New Life
Suddenly, my smile faded and I became lost in my thoughts. “These aren’t zombies. They’re something else,” I said, my voice trailing off.

“You speak of it as if you know something about it” He awaited answers.

“First, we are going to find the rest of the contestants, then we will discuss my doubts!” I answered him, we went from one hut to another one and searched, there were skulls in every single hut, cobwebs, and cockroaches in all of them.

But a fresh apple in the first hut was a sign there were people alive there. When we decided to visit the last hut on the village front, it was empty, just like the other ones, but on my way out, I stumbled into a crack on the floor.

“Looks like you found something!” He said.

It was a trapdoor, when we stepped in, we decided to close the door behind us, there were two skeletons holding hands. They probably died here, then we saw a trunk nearby, it was mechanical, but the lock on it seemed familiar, it looked just like the one on my dad’s wall
