Chapter 350 : Under The Moonlight (3)
“What did you just say?”   Stupefied, Dead Lamb stared at Fairti with a half-open mouth and a funny-looking expression.  The young noble let out a heavy sigh then clicked his tongue. He turned his back to Dead Lamb and proceeded to check the stack of books he previously prepared.   “I shouldn’t mock physically handicapped people but do consider another way of communication, okay? It’s not my problem if you’re slightly deaf and can’t hear my voice. I’m not a fan of speaking out loud, you see…”   He dismissively waved his hand at Dead Lamb while adding, “Now be a good lad and leave me alone, will you? I’m a bit busy.”   “...”   Read more
Chapter 351 : Under The Moonlight (4)
Fortunately, the Throne Hall was big enough to house the Moon Crawling Wyvern. Although the massive aerial beast wasn’t able to move freely, the limited space still allowed it to ravage at its heart's content. Ragins winds swept the closest Royal Knights, while the wyvern’s claw cut down anything in its path, soon leading to one-sided massacre. Meanwhile, Leiu continued his charge toward the fleeing King. Before he could reach Ebrador, however, the old Royal Knight who was rebuked by the King stopped him. With precise and fast movement, the elderly thrust his one-handed silver sword at Leiu’s chest, forcing him to roll to the side. The Dark Knight, despite dodging the first attack, was hit by the second. *Warring Royal Kn

Chapter 352 : Under The Moonlight (5)
Leiu's short rest was interrupted by the arrival of several knights with Princess Elizabeth leading them. Suffice to say, they were surprised by the corpses lying all around the Throne Hall. Eviscerated, beheaded, and dismembered bodies were scattered in every corner, the nauseating stench of blood dominating the air.  “What happened her-ah!” Elizabeth was marching toward Leiu only to see the lifeless corpse of Sylvester, with the knight’s head resting a couple of meters away from the rest of its body. “Uncle Sylvester…” The girl’s hardened expression softened a bit. She walked to the corpse and performed a prayer before shifting her gaze to the silent Dark Knight.Read more
Chapter 353 : Under The Moonlight (6)
“You’ve run out of Fire Bombs. What are you chasing him for?” Dead Lamb was running after Fairti Gicolt, unable to hold back his curiosity. By now, he was almost certain that Fairti had no combat abilities and that his shown level wasn’t a trick. Nevertheless, he did not attack him or bar his way, still hoping to initiate a quest. Strangely enough, even after killing five Holy Knights and forcing the King to flee, Fairti gave chase. The young noble had a frail body, unbefit for any physical combat, yet he was bravely, or perhaps recklessly, following the King and his strong protectors. Fairti halted his feet mid-run and abruptly turned to face Dead Lamb. “Quit hiding in the corner and l

Chapter 354 : What Must Be Done (1)
“H-how did you get here?” Ebrador the 5th, King of the Noules Empire, was panicking and gawking at the two individuals which appeared out of thin air. He was inside the Vault, the most secure and well-fortified place of the Royal Castle, yet, even after closing the entrance and putting guards, they managed to get inside, much to his disbelief. He had only ten Royal Knights guarding him, adding to that the five that accompanied the Queen, it makes fifteen, which wasn’t enough.  “Your Majesty, it is a pleasure to meet you again.” Fariti Gicolt elegantly bowed, then diverted his gaze to the numerous shiny treasures lying in every corner of the spacious golden room. It was a sight to b

Chapter 355 : Just Once
The explosions initiated by Leiu and Falkar’s clash of attacks did considerable damage to the Royal Castle. After the Court Mage teleported away, Leiu had wanted to give chase but the collapse of the roof and the ground left him with no choice but to temporarily seek a safer area. The ground beneath his feet crumbled, making him fall downwards, however, he was able to safely land and get out of the falling rubble’s way. It took a couple of minutes for everything to calm down and the dust to slightly clear. Leiu surveyed his surroundings only to discover that he was in the King’s private chambers. The absurdly big room lacked its aura of luxury or the ever-lasting scent of perfume. All that was left was broken chairs and tables, snapped beds, and a lot of differently-shaped boulders. Read more
Chapter 356 : The Scepter And The Crown
“....” Leiu was panting heavily, his posture uneven and his face paler than usual. He was having difficulty standing, especially with how heavy the greatsword was. To make matters worse, his weapon was showing signs of breaking and would surely not last for long. As he was making his way toward the roof, his path was blocked by a red-haired beauty dressed in an eye-catching crimson dress. Even though it was Leiu’s first time seeing Zeno’s true appearance, he wasn’t particularly surprised. He stared back at the vampire with sunken eyes, opting for silence. “I thought you’d be more surprised.” The counselor softly chuck

Chapter 357 : Her Last Vow (1)
The battle between Leiu and Falkar was brutal and fierce. Neither of them seemed to care about their injuries as they unleashed one spell after the other, wrecking their surroundings and adding more wounds to their bodies.   Falkar was blood-soaked, a grievous hole in his left eye, which made him look even more frightening. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop him from firing one destructive spell after the other, going as far as sacrificing his own vitality.   Meanwhile, Leiu was slightly more cautious with his usage of Mana and Stamina. Thin magical projectiles made of Mana shot at him, the first couple were stopped by [Dark Dominance] while the rest clashed with the greatsword.   The Dark Knight teleported behind the Court Mage and successfully disrupted the spell-casting. Chapter 358 : Her Last Vow (2)
The signal emitting from the orb was subtle and hard to understand, but Leiu knew that it was calling for him, asking him to use it.    The green mist was becoming denser and bigger, especially when he tightened his grip on the orb. Instead of using it, Leiu opted to destroy it and finish this once and for all. A part of Mira’s soul was trapped here and the best he could do was release it.   Unfortunately, the mist did not seem to like his attempt and soon started becoming hostile. The orb was becoming hotter and tried to wriggle out his grasp. Eventually, cracks appeared around it, resulting in even more Harrowing Mist.   Meanwhile, Dead Lamb was facing off against the transformed Falkar alone. The mage, albeit experienced and possessing diverse magical spells, wasn’t

Chapter 359 : The Bloody Revolution of Noules
Once Falkar was killed, Leiu felt a wave of serenity wash over him. He gasped for breath, his eyes lingering on the slowly-disappearing green mist around his greatsword. Very much like the state of his body, the greatsword had reached its limit. After executing [Her Last Vow], the massive blade broke into many pieces. Leiu dropped the handle and raised his head, enjoying the sight of the now-normal silver moon and its surrounding stars. For a fleeting second, he could’ve sworn he had heard Mira’s soothing voice, though he knew it was his imagination. Unable to resist the fatigue any longer, Leiu fell on the ground only to be caught by a pair of gentle hands. Zeno Ver Kantika appeared behind him and caught his body, a soft smile on her face, Read more
