Soldiers returned to the headquarters, cheering and shouting in celebration.

I couldn't help but smile, feeling glad to see them happy after constantly being consumed by thoughts of battle.

However, our relief was short-lived as Caleb came running toward the city.

I asked him what had happened, and he caught his breath before explaining everything.

"They left us tied up with a wounded soldier. When we woke up, I asked him what happened, and he told me that one of them cut open a wound on his palm and pressed it against his own wound.

This caused a strange burning sensation to spread throughout his body, as if someone had sprinkled chili on his wounds. Then, he suddenly went blind right in front of us."

"By the time we tried to escape, he had transformed into a creeper and his behavior completely changed.

He was incredibly fast, and we couldn't catch him.

Unfortunately, he managed to bite another soldier before making his escape.
