Opening the book Alex read its content as it said.

"How have you been, young Alex, if you are searching for me, I'm afraid I will be long gone from denerim, but I left a gift for you; it's a great story one you may not understand now, but will in the future.so here it begins.

During the reign of the Assyrian Empire, there were many things people knew like; they were powerful, the royal family are the fabled gold bloods, but there was one little secret that very few people knew. it was about a secret clan of unknown origin which no one except maybe the royal family knew.

They had variety of hair and eyes colour so they couldn't be a blood clan, they were almost human but the difference was their height which was even higher than that of the blood clans, some of them almost rivalled the beastmen in height which brought questions from the council, but the emperor said nothing and only kept repeating one sentence,"you will know in due time". as the royal family were powerful everyone kept silent and the case closed.

"Eborsisk, you should tell Aatrox to keep your clan under control, because even though I had shut them up, it doesn't stop them from investigating and it would not be a good thing should they find out a powerful clan possibly another race is living amongst them", the emperor said to a man with long black hair and golden eyes.

"Hump!", eborsisk snorted and scowled,"if they are weak they should learn to live with it, filthy political weaklings".

"And you think that you are strong enough to suppress them huh!, you should know that neither the humans or the blood clans or even other races should be underestimated, although they have gotten weaker, the ones you saw are just their representatives,their puppets!, if we are to be at each other's throats, the empire which my ancestors suffered to build will collapse. Your pride will be your doom, if you do not control it", the emperor cautioned eborsisk and walked away, at the distance he stops and said,"eborsisk"

"My lord", eborsisk answered.

"The creatures of the void zones are getting restless, I don't know what is going on but be prepared, we shall annihilate them should they touch our lands", the emperor spoke with cold eyes as he walked away.

"Your wish is my command, my lord", eborsisk saluted.

And so, as the emperor had said the other races came to investigate but Aatrox heeded the emperor's advise and he avoided a big problem, but it wasn't that easy for not everyone in the clan were happy about it.

"We are dragon bloods!, how could we bow our heads to those weaker than us", said a green haired man furiously.

"We bowed out heads to the emperor not the high council, it would do you good to remember that", eborsisk corrected him.

"If the other races had found us, especially our powers it would bring chaos and riot to this peaceful realm, I mean it took them years of war to recognize themselves or they may have not if not for the intervention of the empire, so a new race comes out and a powerful one at that, a new war will begin destroying the thousand years of peace the royal family had built", said an old brown haired man in support of Aatrox decision.

"I'd say, you've lost yourself in old age", the green haired man said angrily to the old brown haired man. the brown haired man just squinted his eyes but said nothing.

"I'm in support, why does the emperor give those weaklings this much face, we are much powerful than them and they are supposed to be grateful that we had given them this much space", a man with light blue hair spoke.

"I agree, the worst that could happen is them getting beaten to submission", a woman with light green hair supported.

"The emperor was right,our pride will one day be our doom, we turned into this form to get better but it seemed that our major flaw, PRIDE!, had followed us and now here we are fools, looking for war when this can just end peacefully without any bloodshed, what will vanishing into the shadows for a few years do to us, we are dragon bloods, we have long life spans", eborsisk said with a loud voice as he could not understand these fools, they were here debating over such small matter because of their pride.

"Eborsisk, if you weren't the emperor's right hand, I would have sent him your head, clearly you have been brainwashed, I don't even know what you are doing here, you are completely useless", the green haired man spoke ferociously.

"And, I will have you know that this the council of dragon bloods not the emperor's royal council, speak in lane eborsisk",the light green haired woman spoke mildly, but there was a serious threat behind her words.

"And what can you two do to me, do not forget that I...", eborsisk stops talking as Aatrox acted at this point.

Boom!,the sound of his staff colliding with the floor reverberated throughout the hall and everyone became silent.

"With heavy hoarse voice he spoke,"what is the worst that could happen!, the worst that could happen is the royal family loosing control over this vast realm, chaos spreading throughout the land and the empire being annihilated by the creatures of the void zone.

"What!, they want to attack us how stupid", the green haired man spoke with ridicule.

"They are fools, we will quench our seething anger with their blood, they just presented theirselves as a sacrifice, what an idiotic way to die", the light green haired woman chuckled.

The rest of the council laughed maliciously as they imagined the scene, except for a man, who's presence was almost unnoticeable.

"You fools, did you not hear lord Aatrox, we will be annihilated if we do not take them seriously, you are too prideful", retorted eborsisk, irritated by the way the council members spoke and thought, they would belittle everything until it slaps them at their face.

"We are dragon bloods, we are born prideful, we are high borns, we are the strongest race!!",the green haired man said with fervour.

"Sometimes I wonder if the emperor has changed your blood, eborsisk", the light green haired woman said meaningfully.

The hall turned silent as the others began whispering, wondering if the light green haired woman wants to lose her head. even the green haired man frowned as he knew arguing and cursing was normal but his cousin has crossed the line, questioning the bloodline of an elder, especially one like eborsisk is a great insult, one that cannot be tolerated while eborsisk face was getting darker by the second, a booming voice broke the stalemate.

"No we are not, the dragons are the strongest race not us who had denied our true selves for this unnecessary struggles", said a red haired man at the end of the table.

His words gathered the anger of everyone to the point of forgetting the issue they just had, including eborsisk, but no one spoke as the red haired man's strength was no joke. Well except one person who was stupid enough to talk.

"You red haired fool, we were just beasts in that form, how could you compare that to what we are now", the light green haired woman rebuked.

The green haired man gulped with painc written on his face, he feared for his dear cousin's life. she was born in the later generation and do not know what the old ones like Aatrox and the red haired man felt like. skyra was slightly younger that Aatrox but he was still young and Aatrox was in his dying breath, this alone showed the power gap.

Seeing that this matter may never end because of the light green haired woman, Aatrox changed the topic.

"The emperor has sent the armies of all races to wipe them out, but if there be a problem we are to be prepared, for we shall solve them. this meeting is dismissed".

While Aatrox watched them leave the hall, he sighed and muttered,"troublesome bunch" as he closed his eyes.

"You lied to them", a voice echoed in Aatrox ears.

Opening his eyes he saw skyrax, the red haired man standing at a height of more than two meters with a powerful Aura as he spoke coldly.

"I didn't, I just hid some part of the truth"

"It's the same to me", skyrax replied.

"Well it's not, learn to understand some things skyrax,"Aatrox said with a chuckle.

"Those so called creatures are very powerful, you must have felt their force, haven't you?, Why hide it from them", skyrax said angrily.

"Because we are also powerful, you take things too seriously skyrax, why don't you just relax for once", Aatrox said as he yawned.

"I've seen that these years of peace have gotten you delusional,or maybe it's your old age, but while you sit there doing nothing, I have a realm to protect. let's just hope your right Aatrox because the empire might as well be annihilated if they win the war", skyrax said solemnly as he left the hall.
