"So, did Asher really go through all of this just to make the vein explode?" I asked, still trying to wrap my head around everything.

"Exactly. The chemical inside you was causing your frequent nausea, but now that it's gone, you won't have to deal with that anymore," Veronica explained.

Enzo, looking visibly scared, asked, "Is it some kind of poison or acid? Will it harm her?"

Veronica reassured him, saying, "No, if it were an acid, it would have already caused damage to the vein and made its way out.

This substance won't harm her in any way."

Feeling confused and still searching for answers, I asked, "But why was it in my body? What am I?"

Kai interrupted, suggesting, "I think you should talk to your mother about this."

"I don't know how we're going to do that because the last thing I know is that the hidden city disappeared," I said, leaving the room feeling lost.

"You need to see this!" Ella exclaimed, running toward me.

She took me to my room and replayed the last video, rewindin
