"Not much," I answered, already sensing where this was heading. At a red light, I stopped the car.

"Give me $500. Jenny will pay you back later," he demanded.

A dark mark suddenly appeared about 20 cm above Jenny's father's head. I quickly analyzed it, and a screen appeared in front of me:

[This man is asking for $500 for gambling and drinking. If you give him money, it will result in negative karma as you are enabling his greed and addiction.]

The light turned green, and I continued to drive. "I am sorry, sir, I'm afraid I don't have that much money. I just made a big purchase," I lied tactfully.

"How much do you have?" he pressed.

"$200," I replied, playing along.

"Alright, give me $200 then," he demanded.

"I can only give you $100. I need to have some cash on hand in case of emergencies," I explained, trying to limit the damage while still showing some form of compliance.
