CHAPTER 101
Entering a dungeon alone…This wasn’t the first time this happened in Myles’ life.He first met Vreka, his wife from the past life, in front of an ice cold dungeon, where winds whipped so harshly, skin would tear off people’s skin. In such a harsh place, despite being wounded severely, she was standing outside, as if waiting for someone to come out. When he asked her, she told him she was waiting for her mother who couldn’t escape from the deadly million monster dungeon. Myles assured her he would bring her mother out if she was still alive. She didn’t believe him, as her ten-membered group was all wiped out except her and her mother. They split up to survive, but only Vreka made it out. Vreka was already quite strong by then, but the million monster dungeon was still on another level. So, she wasn’t sure if her mother would make it out alive.“It’s not something you can do all on your own,” Vreka still told him. “Don’t waste your life.”Myles vanished from her sight, and five seconds

CHAPTER 102
Myles fell back and hit his head to the ground, which hurt him some more. “AHH!” he cringed in pain. No matter how hard he gritted his teeth, the pain wasn’t going away. He kept losing blood. He had to tear his shirt and tightly wrap it around the wound. It stopped the bleeding, but all the nerves in his right foot throbbed even when he wasn’t moving his leg. However, he could tell that he wasn’t poisoned.“Dammit.”There was no way he could walk with multiple holes in his foot. His right foot would only keep swelling with every minute, so he wasn’t sure if he could even climb down and leave the dungeon. Moreover, Bjorn must still be waiting for him outside.“How am I going to get out of this?”He looked around, hoping to find one or two useful things from the wooden chests, but he found nothing. He pushed a wooden lid and covered the hole. And then he crawled on his butt to a corner and sat down, with the sword in his waist, ready to attack any lizard that might crawl out of the hol

“Sentient trap formations…”Most people would have felt threatened, but Myles got excited. If he had his powers, passing through these traps would have been a piece of cake, but with his current condition, where one of his legs were compromised, he was not in a position where he should feel confident about taking this challenge.Nevertheless, Myles didn’t give up.He stood there and kept touching the walls to see if there was any way to deactivate the trap. However, he didn’t find anything. He then observed the third step and noticed if it was any different from the first and two. He couldn’t help but notice a thin horizontal line along the edge, which was obscure because of the dried blood. He looked at the upper stairs, and some of them had this same pattern.“I think I found the clues they left, but it seems I have to go through this horror… with a broken foot, nonetheless.”“The traps will activate if I cross. The only way I can get across without getting hurt is to be fast enough

CHAPTER 104
Even though the skeletal figure draped in tattered rags never physically touched Myles, he felt like his face itself was being eaten away and his breath getting robbed. This couldn’t be an illusion. He wasn’t just seeing things. This wrath-like monster was real!Myles didn’t know what to do. The pulling force was beyond what he could resist, so he used the momentum to his advantage and went in for a headbutt.BAM!A cracking noise echoed as the monster’s skull broke. It screamed in a terrifying, soul-trembling vocal.Myles’ forehead also bled, but he didn’t stop. Even though everything was hazy, he knew where his sword was. He unsheathed it and swiped it with all he got. The blade cleaved through the rags and the bony neck of the monster, decapitating it in the process. The head fell and rolled. He slashed his sword again and cut through the rags and bones of its torso as swiftly as his arms allowed him to move. He couldn’t keep going for long because of the wounds in his foot and hea

CHAPTER 105
Uttering the heavenly heart mantra was the only thing Myles could do, but the silver-gray monster didn’t make it any easier for him as the millions of nanobots kept eating his body away. The concept of the heavenly heart mantra was to wholly submit oneself to the most supreme and eternal being of all worlds who was beyond time, space, and matter. In return, the heart would gain the power over the mind and the body and help make godly decisions.Myles didn’t hurry with the mantra. He recited it at a regular pace without thinking about his death. Whether it was his fearlessness, or his unwillingness to submit to the enemy before him even in the face of death, something opened the door for spiritual power to pour into him and dominated the spiritual seal like a lion choking on a deer.Myles felt his power returning very fast. It was almost instantaneous.“Burn,” he uttered. The millions of nanobots that were eating his body away got caught on flames and perished. The flames spread to the

CHAPTER 106
“We shouldn’t have entered the dungeon without Myles,” Justin said. “It’s too risky out here.”“We don’t even know where he is,” Casey quickly replied. “It’s been more than seven days since we last saw him.”“Yes, but…”Justin and others weren’t told that Myles had entered the dungeon even though they had asked the dungeon guards about it because the guards received orders from the vice-warden to keep their mouths shut about Myles entering the dungeon.“We don’t need Myles because we have a map this time,” Kong blurted. “As long as we follow the path, we’ll come across slimes.”“They said slimes were the perfect targets to practice as they’re slow,” Biskie voiced her mind as she tried to use her ability to see in the dark. “I wonder if I can punch a slime and hurt it.”“Only your stupid brain will underestimate slimes,” Casey snorted. “The slimes may have awakened ones, which might pose a great threat if we aren’t careful.”“Who are you calling stupid?” Biskie glared at Casey who quic

Justin and everyone else was horrified when they saw so much blood pour out of Casey’s split-up chest. Her eyes whitened instantly, and she pathetically fell back.Biskie got so horrified, she almost managed to scream her way out of her frozen self. But Kong didn’t need to scream. He somehow managed to break free from his frozen state and immediately caught the face of the kobold with the knife and viciously threw it toward the slinging kobold. He then rushed and speared Ria with his shoulder, thereby freeing her.Ria was pushed forward; she used the momentum to her advantage and tore her way through the kobold with the staff, cutting its staff and head into pieces with her claws. She didn’t stop there. She swiveled toward the remaining two kobolds, and her arm alone turned into a wing. She waved her arm, shooting half-dozen feathers that darted deep into the kobolds’ neck and breaking their windpipes and knocking them unconscious. Kong went and repeatedly punched their heads and brok

Seeing Casey get healed so fast, Biskie covered her mouth in shock. (How’s this possible? What was that item? What did it do?)Because Casey’s wounds were healed, her bare chest was up for view. Justin took his shirt off and gave it to Casey. She thanked him and then immediately hugged Myles and cried.“You saved me again. I don’t know how to thank you. I owe you my life.”“How can I let my team members die right before my eyes?” Myles spoke back and stood. With a flick of his wrist, he took a knuckle duster out and walked up to Kong. “I know you’ve done bad things, but none of us are perfect. I hope you’ll put this power to good use.” He placed the knuckle duster in Kong’s palm.Kong could feel an ethereal power pleasantly sting his body. It wasn’t oppressive but soothing. He wore the knuckle duster on his hand, and it glowed and merged with his hand.Kong instinctively punched the wall, and the whole neighborhood started shaking, and they had to run away from there before the ceilin

CHAPTER 109
Almost two miles deep into the dungeon, Justin and others were practicing their skills on the slimes.Annoyed by the presence of the humans, the slimes creeped over at their own slow pace, which helped Justin to use their abilities.Casey cut through the slimes with her hair and even went overboard at times, as her ability was hard to control. However, just cutting didn’t kill the slimes. They were able to reattach themselves and keep attacking.Kong punched the slimes and split them into thousands of pieces which made it all the more difficult for them to reattach their bodies.Biskie put her regular dagger to use, as she couldn’t use the divine dagger yet. Even though she had tried calling the divine dagger, it didn’t respond.Justin blasted the slimes with his flames and melted them into nothing. His flame attacks certainly killed them. Justin was pleased with his accomplishment because his flames weren’t releasing poisonous vapors anymore, not unless he wished. After absorbing two

CHAPTER 110
Eight miles into the dungeon, Myles and others were fighting the poison swamp frogs. Myles wasn’t actively fighting and only took care of the frogs that came at him.Casey pierced the eyes of the frogs first and restricted their movements before riddling their bodies with holes using her hair. She looked menacing to Biskie.“She looks much stronger than when she entered the dungeon,” Biskie thought. Unlike Casey, Biskie couldn’t use her powers yet. The dagger wasn’t quite responding to her thoughts. She wanted to cut the frogs in two halves, but the dagger didn’t even come into her hand. Myles told her to think of her hand as a dagger, and it would be enough to make the divine dagger act. Biskie tried, but it still didn’t work.“You should erase doubt and worry from your heart,” Myles advised. “Don’t be anxious. You can’t control anything divine if you worry. Have faith in yourself. Have faith in the divine power.” He grabbed her hand and waved it horizontally as a frog came hopping a
