Traitor

I collapsed on the invisible stairs. I realized it was the same day I had gone there to warn the unseen.

Upon returning to my rooftop and descending through the pipe, the island vanished with a ripple effect, as if it were being swallowed by an invisible body of water.

"I almost started rooting for you, Zaria! You impressed me that much!" Asher faked disappointment.

"But this video of your betrayal, your warning to the unseen, was a treacherous act and a reminder of why I chose to suppress women."

The crowd began throwing their shoes at me, and I had never felt so humiliated in my entire life.

I had no clue how I had become a mere puppet in their hands, but I desperately tried to defend myself.

"Okay!" I shouted, "At least take a look at both sides of the picture!" I yelled in my defense.

"The unseen are not some monsters or aliens!" However, as soon as those words left my mouth, a wave of chatter erupted among the crowd.
