210. The Diary
/the letters written in italic in this chapter will be the first person perspective of Amryr/   It took a while, really. Lord Red Eye empowered almost all members of the organisation. Well, the ones that survived, that is.  Most failed the initial intelligence test. Those who failed it simply died. Their bodies turned to ashes or they bursted. Some were also crushed by this epic power that Lord Red Eye has that manipulates people’s bodies. I don’t know how he does it, but it is definitely a power one would lust to have.  Those who lived through the test and got empowered are the official and only members of Red Eye Organization.

211. The Old man
Amryr had already spent a few days in the Migigaia Wastelands. Still completely confident in his survival, he spent a lot of time writing in his diary. He would sometimes go back a few pages to read a story he had already written, or he would write a story he had forgotten to write down.“Eh… Seriously?” The black-and-white-haired boy hissed, eyes looking at his pen with annoyance, “Did you really stop working now?! In the middle of the desert!?”He threw it angrily forward. His strength was so great that his eyes couldn’t track where it went.“Well, fuck. Now I completely failed.” he snapped his finger nervously, then smiled as if the best moment of his life had happened, “Actually this is a great motivation! I can&

212. Tracking the demons
“You said you used these chains to immobilize your demons. You survived through the ritual… Old man. Where are these demons of yours?” Amryr’s voice spoke lowly.“I…” As the man was about to reply, although with visible hesitance, the black-and-white-haired boy interrupted him,“Where is your family, Old man?”The Old man’s left eye ticked. The painful answer that his mind automatically generated was the reason behind his now narrowed eyebrows and deep sigh.Amryr then continued, “The black magical ritual wasn’t caused by the virus, was it?”Old man breathed in deeply and spoke, “You are quite more than what meets the eye, boy. I start to be

213. Human traits
Darkness. That’s what they needed to find demons. A demon would never stand in the light of day. Therefore, when night came, it was the best time to hunt demons.    ‘No change of outfit. No talismans or items to grant him additional power or abilities. Confident in each step. Why? I don’t get it. Was I deceived? Nah… not a chance. More likely, he probably lacks knowledge. He doesn’t know how to save them. Maybe he will try to chain them down again? Hahahah. Try and talk the demons out of them? Oh my, I shouldn’t have such hilarious thoughts in my head. I might accidentally spoil my serious face.’ Amryr thought, with an uncontrolled smirk on his face. “What seems to have entertained you so much, my boy?” Gaoth asked. ‘Oh fuck. Gotta think of something fast.’ Amryr thought as his eyes went from co

214. "Fear" the human trait
As intimidating the young black-and-white-haired boy seemed, the demons weren’t bothered by this half-their-size mage. The Walker’s blade slashed at Amryr, leaving a red trail behind it. To the demon’s surprise, the boy was already in front of his body, dodging the attack. While this happened in the fraction of a second, another second was all it took for a massive slapping sound to resonate along the tunnel.Amryr’s palm went through the demon’s face, slapping him so powerfully, that the arcane power caused the demon to lose its left cheek completely.Immediately, the demon tried to recover and made a few instinctive steps back.“This is

215. The style of improvisation
‘Ever wondered what’s disgusting and horrifying at the same time? I’ll tell you. In my humble experience of, how old was I? Oh yeah, fourteen years' experience of life, I have never heard anything more awful than a lair of demons laughing at me.’   “Kid! Buhaha! Seriously!? I was totally wrong about you. You’re not a genius! No wait, you ARE! Geniusly stupid! Hahah!” Gaoth laughed his lungs out.  Gothanir, Gaoth’s son, stepped forward and spoke, “Father, let me deal with this punk myself.” The son had a ripped body. Very athletic shape that was revealed from his demonic outfit. A black sleeveless jacket, with his abs and chest visible. Spiky black hair and red eyes sticking out from the purple skin. Gaoth’s right arm extended forward, his wrist rela

216. Black-and-white emotions
The menacing eye of the living demonic sword would strike fear in any opponent. The weapon’s demonic blood synchronized with Gaoth’s heartbeat, completing the bond between wielder and wielded.“Oh? Finally somethi-” Amryr spoke confidently, until the eye of the demonic blade gazed at him. Then his eyes turned completely white, and he fell on his knees. “If you survive this, then you really were worth it. Making me draw out my sword, that is.” Gaoth stepped towards the boy.The sword ripped the ground with its eye, staring at the boy. Its wielder sat down and spoke, “I will wait exactly two minutes. If you aren’t awake by then, I will feed my blade with your blood. It thirsts… I can feel it.”Gaoth

217. Demon Art - Supremacy
“So this is what happens when the virus unlocks someone’s potential and he doesn’t die from it. Such a pity that you wouldn’t join the demon cult. You definitely would have been on par with me as a demon, even though you would have been half-human.” Gaoth spoke, as he grabbed the hilt of his demonic sword and pulled it out of the ground, slashing to the side.   Amryr had a few tears run down his cheek, but his half-white pupils gazed upon the demon as he was his prey, “You’ve got it bad, Old man. You don’t even need to turn me into a demon for me to be on par with you. I already am far stronger than you.”   Gaoth blinked a few times, his menacing figure of power faced the black-and-white mana wielder, as winds created by the boy’s sheer presence were pushing back the dust around them, “I must confess, capturing you into a nightmarish

218. Out of the cave
“Shit!” Amryr grunted. The demon’s hand movements hinted to the boy that he was about to slash the blade out of him, which would literally mean splitting him in half.To avoid this, Amryr immediately sliced the demon’s hands and legs off with a void slash that was incredibly energy consuming. The demon’s body fell to the side, but in just a few seconds, Amryr saw its libs regenerating. It was enough time for him to pull the blade out of his body and draw distance.“Fuck. It’s bleeding too much. Shit. It fucking hurts!” Amryr cursed, holding onto his stomach. His breathing was chaotic, “I have only a few seconds to recover and be on par with this guy. I’m definitely t

219. Blare Barbali
It didn’t take long before Amryr reached the exit of the cave. It was as he speculated - the demon lair was closer to the city rather than to the villages because it would be at a tactical advantage this way. It wasn’t hard to figure this out. A city meant more people, more goods, and since the tunnels and cave were all shaped by the demon’s magic, then it all made sense. Unless, of course, the demon was stupid. But that didn’t seem to be the case. “Old man, it’s quite the view you have here. If I were you, I’d make my throne at this exact place and gaze into the horizon at all times.” Amryr spoke to the demon’s core inside his stomach, as he glared at the beautiful scenery before him. On his left, a huge lake surrounded by the mountains. Then the greener end of the
