Chapter 61: The Call
'Oh well, another time.' Al'ravee turned around to leave. Just then."Al'ravee, can I speak with you?" Nordeline's soft voice reached his ears."Oh, what is it?" Al'ravee stopped and looked over his shoulders."I've been wanting to tell you something very important. I hope that you can remain calm and forgive me." She said."Hmm?" Al'ravee turned around to look straight into her eyes. Her blue eyes were glistening, subtly hiding her inner thoughts."The thing is.." Nordeline sighed. "I don't want to join the pantheon.""Oh, "Al'ravee tilted his head. “I knew that.”Ozia had already told him, he just didn't know the reason yet."You do?" Nordeline raised an eyebrow."Yeah. Hey, you've got new clothes. Why don't you show me where you got them? We'll talk on the way." Al'ravee said.Nordeline had gotten new clothes after the tour so she had always been in a different set of clothes from the start. Now, she wore a white T-shirt with a blue checkered flare skirt."Okay." Chapter 62: Darius Survives
Darius was bored. He was so bored, even keeping track of time wasn't enough to occupy him. If not for the resident AI on the space shuttle, he would have lost track of time. The space shuttle had only so much space. He couldn't even stand straight inside. The only thing he has had to sustain himself was the canned food and bottle water that Ozia had been mindful enough to keep there. If not that he had been turned into a level 10 mortal, the little food would not have been enough. Thankfully, there was a functional toilet in the shuttle. He didn't go crazy even when he should have. Not all humans had a strong will to withstand being lonely for so long. But then again, he was never a normal human. The feeling of misery in his heart almost made him curse the one who sent him on this journey, but he had to restrain himself. The agonizing torture he experienced had caused a nearly unremovable seed of fear to be planted in his heart.Darius could feel the strength within his lean muscles.

Chapter 63: Galgamuth
He was so happy that he didn't notice the man hovering quietly above the shuttle.Darius fell to the ground out of pure happiness. He rolled on the ground, making his already messy clothes messier."Land, oh how I've missed you." He pressed his left cheek on the ground, afraid that it would suddenly disappear."*Cough*" The man in the air coughed awkwardly to draw Darius's attention.Darius froze for a split second before slowly standing up while stealthily picking up a handful of stones. He didn't look back to check who made that sound. His eyes narrowed dangerously and he bowed his head in concentration."Hab akash neh?" The man spoke out, also folding his hands on his chest.*SWOOSH!*Darius swiftly turned around to throw the rocks in the direction the voice came from.ZITTZ!The rocks hadn't even flown half the distance before they were shot out of the air by two bright red beams. "Hmm?" Darius was surprised. He got a clear look at this man's facial features.Red eyes which gave o

Chapter 64: False Gods
In the corner of large garden, a nice-looking tree with vibrant green leaves stood, casting a dark shadow due to the afternoon daystar. This green tree casted an unsettling picture in the minds of any who saw it as it was weird to find a tree with so much green leaves in this wasteland.Under the natural shade provided by the tree, Darius sat on a simple wooden chair with a cup of tea in his hand. Next to his chair was a small wooden stool with delicate and beautiful designs on its surface.Taking a sip from the ceramic cup, he closed his eyes to enjoy the taste. He dropped the cup on the stool, not before sniffing up the rich aromatic smell."I'm glad you like it." A raspy voice came from his right. Darius nodded his head in approval, his back relaxed completely against the back of the chair. To his left, the same chair and stool was also arranged the same way as his under the shade. But, an old human woman who looked to be in her sixties sat on the chair. She had long straight white

Chapter 65: Hunting
Darius lay on the bed, his mind filled with thoughts. He stared blankly at the white ceiling of the small room assigned to him. It had a nice bed, two chests filled with clothes and a nice window view.‘I'm supposed to be creating a faction for him, zero progress. What if he arrives now’ Just thinking about it caused a chill to run down his spine.“Darius!” Galgamuth called from the other side of the door.Answering the call, Darius went up to open the door. He saw Galgamuth standing in the hallway with a smile on his face.“Good morning Mr Galgamuth.” Darius answered respectfully. Galgamuth sighed inwardly, he and Darius looked to be around the same age, yet Darius acted so compliant and respectful to him. He recognised this merely as the respect giving to the strength he had rather than he himself. However, Darius was far from being Galgamuths’ age mate.“Morning Darius, How are you?”“I'm fine, thank you sir.”“Have you had breakfast?” Galgamuth.“Yes, Clancy happened to be serving

Chapter 66: Comparison
“So, are you all students of the old lady?…” Darius asked in a clear and easily noticeable accent that gave away his lack of familiarity with the new language of this planet.“Her name is Priya.” Kenji let out a soft warning, “And no, we aren't her students… some of us, I think.” He said the last part while looking back to glance at Talliu.“Sorry about that.” Darius apologized. He had only been here for a couple weeks so he still wasn't clear on what was considered respectful and not respectful. He had always referred to Priya as ‘old lady’ to the point he had even thought that was her name. No one ever bothered to correct him about it until now.“It's alright, now you know better. Hey, loosen up will you?” Stan waved off the discussion while putting one of his arms around Darius’s shoulder. This was easy for him to do because of his height and how long those arms were. This did not make Darius loosen up at all, but rather caused his body to stiffen and his mind to go hyper-alert. St

Chapter 67: Cyrix
Galgamuth eventually lead them to a clearing where they able to spot a small pond with a cluster of boulders not too far from it.Although this was a wasteland, it seemed whatever had caused the land to become like this had happened long ago and it was in the middle of recovering. The wasteland was dry but it was possible to see small ponds and some small weeds once in a while. This showed that there must be water beds beneath the ground.‘They must have wells then.’ Darius thought of how the people back at the fortress were able to provide water. They walked to the pond cautiously while Galgamuth flew higher to get a better view.Darius stood at the very edge of the boulder clusters, just a few centimeters from getting his feet wet.“Why are you smiling?” Kenji asked Talliu who had put on a strange smile at some point.“Oh, I just remembered something funny. It's nothing.” Talliu responded casually. He took out black handgun as he busied himself with arranging his bullets and inserti

Chapter 68: Mother Cyrix
Seeing the raging mother Cyrix coming after him, Darius turned into the cluster of boulders and ran, he ran as fast as his legs could carry him.Like an out of control wrecking ball, the big Cyrix smashed its plumpy sides into many big rocks, which slowed it down for some time. Even then, it was still closing in.Darius could hear the grunts of the Cyrix coming closet and closer to him. Darius had already reached speeds previously impossible for him, he just didn't know it yet.Spotting a thin but sturdy looking dry tree not too far from him at the end of the boulder forest, he pushed himself harder so that he could reach it.Upon arriving, Darius jumped like never before, narrowly escaping a nasty bite to his thighs. He quickly crawled his way to the second lowest branch before looking down. Thankfully, the Cyrix could not climb after him, it just kept on screeching from the ground. She was still conscious of the fact that her two cyrix cubs were left behind, she was not too comforta

Chapter 69: Priya
Despite victory being at her grasp, the mother cyrix was doomed to never receive it. Like a ghost hidden in the wind, Kenji ran off from the top of one of the boulders not far from the running cyrix. His katana glinted as it was positioned for a stabbing attack. The mother cyrix could sense something was amiss, her instincts warned her of incoming danger, but couldn't find out why. With brilliant precision, Kenji dropped down onto the moving cyrix’s back with his blade piercing into her forehead and coming out from her lower jaw. Life abruptly faded from the mother cyrix’s eyes, its front limbs gave out and it tumbled forward from the inertia. Kenji had long jumped off the bear with the confidence that he had delivered a killing move. He slashed the air in front of him to get rid of the blood. This revealed the glowing blue markings on the blade that matched the ones on his face. *SHING!* In one fluid motion, the katana was sheathed into its scabbard. One would be able to tell

Chapter 70: The Godless
Amidst all the commotion that just went on. Darius eyes slowly opened up to see the familiar ceiling of his designated room. Turning his head, he saw Talliu facing him while sitting on a wooden chair. Not too far from his position was a large hole in the wall right next to the door. Despite this, Talliu still wore his saintly smile. This created a weird contrast in Darius’s mind. “You’re awake, that's good.” Talliu spoke up once he saw Darius open eyes. “What happened to me?” Darius asked as he sat up on the bed. His hand uncontrollably went to his forehead in a fruitless attempt to ease his headache. “You got hit, that's what happened.” Talliu was calm in giving his response. Darius remembered what happened, he recalled seeing a massive paw enlarging before his face before he blacked out. “You should be in a much worse condition but Clancy healed you, you should thank her some time.” Talliu nonchalantly suggested to which Darius simply nodded. Darius moved the sheets a
