177 – Priority

Cody has tried various ways. From making a vehicle with reinforced armor, making a creature that looks like a big fish, using another route, to the ridiculous thing like using a large peace flag. However, all failed. The light beam always destroyed whatever Cody made to come to the kingdom.

It lasted for months and, of course, made everything worse. Many former commander candidates had died because their bodies could no longer survive.

In a hospital in Zeno’s town, Cody went to a room. He found Randy sitting near the bed.

Luna was lying on the bed and she didn’t look like a human anymore. Almost all of her skin was peeled off and the only remaining limb was her left leg. She was unconscious, with various tubes connected to her body, including a breathing apparatus.

Cody didn’t dare say anything to Randy. After all, Cody was one of the most responsible people in this project. He had to get a sample of the remnant in the kingdom.

“Please, Cody.” Randy spoke without looking at that man.
