Pedaling my bicycle to school the next day, I reflected on my new mission. I had left my car parked at my new house near the school, not wanting to attract unnecessary attention. In my backpack, I carried around $20,000, a small portion of the war chest I had allocated for my karma-balancing quest. The goal was clear: earn approximately 16,666 karma points daily to meet my monthly target of 500,000.

As I rode, I remembered the beggars frequently seen at traffic lights, a potential opportunity to earn some positive karma. However, when I stopped at a red light, I noticed three beggars, one cradling a baby, all with green auras above their heads. No red. This puzzled me.
