Chapter 3: Encounter with a Demon

"Are you sure? It's okay?" Finn asked and I nod

"You guys know them, you have my trust that they will never do something that can lead us to death. This coaster van is also big, It can fit us all" I said and I can tell they were smiling

"Aze can you ask them their headcount?" I asked Aze and he nod

After some minutes Aze gives me an answer.

"They're 10, We know 5 of them but Raze said there's a group of girls that asked them if they can tag along, he said the girls didn't take 'no' for an answer, " Aze said and I can't help but to roll my eyes knowing there will be some pick me girls that will tag along

"Stay here, call me when you think there's something wrong," I prepare my gun and head out

I entered the subway and while checking every sign of any zombies around, I felt my phone vibrates.

Before I can look at my phone, A strong shadow-like creature picks me up and throw me at one of the train cars.

"F*ck!" I groaned since my face hits a pole

Before I could react again it attacks me again and this time punching me on my stomach. The punch blew me to the corner and the only thing I did was groan.

"Poor Eva... my master will be glad to see you lifeless," he showed a devilish smile before continuing "like your mother," The shadow-like creature said in a monstrous voice and I secretly reach in my pocket to get my specialized dagger

"D*mn you all!" I yelled and gather all my strength to fight back

I change my dagger to a sword and attack the creature. It tried to fight back but I moved faster and cut him into two.

"Go back to your master!" I yelled and my sword lit fire and I slashed the creature

It turns into dust and my strength was washed away.

"Mo-mom," I sniffed and can't help but cry

My phone rings bringing back my senses.

"Eva! Are you okay?! There's something strange earlier. A heavy gush of wind suddenly shakes up the car" Finn said and I take a deep breath before answering

"Yup! I'm fine. I'll call back when I found them" I said and end the call

I tried to stand up and my vision suddenly blurred and my whole body tremble.

"No! Not now!" I yell trying to focus and bring my strength back

I get out of the train car and there's a low growl echoing through the subway. A zombie suddenly popped out of nowhere and starts walking in my direction.

I gather myself before shooting the zombie. The noise echoed through the hallway.

I immediately look for some restrooms but it was empty.

"Where are they?!" I grasp my hair out of frustration but then I hear a phone ring

I followed the sound and it leads me to an office-like door. I knock first but no one answered, I knocked again and again. I tried to kick the door but then I realized it was a solid wood door.

"If there's anyone inside, I'm Eva, a friend of Aze,"I introduced and the door suddenly opened

I entered the room and meet 5 guys and 5 girls.

"Where are they?" A man with bright red hair asked

"In the coaster" I simply answered

"We heard gunshots, Is it safe outside?" The tallest of them all asked

"It's me that fired a gun. Let's go. We don't have time to chitchat here" I said and lead them out of the subway

Jax spotted us and immediately opened the door of the coaster. I let them in first since I am the one that has a weapon. After they settled in, I entered the coaster and closed the door.

"I'm glad you guys are safe," The man with a built body frame said and tap Finn's shoulder

"Btw, who is she again?" The man with dark blue hair asked and secretly points at me

"I'm Eva Blood, I'm friends with Aze, Jax, and Finn since 8th grade" I introduced myself "And mind you all, please wear your seatbelts" I added and started the vehicle

"Do you have any siblings?" The man with innocent looks asked

"I have one, he's Ace Blood the CEO of Blood Accessory" I answered proudly

"Does she-" the sentence was cut off

"Btw, I still haven't known your name," I said and smiled at them

"I'm Red Magnus," The red-haired guy said in a cold tone

"I'm Raze Donovan," The guy with dark blue hair said smiling at me

"I'm John Dashiell," The tallest of them all said smiling at everyone

"I'm Max Colton," The guy's innocent looks said and looks away while turning red

"He's shy" John teased Max which makes everyone laughs

"I'm Dean Porter," the one with a built body frame said and smiled showing his dimples

"I'm--" I cut off one of the girls

"I already know you girls, You're Maxine, You're Elizabeth, You're Cristine, You're Margareth, and You're Camille," I said and Maxine raised her eyebrows

"How did you know our name? Are you one of our fans? Or... Maybe one of those girls that tried to join our group. Yeah, maybe you're that kind of girl" Maxine asked confidently and I laughed at her joke

"I'm the one you keep bullying every day throughout my high school days. And for your information. I don't give a d*mn thing about you girls" I answered back

There was a long silence, Aze came to me and tap me on the shoulder.

"It looks like we're running out of gasoline," He said and I take a deep breath

"It's going to be a long ride. We need to stop at the nearest convenience store and get some fuel" I explained and he nodded before getting back on his seat

I feel exhausted and didn't even realize we are speeding up.
