I went over and grabbed his hand, I kneeled slowly, wincing. "Y-yeah… you did it… it's over." I smiled, Aryton smiled, blood flowed down both sides of his mouth. "Thank… god." Brick let go of Aya and went over. "H-Hey dude." He kneeled. Aryton coughed out blood. "I think it's time." Brick looked at me, I nodded.

Brick handed me his gun and I stared at Aryton. "Hey Cody…." Aryton looked at me. "Yeah…?" I teared up. "You're a good friend." He smiled. "I… wished… I was… your friend… sooner…" he slowly stopped breathing, I looked at Aryton. "Ary?" I looked at him. "Come on…" I stood up and aimed the gun at his head; my hands shook, and the tears flooded my vision.

"I-I'm sorry…" I muttered; I was about to pull the trigger, but Kronx stopped me. I looked at Kronx, though I couldn't see him well due to my vision. "Kronx…" Kronx looked at me. "Call me Knox from now on." He spoke. "Let me do it." Knox sighed and aimed the gun at Aryton. "A promise is a promise…" I tried to grab the gun, but Knox shook his head. "We're all friends, we get to share each other's burdens now." He aimed his gun. "I'm sorry, brother." He pulled the trigger, it was over. Aryton was gone, Kora was gone, Rose was gone, everyone we mostly knew was gone.

Aya hugged me tightly. I looked at her, wiping the tears from my eyes. "We should go find our parents now." Aya said. Lucifer looked at us. "Are you guys sure you don't need to be escorted safely?" She asked.

"No. We will be fine." Aya smiled. "Yeah, I gotta find my parents as well." Finn said. Knox picked up Hayden. "I have to tend to this dumbass at home, our mom might be worried sick." Knox sighed.

"You guys stay safe out there." Bandy said. "What will you do?" I looked at Bandy. "I want to create a safe haven for demis like me." Bandy smiled.

Lucifer went over and unlocked the gate. "We will all see each other again, right?" She asked. I looked up at her. "Yeah, we will." I smiled. Lucifer smiled and patted me. "You two are so young and brave, survive this. If I ever see you two as biters, I will whoop your ass." Lucifer smiled. I began to walk, Aya followed. Lucifer waved, I looked at her and waved back at her.

"I'll need some cuddling from Vincent after this." Aya whispered. "I heard that." I looked at her. "Yeah, I know." She smiled.

Lucifer watched them walk away, smiling. She looked at Finn and Maverick. "Come on guys. Let's go." Finn looked at us and then at Lucifer. "Are you sure they will be fine?" He asked, Lucifer nodded. "Yep, I have a gut feeling that they will survive all the way through." She smiled. Maverick nodded. "I agree, they seem capable for their age." Brick pointing at himself. "What about me?"

"You are an exception!" Finn joked and Brick smiled. "I guess so."

Brick watched Aya and I get further away. "Please stay alive." He muttered. Lucifer smiled. "Let's go." She walked, Finn and Maverick followed. Knox walked with Bandy. "I'd like to join the safe haven you have planned." He smiled; Bandy smiled. "You will?"

"Yeah." Knox smiled. "One day, I will see you with a safe haven for demis and everyone." He smiled. "You bet." Bandy chuckled and reached his arm out for a fist bump. Knox smiled and raised his hand, he fists bumped Bandy.
