CHAPTER SIXTY FOUR.

Emilia and her husband were both Sitting in the garden, they seemed to be having a serious conversation when Nick walked up to them.

“Hey baby” his mum said, “I thought you were already asleep”

“No mum, l can’t sleep,” Nick answered sincerely.

“Come, sit”

He sat in between them then placed his head on his mother’s shoulder,

“What’s wrong son?” Winston asked in a concerned tone.

“I am scared mum”

“Why?”

Ever since they got United, this was the first time she saw fear in the eyes of her son. It was a different kind of fear that none of them could fathom and with the way his body was shaking, she understood he was pretty scared.

“Talk to us son”

“I am afraid that a day will come that I will no longer have any human sympathy left. I am scared that a day will come when all the humanity in me will be replaced with nothing but ruthlessness”
