ALMIGHTY DRAGON COMES BACK FOR REVENGE

As they entered the grand foyer, Sonia felt overwhelmed by the opulence surrounding her. Crystal chandeliers hung from high ceilings, and priceless artwork adorned the walls. It was a far cry from the life she had known. Once they were alone in one of the spacious rooms, Tyler turned to Sonia. With gentle hands, he reached for her veil. "May I?" he asked softly. Sonia hesitated, her heart racing. After a moment, she nodded, closing her eyes as the veil fell away. "You're beautiful, Sonia," Tyler said, his voice filled with sincerity. Sonia's eyes flew open in surprise. "How can you say that? My face... it's..." "a part of who you are?," Tyler finished the sentence for her. "And you are beautiful." Tyler slammed his fists into the ground, fire erupting around him in a searing circle. The earth groaned under the force, cracks spreading outward like veins. He roared, the sound raw, his frustration drowning out every rational thought. Sophia was gone, dragged away before his eyes, and he’d failed to stop it.Gabriel’s voice crackled over the communicator lodged in Tyler’s earpiece. “Tyler, do you copy? Maya says the portal collapsed. What’s the situation?”“Get me back!” Tyler growled, standing amidst the scorched earth. His flames flickered wildly, uncontrolled. “She’s been taken.”“By who?” Gabriel’s tone sharpened, urgency lacing his words.Tyler took a deep breath, forcing the fire back into submission. He scanned the empty void around him. The towering creature he’d fought moments ago was gone, leaving nothing but a faint residue of dark energy. “I don’t know yet. But I’m going to find out.”“You need to return first,” Maya cut in. “Whatever plane you’re in won’t hold you for

Sophia stepped back, her heart pounding as the figures advanced. Their shapes wavered in the crimson haze, shifting between grotesque forms with limbs too long and faces half-hidden by shadow. Their whispers grew louder, incomprehensible, yet they pressed against her mind like knives.“Stay back!” she shouted, her voice trembling. She glanced around, searching for any sign of an escape, but the terrain offered no refuge. It was an expanse of jagged ground, the sky above swirling in unnatural patterns. The closest figure stopped, tilting its head like a curious predator. “You don’t know, do you?” Its voice was both a hiss and a growl.“Know what?” Sophia forced the words out, her throat dry.Another stepped forward, its clawed hand reaching out. “What you are.”Sophia moved instinctively, raising her arms as if to shield herself. A sharp, electric force exploded from her palms, throwing the figure backward. It shrieked, its form dissolving into mist before the others recoiled. She star

Tyler’s fists slammed into the empty factory wall, the force cracking the brick. “Where is she?” he roared, his voice echoing in the silence. His chest heaved as his mind raced. Sophia was gone. The figure had taken her, disappearing in that blinding light.Gabriel’s voice crackled over the comm in Tyler’s pocket. “I’m outside. What’s happening?”Tyler snatched the comm out. “They took her. Sophia’s gone.”A pause. Then Gabriel’s steady voice came through. “We’ll find her. Do you have a lead?”Tyler turned back to the empty room, his jaw tight. “They’re playing games. Whoever it was, they know exactly what she is—and what she means to me.”“Do you think it’s Mary?”“No.” Tyler paced, his eyes scanning the ground. “She doesn’t have the magic to pull something like this off. This is bigger.” His foot hit something metallic. He crouched, picking up a small, engraved coin. The symbol etched into it sent a chill down his spine. “Gabriel, get in here. Now.”Seconds later, Gabriel burst thro

“You’ve been busy, Tyler,” Mary’s voice came through the phone, smooth but edged with calculation.Tyler paced the length of his study, his hand tightening around the phone. “Get to the point, Mary.”“Such hostility,” she said, feigning innocence. “We’re both smart enough to know this war isn’t ending with Philip. You took my father. You have my brother. But we both know there’s more at play here.”Tyler’s jaw clenched. “What do you want?”“A meeting,” Mary replied, her tone dropping to something sharper. “Tonight. I’ll text you the location. Alone.”“You think I’d trust you?”She laughed softly. “Trust? Don’t insult me. But I think you’ll show up because if you don’t, things might get messy for someone you care about.”Tyler’s eyes narrowed. “Sophia has nothing to do with this.”“Doesn’t she?” Mary’s voice was a loaded question. “See you tonight, Dragon Marshal.”The line went dead.Tyler tossed the phone onto his desk, his chest tight with unease. Gabriel entered the room just as he
