After the tea, Takechi Hito kissed Tomiko Hari, waved at Sakamo and Hangaku, and left. Sakamo and his two surprise guests went to the upper level, and while Hangaku and Tomiko went to their room to get their pyjamas to put on after the bath, he went to his room where Tomoe was seated in a chair, drying her hair with a towel.

In Sakamo’s classroom, the first thing he did when he entered was count heads to see if everyone was inside. He then went to the front and told them about Shubuyaky Tomoe’s invitation, for them to go to Nakanojo for her concert and to spend the weekend with her. A major explosion of clapping and girlish screams filled the classroom, which only diminished when Sakamo signalled for them to be quiet because he still wanted to explain a few things.
