Confrontation

The magical beasts that the guards were on dropped to the ground and stood there as if they were expecting someone.

The three guards jumped down from the back of the magical beast and then looked around, trying to see if anyone was in sight. They couldn't see anyone.

"What the hell is wrong with this damn magical beast?" One of the guards roared out loud with a visible angry expression on his face. He couldn't believe that, when they were already so close to the royal palace of the Keban kingdom, the magical beast would fall out of their control.

"Seems like something is wrong," another guard said, looking around with his eyes fixed on all corners of the forest, trying to see if there was anything out of the ordinary he would see.

"But why is it that Lu Shang, the chief guard of defense of the Keban kingdom, is coming from the same direction we came from?" A guard, putting on a golden armor and white robe, with a sword hung on his back and his eyes shining like a sparkling sword, said
