Chapter 7

Dizon looked confident. He was very sure that Naura would be interested in his offer. He knew that Naura wanted the contract.

Meanwhile, Naura looked at Dizon with annoyance. Dizon's words were as if she was demeaning herself. "I want that contract, but something like that will never happen." Naura gave another refusal.

Lyla folded her arms with a cynical smile. She knew that Naura was just pretending to reject Dizon. Lyla was also sure that Dizon hated her so much that Dizon only gave bad words to demean Naura.

"You don't need to pretend. I know this is your main goal. Come and make advances to Dizon to get what you want. How embarrassing." Lyla gave Naura another insult. She was sure that Dizon still hated Naura even though she had become a beautiful woman.

Dizon walked closer. He looked at Naura's face from a close distance. But this made Lyla feel jealous. Naura stepped back, giving her some space.

Lyla tapped her foot hard. "I know, you're just pretending to refuse because I'm here. Otherwise, of course, you would have immediately accepted Dizon's offer. Disgusting." Lyla looked at Naura sarcastically. She didn't like seeing Dizon's very intense gaze towards Naura.

Dizon ignored Lyla's remark. He was still staring at Nuara's face with admiration. To him, Naura was a gorgeous woman. "Naura, hurry up and come with me. Then you'll get the contract quickly, too."

Naura was eager to leave their presence, but she wanted to convince Dizon to still get the contract without a disgusting relationship. When Naura gave a distance, Dizon immediately pulled Naura's hand and held it firmly.

At the same time, Zachary came to catch up with Naura. He saw the man who harassed Naura. Zachary immediately let go of Dizon's hand and pushed her.

Dizon stared angrily. "Damn it! How dare you push me like that! Who are you?" Dizon shouted. His gaze looked sharp with fiery eyes, but at this time, Dizon saw Zachary, who pulled Naura until the two were close together, which made Dizon feel jealous.

Dizon rolled up his sleeves. An unknown man took the woman he wanted.

"You have dared to push me, and you will soon receive the consequences," Dizon spoke by stepping closer. He raised his hand and wanted to give Zachary a fist.

Zachary caught the hand and turned the tables by punching Dizon. It was only a small punch, but it made Dizon's lips bleed.

He felt the salty, warm liquid coming out and immediately wiped it away. "Damn it!" Dizon swore again. His jaw hardened with his teeth chattering.

The few people who saw this made Dizon extremely embarrassed. He gazed towards the outer door and saw several guards just silent. "Hey, come quickly! What are you doing there?"

Several guards immediately entered in a hurry and were confused.  

Dizon looked at the few guards angrily. "Why did you let that man enter this company so carelessly? You should have detained him and sent him away!" Dizon's voice was so loud that it echoed throughout the room.

Some guards were scared by Dizon's anger, unlike Zachary, who looked very relaxed. Naura looked afraid that something bad would happen to Zachary.

Lyla smiled happily at this heated situation. Thus, this would make Naura's situation even worse and humiliated.

In a different room. Earlier, Jeremy received a message from Zachary stating that his wife would be coming to the company. Until now, he was anxiously awaiting the arrival of the marshal's wife.

"Has the marshal's wife arrived yet? Why is it taking so long?" He muttered, his face looking tense.

Jeremy felt his heart pounding again, which made him uneasy.

Although Jeremy had prepared everything regarding the signing of the contract that Zachary's future wife would sign, he made sure everything would go well.

The sound of the phone ringing made Jeremy answer it immediately. Before Jeremy could speak, he heard the voice of the information desk on the other end of the line. "Mr. Jeremy, someone has made a mess in the office."

Jeremy became upset. He was also afraid that this would make a bad impression on their big guest, who would be arriving soon.

Jeremy switched off the phone without saying anything. He quickly got up from his oversized chair and walked out of the room. After getting down to the ground floor, Jeremy saw several guards lying there.

Jeremy immediately approached. "What has happened? " Jeremy pulled Lyla's hand. He had previously stated to Lyla that a big guest would be coming, but it turned out that he was also involved, which made Jeremy angry and slapped him hard.

"Mr. Jeremy, the commotion happened because of these two people. And that man is the one causing the riot here." Lyla held her cheek, pointing at Naura's face and the man who had his back to them.

Jeremy stared at the man in front of him until the moment the man turned around, making Jeremy gasp and immediately maintain his attitude. He did not expect to be confronted with Zachary in a situation like this.

"what happened?" Jeremy spoke in a stammering voice. He should have been able to welcome the guest he had been waiting for, but the unexpected happened.

Zachary shot Jeremy a sharp look. "They have acted disrespectfully to my future wife," Zachary said firmly.

The tension was up to Jeremy's neck.

Jeremy glared at Lyla and Dizon, who had just gotten up. Then he looked back at Zachary respectfully. "Sir, I'm sorry. Nothing like this should have happened. I assure you they will be fired immediately today."

Lyla and Dizon were shocked by Jeremy's words. With shuffling steps, Dizon approached and put her hands together. "Please don't fire me. I think there's a mistake here. I didn't know about them. And I'm sorry." Dizon pleaded, but Jeremy ignored the plea.

"Mr. Jeremy, please don't fire me. I'm completely innocent." Lyla clasped her hands together. She had tears in her eyes and was very scared. But no one cared about her.

"Sir, please forgive me for this unpleasant incident," Jeremy said softly. His heart was filled with worry.

At this moment, Jeremy looked at Naura. "Miss Naura, come to my room. All the paperwork regarding the cooperation contract has been prepared, and you only need to sign it."

Naura was quite surprised by this. Previously, she thought that she would fail to get a cooperation contract after the riot in the office occurred. But not. She was invited directly by the CEO to come to his room.

Naura nodded and agreed. Meanwhile, Zachary chose to wait for her in the car.

Jeremy opened the door to the room. "Please, Miss Naura." Jeremy invited her gently. Naura smiled and walked into the CEO's room.

By now, they were facing each other while a document had been prepared before Naura.

"Please read it and sign it here." Jeremy pointed towards several places that Naura had to sign.

Naura nodded. She read and found that she did not only get a cooperation contract of seventy million dollars that had been proposed. But it was written with one hundred million dollars, making Naura very happy. She immediately signed all the documents until the contract had taken place.
