THE HELL WITH THE DEMON KINGS - DILEMMA

"well, that is the gist of it"

"so, you are saying that the celestial creature of the lower level tried to kill the unique and swallow him to absorb his power"

"so you went and save him"

"but by the time you went there, he was already dead."

the four demon kings are sitting at a round table and discussing the matters about what happened back on the surface in a little bit of detail while Solomon was explaining.

"so,... what do you think…. what do we do?"

as everyone was talking, Solomon asks them with a bit of a tensed face and sweat on the forehead.

then Dante answers

"what do you mean by that? it is a pity that he died. if he were to join us that would help us since we are quite a pickle at the moment."

"We could've changed into a demon if he were alive. but now that he idea. what can we do?"

"it certainly is true. since no host until now were able to use the power of the heavenly dragon."

the three of them were discussing among themselves as the servants were watching over them. only lucifer servants were a bit tense since they already know what was going to happen now.

Solomon raises his hand and says

"I am thinking of bringing him back to life and turning him into a devil."

"ahhh? do you even know what you are talking about? there is no way you can bring him back to life unless healer zodiac helps you or if use….., don't tell me…"

when you were talking her eyes became big as if she realized what he was talking about. then Solomon said as everybody was watching their conversation

"I wanna use the miracle sphere"

everybody in the room including the servants except for lucifer servants were shocked that they looked terrified at just the thought of it. as cold sweat was dripping from their chins

*bham*

Dante hits the table with his fist out of anger. and talks

"don't joke around, Solomon!!!! you are going to use the ultimate treasure to bring a kid back to life!!!!?"

then following him Aoi continues followed by Alphonse

"that is our only last resort against the celestial creatures when our main island is about to fall. we definitely cannot use that, you idiot!!!!"

"Just think about it, Solomon. right now, the celestial creatures are trying to take over the world. the heaven and hell are in chaos. the zodiac guardians are in crumbles. the miracle sphere is the only thing that can save us if the worst-case scenario takes place. we need that right now, if we don't save it up we cannot even save this island let alone the entire underworld."

Alphonse says this with a tense face. even the calmest and calculative person such as him had also lost his cool. such is the word that Solomon says.

"..."

Solomon stays silent after everybody said with a serious expression and starts to talk after taking a deep breath.

"just like you guys said the entire heaven and hell are in chaos and due to that the human realm is also getting affected. who knows even this kid might be a victim as well. but, just think about it. he is one of the heavenly dragon hosts. if we to bring him back to life and turn him a devil. he could save the entire hell. he might become the new hope of hell"

"what do you mean by the hope. if he is brought back to life and uses his heavenly dragon power then he might even win this entire world's freedom. but-"

as Dante was speaking Alphonse suddenly cut in and continued his sentence

"but there is no proof that he can win over the heavenly dragon power and even if he can use it why would he help us? he could even go back to his home as well right? and not only that since he died the heavenly dragon might've gone to another host. he is also a human who is not used to fighting. there are so many loops here Solomon."

"There is only probably a 20% of chance that it will succeed. do you think this gamble is worth it Solomon?"

Solomon who was asked all these questions answered after a moment of silence.

"..... Aoi"

"mm?"

"do you remember when we four were kids our acquaintances and servants died one after another when they went for the expeditions along with our parents? even our parents almost died. it may be like a stroke of luck for us that our parents were alive but not for them. it is something more than death. it is a burden to keep on living for losing their comrades. that is way more horrifying than death."

after hearing that four of them calmed down. as Solomon continued.

"at the time we became the demon kings I asked my father that why he would keep on fighting despite losing his comrades. he said 'the world should not be taken away no matter what. our entire history lies in this world. even if you are horrified of death or if you lose your people you have to move on until you get a chance. Solomon when you fight never flee, never back down, never run away. even if there is at least a 1% chance or even a 0.1% chance to win use that chance. you should feel happy that you at least got the chance rather than feeling unhappy thinking about what you got is less. even a 1% chance is more than a 0%"

"....."

after hearing that Aoi calms down and stays silent while looking down towards the table.

"just now, you said 20% of the chance which is way more than 1% of the chance that my father told me. shouldn't we take that?"

and he looked towards Alphonse and said

"you said there were loopholes in this plan. there are loopholes because you thinking about the best possible outcome but what I am thinking is a safe possible outcome."

"what do you mean–"

"If he cannot win over the power of the heavenly dragon then we could not have felt that tremor earlier."

"....!!!"

"we could tempt him with money or pleasures or any of what he wants to fight for us. even then, if he does not wish to fight them then, on our request and since he would be a devil after coming back to life. the least he could do is to protect the main island in a worst-case scenario?"

"...."

everybody was silent and could not talk back to Solomon even though what he said might be a gamble even now, after listening to all his reasons and ways to make katsu fight for them after being reborn. But They also want to take the chance because as Solomon said this is the only big chance they got after millions of years of pain and tens of millions of people's sacrifice. they cannot let this chance pass. Alphonse did not consider that they could tempt him to fight for their side by offering him something that he wishes for like fortune, women, fame, or anything. so they were slowly being convinced by Solomon even then they were hesitating

"and regarding whether there is the heavenly dragon inside him or not right now is that it is still there. I felt it. its aura is still gushing out and lastly as for his fighting experience…."

Solomon continued his ways and hesitated to talk about what's next and took a deep breath and says

"We can leave his training to master Katsuro"

".....!!!!"

when they heard that everybody were shocked and started to talk one by one

"by master katsuro!!!!?"

"our one and only teacher?"

"the demonic teacher of hell?"

"yes"

as soon as everybody listened to his answer everybody talked with an angry and concerned face.

"Hey, are you out of your mind? you cannot throw a human towards him. he would die right after being back to life"

Aoi speaks. then Solomon as if he noticed something he asked Aoi with a curious face.

"if you just said 'after being back to life ' does that mean you accept to bring him back to life?"

"...., yeah I accept it. what your father said had something to with our situation as well. so they reached me"

Aoi first hesitated to accept but she accepted the plan in the end.

Solomon turns towards Dante and Alphonse.

"then what about you two?"

"even if you say those things–"

"I still think it is too much of a gamble even now."

Alphonse and Dante were still hesitating regarding what to do. then Solomon used his last trump card against them.

*thwack*

he woke up from his chair and

"Please, we must do it. trust me we did not have any chance of until now. but after seeing this boy's power I got my hope back to reclaim our lost lands. to rescue the people that we abandoned to keep ourselves safe. and to avenge our dead comrades. I just cannot let this chance slip by. so please"

what Solomon did was the complete opposite of what someone with the stature of a king would do. that is leave all his pride and bow his head to the other demon kings and beg.

he desperately bows his head while remembering his fallen comrade's deaths. everyone was shocked to see this. they could not digest that what he was going this far despite being a king.

then Dante says with a harsh tone

"stop it Solomon. you look disgusting now. you are my rival don't make me look bad by bowing down damn it"

then Alphonse asks this out of curiosity

"Why are you going this far to bring him back to life Solomon. you even swallowed your pride for that. just how much potential do you see in him?"

then Solomon says

"a potential that is more than enough to save the entire world by himself"

"..."

he said that while still bowing and without phasing at all

after a moment Dante and Alphonse spoke with a troubled expression

"fine~. I agree. just stand already you look pathetic"

"me too, since you put that much trust in him I will do that too"

"really?"

as Solomon was happy Alphonse asked.

"but what are you going to do if elders find out about this?"

Solomon said

"don't worry about it that much. I will take the responsibility. the punishment is most probably going to be an execution but that is a small price to pay for the world don't you think?"

as he said that with a smile on his face as he has no regrets the others spoke up

"don't make us look like villains"

"we will share the responsibility with you"

as Dante and Alphonse were saying that Solomon was trying to stop them

"but that would be too much–"

"Hey, we were always together up to now right? and what makes you think that you can go and die before us? we are all going to do it together"

Aoi said that to Solomon

".... thank you guys…. well now that it is settled let us make our way and start our work."

as Solomon said that everybody started to move out of the room.
