Trisha’s eyes widened upon hearing that question. She froze and looked away, trying to avoid Oliver’s gaze.

“No, I don’t,” she denied.

Oliver held her arm, his grip in the balance between authority and gentleness.

“You can fool anyone but not me,” he said, his tone dangerously low. “You remember something, and that’s why you can’t even bring yourself out of the mansion.”

Trisha gasped. As much as she wanted to deny, Oliver was right.

It was a faint memory—something she wasn’t even sure whether it really happened or not.

But her intuition says it did.

“Asshole! You’re the reason why she’s being like this! How could you even blame an innocent man?!” Carolina exclaimed, referring to Zayne. “Just get out here, will you—”

Before Carolina finished her sentence, Oliver pulled Trisha inside the Henverton mansion, and although it was locked, he easily opened it.

“H-How…” Carolina muttered, the shock evident in her eyes. “Wait… Why did you go inside? That’s trespassing!”

She tried to open the g

Rebecca trusts Oliver, so she believes that claim instead of Carolina’s statement that Oliver was the one who kidnapped Trisha.Strangely, Rebecca felt that the same thing happened to her, although she couldn’t remember anything related to that.“Here, Ma’am,” the bartender said, snapping Rebecca from her thoughts.“Thank you.” Rebecca smiled and took the wine glass from the bartender’s grasp.Rebecca drank it in a few gulps, followed by someone sitting beside her.“Take it easy. Jay’s brows furrowed, his expression mixed with confusion and anger.“Who the fuck—”His words halted upon seeing a familiar man in the same room as them.“Oliver?”“Didn’t I warn you before not to do things like this?” Oliver asked. Then, his gaze moved to the sachet he was holding. “That trick again?”“Again?” Rebecca asked, frowning. “This happened before.”“This is why I told you not to trust him, Rebecca,” Oliver said, his hand gripping onto Jay’s collar. “But I’m not blaming you. This asshole is the one at fault.”Oliver’s gaze went back to Jay, who looked infuriated because of his sudden appearance.“What the fuck? Why are you always messing with my plans?!” Jay exclaimed, the frustration evident in his voice.“You’re not even his real boyfriend! Why do you always interfere—”Before Jay could answer his question, Oliver punched him in the face, making Jay stumble on the ground.“Because I’m a decent man, punk,” Oliver muttered, the side of his lips curving upward.“You bastard

A few minutes later, Jay was badly beaten up.His eyes were almost closed and his body was trembling badly, given how many punches Oliver gave him.Not being able to see and think straight anymore, Jay kneeled on the floor.“I-I’m sorry… I won’t do it again,” Jay said, his tone low and pleading. “Please let me go… I won’t go near Rebecca. I promise you that.”“Hmm?” Oliver raised a brow. “But this is the second time. How can I trust you?”“I-I…” Jay trailed off, not knowing what to say. “I will transfer to a different town! I swear—”Before Jay could finish his sentence, Oliver pulled him by the collar before slamming him again on the floor.“You dare lie to me despite pleading? Both of us know you can’t leave this town,” Oliver stated, his tone dangerously low.Hearing Oliver’s words only made Jay tremble more.‘He’s right. Dad will probably kill me if I leave all the businesses in this town…’ he thought. ‘But how did Oliver know about it?’“I’m giving you another chance, and remembe

“Sure,” Oliver answered without hesitation. “Where are you right now? I’ll come to you.”“No,” Ryan refused on the other line. “Let’s meet at the same place you met me before?”Raising an eyebrow, Oliver asked, “That restaurant?”“Yes,” Ryan affirmed. “To be honest, I feel that someone has been monitoring me since I met you, and I know what they want—you.”Hearing those words, Oliver bit his lower lip. It was certain that Zayne already knew about his allying with Ryan.He didn’t even expect Zayne to gain information that fast; it made him want to believe that Zayne wasn’t doing things alone. His superior was also moving this time, so his plan already worked. But it’s not enough.“No need to worry about me. I can handle myself,” Oliver reassured, sensing the concern in Ryan’s voice. “He can’t do anything bad about me. I still have the thing he needed.”It was the necklace, and although Oliver didn’t know exactly how Zayne would use it for his gains, it was his current ace.“Still, you

“What is it?” Oliver asked, his brows furrowing.“Ryan Williams got into an accident,” Melissa confessed, still looking at her computer screen. “His car hit a tree on the side, and… exploded.”Hearing those words, Oliver froze.“Where is he right now?” Oliver asked, trying to maintain his composure. “Send me the location. I’ll go there.”“He’s at the Umbrella Hospital, Commander,” Melissa answered.Oliver thought Melissa said the room number, but she didn’t. So, he asked, “What room?”Still, Melissa didn’t reply. He could only hear her sighing on the other line.“Melissa, I said, what room?” Oliver asked again, his tone being impatient this time.“There is no room…” Melissa muttered, She didn’t know how to tell Oliver what she discovered but still went through it.“He is at the morgue, Commander.”Oliver almost let go of his phone and stumbled to the floor. Thankfully, there was a wall behind him he could lean on for support.“I have evidence for it. I’ll go to you now.”“I’m sure it

Zayne tilted his head, the confusion evident in his face. “I don’t understand what you’re talking about, Sir.” “Of course, you won’t. You’re stupid, so how could you understand?” the man said harshly. “You didn’t take anything out of control. You did the opposite, Zayne.” Without waiting for Zayne to answer, the man already ended the call. Zayne, on the other hand, was frozen in his spot. The phone was still on his right hand despite the call ended for a few minutes now. “What the hell…” Zayne muttered, still not understanding anything. “I thought it would make him happy, but he’s mad?” Not being able to control his emotions anymore, Zayne throws the phone on the wall, creating a cracking sound. “That bastard. Just because he’s superior to me, he’s treating me like trash?” Zayne whispered, gritting his teeth. “After all the things I did for this fucking plan?!” As if the destroyed phone wasn't enough, Zayne threw the other things on the floor—such as his flower vase, monitor, a

Right now, we need to go over what we pulled from Argus Industries.”Oliver tried to make his voice calm and teasing, making sure he won’t completely ruin the vibe. However, Samuel, who was the most observant in their group, noticed the expression Oliver was trying to conceal.Fear. Worry. Anger.‘But not toward Legion V,’ Samuel thought, and he was certain about it. ‘Maybe it was because of what they found in the office.’“Ugh,” Nick groaned, dramatically flopping onto the couch. He added, “Commander, do we have to do work stuff already as soon as we reach the hideout? Can’t we pretend to be normal for like… five minutes?”Oliver raised an eyebrow.“You want normal? It was only an illusion. But if you look closely…”James’ face leaned toward the window, his eyes narrowing.“It was still the same car. The exterior and interior, everything.”Upon hearing those words, Samuel smirked.“You really have a keen eye just like your broth

“They might have replicated it.”That was Dominic’s realization as his gaze fixated on the folder, his eyes narrowing.“Oliver might not have taken the file, but it doesn’t mean he didn’t know about the information already.”The file was already on his fingertips. He could have just taken it instead of only creating a copy of it.Which means there could be a reason.‘He wanted me to be worried and wonder how much he knew,’ Dominic thought, clenching his fists. And damn, that was so effective. At that moment, there is only one question going through Dominic’s mind, and that is where he should transfer the files so no one else could find it again.***Meanwhile, at the Legion’s headquarters, Charlie was sitting on the chair with both his feet resting on the table.Tons of files were in front of him—something he needed to review as the CEO before the company makes a move on it.And the current file in his hand… was all about what Dominic had given to him a few days before.[Partnership B

The next thing Legion V needed to find out was the reason for the partnership.“You’re right, but trust is earned, not given,” Oliver said, his eyes burning with determination.“And we’re going to see whether Charlie is deserving of that trust or not.”***Meanwhile, Dominic had just returned to Argus Industries. He was out of Colossia earlier to meet with a client, but he ended it abruptly upon receiving a text message from his right-hand man.[Argus Industries has been compromised.
