Inside Senator's meeting room, where the powerful figure often gathered, a wealthy city figure sat with the senator. The air was heavy with the scent of red wine and the faint whiff of expensive cigars.

"Do you really think you can secure the election for Mayor this time?" the rich man asked, his gaze sharp and calculating.

Christopher Senior, exuding confidence, chuckled heartily. "My entire party is behind me. Howard, my political adversary aiming for the Mayor's seat, is merely wasting his resources on a hopeless campaign."

"What about the survey polls?" The rich man leaned in, his interest evident. "I don't invest in losing ventures."

Christopher's eyes twinkled with certainty. "I'm leading with 51%, Howard's at a mere 32%, according to the latest city newspaper poll. Rest assured, Kelvin, your investment is safe. Once I'm Mayor, a major construction project will be yours."
