Torture

In a dimly lit room deep within the palace, this was one of the secrets of the palace that most people don't know about. The air smelled heavy with the scent of incense, and the sound of a slow, rhythmic wave of bleeze blew from the room. The walls were lined with dark, ominous carvings of mythological creatures and ancient symbols, and the floor was covered in a thick layer of black sand that felt soft and cold beneath the soles of your feet.

In the centre of the room, there was a high, ornately decorated platform, and upon it sat a large, heavy metal table with chains for holding the victims wrists, ankles, and across the chest. Different guards who were in hoods were standing at different angles in the room, all standing, some carrying blades, whips, or other sharp instruments.
