Trisha’s eyes widened upon hearing that question. She froze and looked away, trying to avoid Oliver’s gaze.

“No, I don’t,” she denied.

Oliver held her arm, his grip in the balance between authority and gentleness.

“You can fool anyone but not me,” he said, his tone dangerously low. “You remember something, and that’s why you can’t even bring yourself out of the mansion.”

Trisha gasped. As much as she wanted to deny, Oliver was right.

It was a faint memory—something she wasn’t even sure whether it really happened or not.

But her intuition says it did.

“Asshole! You’re the reason why she’s being like this! How could you even blame an innocent man?!” Carolina exclaimed, referring to Zayne. “Just get out here, will you—”

Before Carolina finished her sentence, Oliver pulled Trisha inside the Henverton mansion, and although it was locked, he easily opened it.

“H-How…” Carolina muttered, the shock evident in her eyes. “Wait… Why did you go inside? That’s trespassing!”

This asshole is the one at fault.”Oliver’s gaze went back to Jay, who looked infuriated because of his sudden appearance.“What the fuck? Why are you always messing with my plans?!” Jay exclaimed, the frustration evident in his voice.“You’re not even his real boyfriend! I promise you that.”“Hmm?” Oliver raised a brow. “But this is the second time. How can I trust you?”“I-I…” Jay trailed off, not knowing what to say. “I will transfer to a different town! I swear—”Before Jay could finish his sentence, Oliver pulled him by the collar before slamming him again on the floor.“You dare lie to me despite pleading? Both of us know you can’t leave this town,” Oliver stated, his tone dangerously low.Hearing Oliver’s words only made Jay tremble more.‘He’s right. “Sure,” Oliver answered without hesitation. “Where are you right now? I’ll come to you.”“No,” Ryan refused on the other line. “Let’s meet at the same place you met me before?”Raising an eyebrow, Oliver asked, “That restaurant?”“Yes,” Ryan affirmed. “To be honest, I feel that someone has been monitoring me since I met you, and I know what they want—you.”Hearing those words, Oliver bit his lower lip. It was certain that Zayne already knew about his allying with Ryan.He didn’t even expect Zayne to gain information that fast; it made him want to believe that Zayne wasn’t doing things alone. His superior was also moving this time, so his plan already worked. But it’s not enough.“No need to worry about me. I can handle myself,” Oliver reassured, sensing the concern in Ryan’s voice. “He can’t do anything bad about me. I still have the thing he needed.”It was the necklace, and although Oliver didn’t know exactly how Zayne would use it for his gains, it was his current ace.“Still, you

I’ll go there.”“He’s at the Umbrella Hospital, Commander,” Melissa answered.Oliver thought Melissa said the room number, but she didn’t. So, he asked, “What room?”Still, Melissa didn’t reply. He could only hear her sighing on the other line.“Melissa, I said, what room?” Oliver asked again, his tone being impatient this time.“There is no room…” Melissa muttered, She didn’t know how to tell Oliver what she discovered but still went through it.“He is at the morgue, Commander.”Oliver almost let go of his phone and stumbled to the floor. You’re stupid, so how could you understand?” the man said harshly. “You didn’t take anything out of control. You did the opposite, Zayne.” Without waiting for Zayne to answer, the man already ended the call. Zayne, on the other hand, was frozen in his spot. The phone was still on his right hand despite the call ended for a few minutes now. “What the hell…” Zayne muttered, still not understanding anything. “I thought it would make him happy, but he’s mad?” Not being able to control his emotions anymore, Zayne throws the phone on the wall, creating a cracking sound. “That bastard. Just because he’s superior to me, he’s treating me like trash?” Zayne whispered, gritting his teeth. “After all the things I did for this fucking plan?!” As if the destroyed phone wasn't enough, Zayne threw the other things on the floor—such as his flower vase, monitor, a

The betrayal felt like hot water upon his skin.“Yeah. You hear it right. I’m one of them,” said Melvin in a mocking tone. “But I’m not the one who hurt Seraphine. It was the mere reason she got dizzy after consuming it.Seraphine knew how many people were waiting for her to mess up, so she could throw her from the Capital Hall. This could be the greatest opportunity for those people to fire her from Capital Hall. And that’s the last thing Seraphine wanted to happen.“Wait…” Seraphine suddenly stopped in her tracks, realizing that she overlooked a major detail. “No one saw the CCTV footage?”At that time, she was certain that Oliver already left the storage area, and it meant that the member who helped him, whoever it was, left the Capital Hall as well.‘If that’s the case… could someone

"I never meant to disappear. I never meant to leave you."Hearing the sincerity in Oliver’s voice, her resolve faltered for a brief moment, but the anger quickly returned."You think saying that will make this right?" she spat. "You vanished, Oliver. For three years, we thought you were dead. Do you know what that did to us?"Oliver's jaw clenched. He had imagined this conversation countless times, but nothing prepared him for the pain in Seraphine’s eyes.He even overlooked the fact that Seraphine said the word ‘us’ instead of ‘me’."I didn’t choose to leave. I was set up," he admitted. "That mission… It was a trap. Someone wanted me dead. And when I woke up, I had no memory of who I was.”Oliver paused, and spoke again,

It was the same thing with Zayne Greensmith’s documents.“I wonder why this place is restricted to janitors.
